I was wheeling my elderly friend (95!) to her hair stylest appointment when we passed by ProNails. I had been thinking she needed some serious work on her finger/toe nails...nursing home life doesn't make that so easy! The very pleasant folks at ProNail confirmed that they're happy to take walk ins, and quoted a very reasonable price, so I said we'd be back. After seeing her hairstylist, we got her into the mani-pedi chair, and they double teamed her. Fast, gentle service that left her hands and feet looking great! The pedicure (soak, massage, trim, massage and dry) looked so pleasurable, I told them I'd be there next week on my own! read more

I came in with my sister for a pedicure, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences we've had at a nail salon. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell that made it hard to relax. The service itself took over an hour, which wouldn't have been an issue if the quality matched the time spent--but it didn't. The technician applied at least six coats of polish on my toes even though the color was supposed to be a solid, not see-through shade. Instead of achieving a smooth, opaque finish, it ended up looking thick and uneven. To make matters worse, they used an old-school cheese grater tool for callus removal, which felt outdated and uncomfortable. Overall, the experience felt unhygienic, poorly executed, and not worth the time or money. I wouldn't recommend this salon. read more

Wonderful service, the spa pedicure was the cure to my achy preggo feet and the quality of the products were great, in my opinion. It has been a while since I have pampered myself as I tend to like the basic clean up. However, after this experience I think it is totally worth it and the mud mask that they use is soooooooooo good! My legs and feet feel great even over 2 hrs after the experience! read more

yeah, they were cool about taking my walk-in. they closed at 5, i got there like at 4:40pm, which i was like okay cool. i called around 4:15pm before coming too, saying if it is okay/are you sure? they reassured that it would be just fine, it's plenty of time for me to still come. asked for their deluxe pedi $45. got charged $68 asking for gel & french tip. i tipped $20 cash, BUT i wasn't even asked if i needed change back. i wasn't trying to give you all that for tip, lady. what goes on, my goodness. = $88 total for a supposedly "pedicure," my nails weren't even filed, not trimmed shorter, barely anything done. straight up bs robbery. disregards what i want, and says it'll look better bcos i wanted french tip on my toes. what in the world?! no one was there, just me & my lonesome. the thing that bothered me the most is the fact my husband was so kind enough to spend his hard earned income on me to get a simple gesture of a pedicure, while me being a sahm with our 7 month old daughter & 5 yr old kiddo who is also on the spectrum. with that being said, my special needs son has therapies back to back. so no, i do not really have random sort of leisure time for myself at all. ever. this was such a disappointing experience i have ever encountered. first time & certainly the last! i'm going to my usual spot read more

I've come to the salon a few times and it's been great service, however, I made an appointment for today at 5 PM to get a fill done and to fix a broken nail. I had made the appointment on Thursday and confirmed with the woman I spoke to on the phone that 5 PM Friday would work fine, I showed up to the appointment at 4:50 and the store was closed and all the lights were off. I waited until 5:10 PM and no one ever showed up. I called the phone a few times and left a voicemail. It was very upsetting to have made an appointment and have no one show up, and not receive a phone call stating that my appointment had been canceled or that the store would be closed early. regular business hours according to the store sign and the recording on the store phone are 9 AM to 7 PM. read more

Unfortunately this is the worst manicure I've ever had. I went in for an afternoon mani/pedi. I don't get my nails done very often, so this was supposed to be a treat for me after a long work week. The environment was chaotic and uncomfortable, and I was treated with apathy and indifference. They had political news blaring loudly on a big-screen TV so I put in my headphones to listen to music, and the woman doing my nails seemed annoyed that I had my headphones in. My nails look absolutely terrible, and I spent $100 on this. I'm very disappointed at the result and I feel like I just wasted my money. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Update: I added some pictures of what has happened to my gel manicure after just three days. There is chipping and severe discoloration of the polish. There is something wrong with this nail polish... I have never seen gel do this before. I have now asked for a refund twice, with no response from them-- even though the owner did message me to tell me that I was wrong about my experience. read more

I've been here a few times for pedicures and finally decided to get a gel manicure here as well. The pedicures are... fine. Not great. Not terrible. But I would strongly encourage anyone needing a manicure to go elsewhere. The first time I got a gel manicure here it was bad - very sloppy with the polish, then to clean up the sloppiness she used a file (forcefully) around my nails. Painful. I decided I would not be returning here again. Well today unfortunately I was desperate because I was not able to get in anywhere else on Saturday, and this place is basically the only one open on Sundays. My last gel manicure was now chipped and I had no choice but to return here. Huge mistake. Incredibly sloppy - see the photos. The manicurist also cut my finger when trying to file away her sloppiness with the polish. I was still bleeding when I left the shop. I will NOT ever make the mistake of coming here again. read more

I've been here twice now and each time I've gotten the express pedicure and a dip manicure. The staff is super friendly, and my pedicures both times were great! However, my dip manis both times have been pretty bad. The nails themselves look alright, can definitely notice some errors up close but I can live with that. The main issue for me is they use the grinder on your cuticles. The first time I came here I was hoping it was just a one time thing, but it was the same again this time even with a new technician :( My nail beds are pretty raw from the grinder and it's quite painful. There was no lotion hand massage, no soaking or anything like that. I came home and soaked my hands in hydrogen peroxide to kill any bacteria and it burned like crazy on all the cuts. I wanted to love this place because they do a happy hour but I sadly will not be returning. See pics for swollen/raw nail beds. Pics were taken 1 day after manicure. $45 for dip mani, $30 for express pedicure. read more

I gave this place 3 stars only because they were friendly . I was extremely disappointed with the outcome . I asked for a pink and white ombré . I've had pink and white ombré for months by my nail salon in Minneapolis . So I know exactly how it should look . Worst nails ever. Came in to shorten my nails for work and just replace the color and she just took off the color, completely ignored my request to shorten them and didn't bother to reshape (the ends were uneven due to filing). When I asked her to shorten them she was like bothered and when I asked her to square off the ends she cut into my cuticles leaving them raw and it wasn't even close to being straight. When it came to painting, she flooded my cuticles and the color was uneven. Not to mention she recommended that I don't get a fill but you can tell where my natural nails were growing out. Would not recommend spending any type of money here. read more

After 2 days my Gel French mani chipped on 2 nails. I won't go back. I had polish on my cuticles when I left the shop as is shown by another customers picture here. Sloppy. I will return to my original shop. Only went to Pro Nails bcz they were open on Sunday. read more

I came here last weekend while visiting a friend for Labor Day. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I received a pedicure and a gel manicure. I really liked that the staff had me stay in the massage chair for the manicure treatment. The color I chose was a "unicorn" finish, which they charged $15 extra for. That was fine, until I realized the unicorn finish only took an extra 2 minutes to do. Gel polish typically lasts 3 weeks for me, but this time it chipped after less than 1 week. It started cracking just 4 days after the manicure, which I've never even seen before. Overall, I'm super disappointed to pay extra for a treatment that didn't even withstand 1 week. I live 5 hours away, so I cannot go back for a repair. I'm leaving 2 stars because the place was clean, the staff was friendly, and my pedicure looks nice. If this review was for my manicure alone, I would leave 0 stars. read more

This place was great! Went in for a mani pedi. The deluxe was worth it, and they took their time especially with my gel manicure. Loved the salt scrub, dead sea clay and stuff. My hands were in pretty bad shape and they were kind, gentle, and non-judgemental. Lastly, they did a great job! I'm super happy and will be back again. read more

I came here to get my nails done with a friend and was able to get them done right away since they were not too busy. I showed a picture of how I wanted my nails to look and got them to look exactly like the picture. The man who did my nails was very precise on making sure my acrylics were the same length and that it looked perfect. I noticed that the people who were working today took their time. My friend was also very impressed by the way her nails came out. Very nice and calming atmosphere. Definitely my favorite nail salon in Ventura. read more

When you walk in the door, you feel like you're in a friendly place and everyone here knows what they're doing. I've walked into nail places that feel so awkward, I turn around and leave. Anna and her crew are SO good at everything from regular manicures to gel manicures and everything else. The gel manicures I get from Anna last 3 weeks! Don't bother going anywhere else! read more

When it came time for my gel manicure, the same woman (not Kim) started doing my nails and I told her twice that I scheduled with Kim and she just said okay both times (I think there was a language barrier with her). I basically gave up on the fact that I wouldn't have my manicure done by Kim. The woman that did my nails had to call over someone else to fix the shaping of my nails at one point (I wanted almond and the tip was heavily to the left on a couple of nails). The salon looks nice inside, seems clean, and I think I would have been really happy had I had the service with who I asked for. My manicure is fine (some bumps and some overlap on my cuticles). I think if you are just looking for an everyday manicure or pedicure, you'll likely be happy here.

Needless to say it was like putting lotion on my legs which I could have done myself. Then I asked her to get my toenails shorter and cut on the sides which she didn't want to do because she said she would lose her license. Like what?! I go to Y2 nail salon in Camarillo and they're amazing. They do exactly what I want and more. Highly recommend going there and save yourself the extra $15.

I waited. 6:30 p.m. Still nothing. 6:35 p.m. Still nothing. 6:40 p.m. Still nothing. At 6:42 p.m., I asked, "What's the point of paying 20 percent of your bill if they don't respect their own '20 percent policy' when you're late? They keep your money and then bump you." It's incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional to ask for 20 percent upfront and then be lazy about keeping track of their own appointments, especially when they charge 20 percent upfront for them. In all my years of getting pedicures and manicures, I have never been charged a 20 percent fee upfront. And on top of that, I'm left wondering what the point of the fee and the appointment is if they don't honor the time. If they are this lax with appointments, I can only speculate on the shortcuts they employ in providing service and maintaining quality. When you charge a fee for a service upfront, you must deliver on your promises. This is not only disappointing, but also problematic.
