First off I want to thank Tomas for his true passion for art. He was so detail oriented and really made sure I was happy with what was going on my body. He didn't make a fuss about moving it twice or changing the size really truly a kind human. He was a fast and very light handed artist that wasted no time but also didn't feel rushed. Even when I wanted it in a brow ink that was far more difficult than expected and didn't have the best saturation he told me if things need to be gone over again just to come back and he would take care of it. We went may 21st for 2 industrials and 1 conch. Unfortunately my bfs ear can't do an industrial and my daughter's ear is so small she needed a smaller bar, which Jessie only did because she saw how excited my daughter was for her first piercing. So their piercings got pushed 2 weeks. My conch piercing was amazing. Jessie was and is amazing. She is so patient and comforting. Fast forward 2 weeks.. My bf got a conch because his ear wasn't working with an industrial. He hates needles and Jessie made him feel so comfortable and his piercing was so easy with her because she explained everything. Next was my daughter. 16 years old. Her first piercing she wanted the industrial. Im so thankful for accidentally making our appointments with Jessie. My daughter's piercing was more difficult than she did for myself and her dad (conch) . Jessie was so calm and patient. Jessie is seriously the best. Just want to say a huge thank you to Jessie for making my sons birthday. He has wanted his ears pierced since he was 6, so for his 15th birthday I finally gave in. After doing a little research for piercing artists in the county I came across Jessie's name. Let me just say, she is amazing. Knowledgeable, kind and from what I can tell, simply good at what she does. My son is squeamish and I was a little worried how he would handle it but she talked him through each step and explained in detail proper care and what the next few months will look like for him. I went here to get my nostril and septum pierced, but only came out with the pierced nostril and a partially pierced septum. Luckily the nostril was done first and was quick and easy. So far it's healing well and I like the jewelry. I got a tiger eye labret. When it was time for the septum, it was the complete opposite. The piercer tried twice to get through my septum and it would not go through. It was a lot more pain and pressure while trying to push the needle in. After the 2nd attempt the clamp was removed from my nose and blood rushed down my face. They apologized and said it had never happened to them. I wasn't charged for the septum piercing and they gave me their card for me to come back and try again when I was ready. I've never had plastic surgery and I don't have a deviated septum. Maybe they were in the wrong spot trying to go through cartilage or maybe the clamp used at the time was not lining up, and that's why the needle wasn't going through. Either way it hurt and I wasn't about to keep having them try to force it through my nose. Instead, I went to another piercer at a different shop, had them check my nose and I was able to get my septum piercing done with no issues after my nose had some time to heal. read more

I received a crooked tattoo from them. But that can be fixed. I have to pay another parlor to fix it. But they said they could change the shape slightly to make it look more straight. What can't be fixed is the dishonesty. They took my drivers license to make a photo copy of it. But did not give it back. A few hours after the tattoo they called and said they still had the license. I was about two hours north retuning to the Bay Area where I live. They said they would send my license. They never did. After a few weeks of calling and them saying they hadn't sent it, but would send it; they finally said they sent it. I waited a few weeks it never arrived. They insisted they sent it, repeatedly insisted. Even feigning outrage that I was "bothering them". I contacted the postal inspector and filed a missing mail investigation request. A few days later the post office contacted me to inform me no mail was sent from any zip code in Ventura to my address in at least the previous six months. Ventura Tattoo and Piercing lied. They never sent the damn license. Worse; nobody at the tattoo parlor feels any responsibility for any customer issues. They are all independent workers so if there is an issue it is not any of their problem. Even the owner does not give a damn if one of the artists screws over a customer. Wonky, inconsistent tattoo work, zero professionalism. Don't go there. read more

I scheduled a big hip and thigh piece with Danny, one of the tattoo artists a week and a half ago. My appointment was today, Saturday 12/23/23 and I sent out a courtesy text to confirm if he did get my art done and that we were on for our scheduled appointment today. A few hours later (3 hours before my appt), he responded to my text stating that he was so busy this last week that he didn't have any time to work on my art and wanted to reschedule. This is completely unprofessional to have your client reach out and then for you to cancel stating that you didn't do anything with their piece of art that they scheduled with plenty of time to be prepared. I will never go back to this tattoo parlor again. read more

i got a tattoo here this month, and i'm super disappointed with how it turned out. the lettering on it is completely faded, and the shading looks blotchy. Funny thing is that the artist who did it told me to hit him up if i notice it fading and that he'll do it for free. I contacted him and he responded that he'll touch it up, but after i tried to confirm with him an appointment, he stopped messaging me. I love it here! I discovered VT in a Google search as I was trying to find local artists for my latest ink. I found Rob Hill and was immediately impressed with the quality of his work. I contacted him and was able to schedule an appointment within a week. From start to finish (ish...we still have one more session), my experience has been nothing but phenomenal. Rob is extremely knowledgeable and I felt instantly comfortable with him. This was a big piece for me as it not only is in a very obvious spot, but its the first one that I've actually spent time working with the artist. I brought several pictures of what I was looking for and within a week Rob had sent me a sketch. It was absolutely gorgeous and I scheduled a final consult to go over the finer details. He had great suggestions for background and making the tattoo have movement and depth. He's a very busy artist and yet I always felt he took his time with our meetings and was very open to my imput (even though I don't know what I'm doing)! As far as the tattoo itself - I am absolutely in LOVE! He has a very soft hand and it hurt WAAAAY less then I was expecting. I brought movies and a book think I'd be bored in such a long session, but we chatted the whole time and I really enjoyed the whole experience. As for the shop itself, everyone is very friendly and its a very clean environment. All things that matter when you're having a needle prodding your skin for 4+ hours.
