I really wanted to like this piercing shop because I was excited to get my septum done…read more Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and damaging to my nose. At pretty in ink, My septum was pierced in the wrong placement and not through the correct "sweet spot," but instead through cartilage, which caused significantly more pain than it should have. I've had multiple piercings before, including more sensitive areas, and this was by far the most painful experience I've had. Maybe the worst pain I ever felt to be honest. Also The jewelry used was also poor quality, and the ball fell out the next day, which made the situation even worse and unsafe. I ended up going to an APP-certified piercing studio afterward called Above and Beyond in Santa Barbara. (Highly recommend) where I was told the placement was incorrect and not done properly with cheap small jewelry. I now have to pay over $100 again to have the piercing redone correctly. And get re stabbed through my nose. So thank you for the worst experience ever, pretty in ink. I deserve a REFUND. I want my money back. I'm sharing this so others can be informed before choosing this shop. I would not recommend based on my experience. Save your nose, save your money.

I found Evan after searching for way too many hours online. I wanted a great tattoo artist that was…read moreskilled and able to do clean straight lines. As a perfectionist I did not want anything on my body forever that wasn't exactly what I wanted. My first tattoo experience with Evan was great. I e-mailed him giving him details of what I wanted and pictures. He responded right away and we discussed exactly what I wanted. Booking a date and time was super easy, I let him know a few dates and times that I was available and he was able to accommodate one of those. When I walked into the shop for my first tattoo from him I was very impressed by the cleanliness and organization. There were a few chairs lined up on each side with the equipment right next to them. The walls were nicely decorated with tattoo framed pictures and artwork done by the artists. They have a little seating area with books of the artwork/tattoos that the artists have done. There is also a TV and another bench, so you will never have to stand around waiting if you don't want to. They also have a little desk to the left as soon as you walk in. He showed me his sketch of the tattoo idea I wanted, army style stars with water color splotches of black, green and blue with my sons initials in each star on my right shoulder blade. To say the least, I was very impressed as he improved the picture I sent him greatly. This was the first watercolor style tattoo he has done, but I wasn't that concerned as his other work was amazing. The tattoo didn't take that long and it was amazing, better than I had envisioned. The watercolor splotches were perfect. I think I stared at it for days in the mirror as I was so in love with it. I also wanted a smaller wrist tattoo that I came back a few months later for (2/21/17). I sent him the font that I wanted and described it to him. When I came in I wanted a few changes to be done and he did them no problem and it looked perfect. I had the word Love tattooed on my wrist with the O as a heart. The lines are so straight and everything was filled in just as it should be. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found Evan. I will not go to any other tattoo artist, ever! If he ever moves shops, you better believe I will be following him. Tattoos are on your body forever and they should be just the way you want them. Evan has been able to sketch and tattoo exactly what I wanted. I am beyond impressed with his skills. My husband liked my tattoos so much he set up an appointment with him to start on a sleeve. While I understand some people don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a tattoo, you want quality. Evan's prices are great in my opinion. He could probably charge way more due to the quality of his work. I had no problem whatsoever paying his prices, especially after my first tattoo and how perfect it was. If you are looking for an amazing tattoo artist, look no further than Evan Weidner. You will not regret it, I promise.
