They finally opened a Kung Fu Tea near me and I'm obsessed. The tea is so good totally worth the hype. New go-to spot for sure.

Love that it is spacious and has many seating options from ornate couches to smaller circular metal/ wood stools. Their chai is so yummy and strong, I recommend getting it with cinnamon. Also enjoyed the ham and cheese croissant which was pretty decadent because the dough tasted more like challah. Baristas are so nice as well. Great place for going out to do work with plenty of chargers and WiFi, or just to stop by and pick up a drink/ food. Only downside is I can't get pictures of anything here because the food and drink are too good and I'm too locked in working.

The inside makes you feel like you're in your own den or living room. The staff is great and makes everything to perfection. I put this place right up there with Gregory's and Southdown Coffee. The banana bread stuffed with Nutella slightly warmed is a great halftime show. The Americano was made perfectly and so was the Cortado. If Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls were a real place, Malverne would be a worthwhile rival. Grami is the latest coffee shop to open, and it's worth a visit! THE GROWS: There is on-street parking, but beware of where you park. Read the signage, since this shop is across from the LIRR, and feed the meters if you park there. THE GLOWS: There is stable wifi and it's free. Their coffee is outstanding. The first time I went there, I ordered an iced latte with coconut milk and added pistachio flavoring. When the young person handed me my order, she asked me to try it first to make sure I liked how it came out. It was perfect! Each time I've been there, I've had a different version of iced coffee, with the pistachio being my favorite. They will customize your drink any way you want. Another thing I noticed is how they have a wooden playset of a barista station in the corner for young children. How nice is that? The owners really take into account the young single person as well as families who patronize their business. Great move, Grami!

The prices for tourist were outrageous in Jamaica so upon my returned, I began looking into reputable coffee vendors. I'm officially a self professed coffee connoisseur (nose in the air, pinky finger outstretched). Lol After some research, I discovered Gold Star Coffee had rave reviews and offered Keurig K-cups of Blue Mountain and Hawaiian Kona. Gold Star Coffee is always well packaged, clips included to maintain freshness and Blue Mountain has the seal of authenticity. The coffee flavor is A1! Price 4/5 I haven't found other vendors to be as reasonable given the quality. And I am a little thrifty. 40 K-Cups for $63.00 80 K-cups for $115 for half and half Kona/ JBM They've include complimentary bags of Premium coffee on my larger orders, free shipping over $60 and delivery has been within a week's time with tracking updates. I absolutely love the vendor, I'm so glad to have found it. Coffee is premium minus other brands that offer blends which minimize the quality. I discovered there was a New York storefront which has since closed however ordering online is efficient and convenient. If you want to start your day off right, begin with Gold Star Coffee!!!!!

Came here on Saturday night after a Dru Hill concert in Jersey that ended early (around 9:30am), and since I had a babysitter for the night, I begged my husband to take me someplace for a quick drink since we live in Valley Stream. We got there around 10:15 and stayed until midnight. Paid a $20 entry fee for hubby (they said it was a special R&B night). That annoyed me since again, it's a neighborhood spot. Once we were in there though, the music DEFINITELY made it worth it. I was jammin. The DJ hit every song that made me stand up from my chair and dance. Beautiful, light skinned bartender (with a gap) gave us excellent, attentive service - even once it got crowded. The other beautiful, darker skinned bartender with a head scarf - not so much. That one pretty much ignored us the entire night and paid more attention to serving her friends at the bar. We ordered hookah with one guy and apparently he never put the order in because a table full of women who came in after us got their hookah before us. Once I saw that, I told my husband to cancel ours, which he did. Then a younger gentlemen who was handling the hookah walked by and I complained to him about making a table full of women priority over a couple who was there 20mins before them. He was actually very apologetic and offered to make our hookah asap. We accepted and it was great. Definitely got a buzz. Get the mango and mint. We ordered wings and they never came. Bathroom was super clean. Crowd was mixed with early 30's to late 40's - which was perfect since I'm 41. Don't bother with the fruit punch they have at the bar - they make it straight and offer to mix it with whatever alcohol you want, but it's extremely bland and looks MUCH better than it tastes. Most importantly - I felt safe. We'll definitely be back when we have another mommy/daddy date.
