I tried the 3Q milk tea that contained boba, coconut jelly and pudding. Boba was well done and the texture was just about right, although not the softest boba that I've ever had. Pudding was soft and not as sweet as others I tried. Coconut jelly was sweet and had a good level of coconut flavor. I liked the combination of the three and it tasted good in one bite. I got the regular, hot Black Milk Tea with pearls. The tapioca balls were so soft with the right consistency of chewy-ness. Some of it tasted sweet like honey tapioca that I usually like from Kung Fu Tea. The tea taste was strong. I got the 30% sugar and I felt that was definitely sweet enough for me already. They have really good fruit teas with pulp. I've had the lychee and mango ones so far and they were really tasty. I wanted to try a new bubble tea spot and decided to get a couple of drinks here. Came around noon on a Sunday and it was quiet. Several customers arrived after I did. Ice and sugar levels are customizable for most drinks. Mango smoothie - good. One of the less icier versions compared to other locations where you sip just the fruit juice and are left with tons of not fully shaven ice. You can taste some of the mango pulp. The boba pearls and coconut jelly are good. Honey Lemon Green Tea - added chia seeds to this and it was so good. I prefer no ice to taste more of the ingredients so it isn't diluted. Delicious. Passionfruit Fiber Jelly Tea - love this. So interesting and different. The different types of jelly with the passionfruit flavors work well together. Will have to try the other options in the fiber jelly tea series. I noticed the sign said credit card minimum was for two drinks but saw a guy use his card for one drink. This place is always worth the schlep to Kew Gardens. It may not have all your standard bubble tea offerings (taro where you at?!), but it offers such creative line up, its easily forgiven. Especially if you are into fruit teas. Right now service is operating under COVID modifications. You place your order inside and then wait outside for them to call your number. Turn around time is pretty quick so no worries about waiting outside for too long. On this trip, I decided to order the black tiger milk. It was a wonderful mix of milk and black sugar. Not cloyingly sweet like a lot of other places. The boba was pleasantly chewy as well. Had it been warmer, I would've opted for a diced fruit tea, which is just so refreshing on a hot day (and aesthetically pleasing to boot)! I tried the waffle cakes in the shape of a paw in their Brooklyn location before, and they were so good. Premium Bubble Teas! Mr. Wish Bubble Teas are definitely of the premium variety. The Ginger Milk Tea is available at Mr. Wish with fresh ginger which puts it above another premium bubble tea joint with the same drink. Definitely an option for those looking for a kick in their bubble teas. My favorite regular Milk Tea is no slouch but doesn't have as strong of a tea flavor that I look for. Mr. Wish is one of the best chains out there, but the employees here were not too friendly. The customers were much more courteous, despite the claustrophobic nature of the packed store, and they were the ones who took the pictures. It seemed like they weren't particularly thrilled about serving here or being here and the drinks didn't taste as good as some of the other locations of Mr. Wish. They were a little watered down. The Great Neck location is the best in the region by a distance. We have been to the Lefferts Boulevard location the most times (but also to Port Washington area one). Staff is always nice. Mr. Wish, oh how I love treating myself to one of your bubble teas after a long day at work. I'm so glad there is a bubble tea shop in Kew Gardens right next to the LIRR train station, and I don't have to trek to Forest Hills or Flushing for good bubble tea. I make a stop here at least once or twice a week to get my usual drink - mango tea with fresh pulp & tapioca. The mango tea with fresh pulp is made with diced up pieces of fresh mango. They also have other fruit teas with fresh pulp (peach, apple, mixed berries, and a mixed fruit tea). Mr. Wish also has great seasonal drinks. In the summertime, I go for their dragonfruit or mango smoothie, which is thick, delicious and refreshing. In the wintertime and particularly when I am feeling under the weather, I prefer their hot ginger kumquat tea. Their drinks are all made with fresh ingredients, none of that powdery flavored fruit tea mix you'd get at some of these other bubble tea shops. I've honestly tried so many of the drinks on their menu, and none of them disappoint! The service here is a hit or miss. Sometimes, there is a line and they can take forever to make your drink, which can be a bit frustrating (especially if you have a train to catch) so please allow yourself some extra time - I had to learn that the hard way! Another advice would be to call ahead for pick-up. Other than that, I highly recommend Mr. Wish and love supporting a local family-owned small business. Also, don't forget to ask them for their loyalty card, you get a free drink after you fill up your card with stamps! read more

We stumbled across this place after catching a flick right across the street. From the decor, it looks like a very clean family owned type of business. While they close at 10pm, they were able to accommodate us at around 10:20 ish provided that we pay in cash...which was no problem. I yelped this place and fortunately, there was a 10% coupon code for entire order. Thanks yelp. While it was late and they naturally ran out of ingredients, I ended up getting a passion fruit green tea while my wife got the coconut sago drink. They're pretty good. I have been a customer of mr. Wish since I was a senior in high school years ago, I go here very frequently at least once a week, but today I had an experience that I will never be a customer again. First issue, I went today with my 2 year old & my 12 year old sister, my sister always gets the peach sunset & my daughter likes the lychee tea, the peach sunset comes with a different type of lid than the other drinks I get that come with a plastic film, I asked the cashier if I can have 2 lids because my 2 year old always spills her drink from the plastic film top, I was told no I can't have that lid even tho I explained why. I let it go. Second issue, once I got my drinks, when I get 3 drinks I usually get them in the plastic bag, today they gave it to me in a paper tray, I was holding multiple things so I had a hard time opening the door while holding the tray, while there was people by the door instead of helping me open it they watched my struggle so once I got the door open one drink fell out the tray, I didn't even make it out the door. I turned around and asked if I can get a replacement but I was told no and she told me the price. And told me "it was in my hands" which yes I understand but I literally was just handed the drinks so it was upsetting that I paid for a drink that I can't even have. So I walked out to hand the other two drinks to my sister and put my other items down, I walked back in and asked if I can at least have a refund and the cashier refused. So I called a nearby precinct and explained to them the situation and asked if I should be able to be refunded or not, they in fact DID tell me "YES" I should be able to get a refund or replacement, I then called the store to let the cashier no and she STILL refused. So I called the precinct back and they called Mr. Wish to tell them I should be able to get a replacement or refund & the cashier still said "it was in my hands" and told him to call back. I literally spent the last of the cash I had on me to get cold drinks because it was over 80 degrees outside and at the end of the day, I lost a drink, and the money I spent on it so I couldn't even get something else. Moral of the story, it shows they care more about money than the loyalty of their customers. read more
