Antisemitic! They do not accommodate religion. I just drove an hour to get a tattoo for them to refuse to accommodate my religion based on some rule they made up when I got there. This rule was not posted anywhere, but when I showed up with the Star of David on, there was magically a rule that violated my religion Update: nowhere on any of their postings was there a rule like that UNTIL I SHOWED UP. read more

I recently read a review about this shop that I found to be false and slanderous. This woman posted a review giving this shop one star and accusing them of antisemitism. I have contacted this person directly to tell them that posting on truths about a person or business online is bad karma. I have had several tattoos done at the shop and I've been coming here for four years. I am Jewish and they know it. Never once did I have any slight inclination or issue with antisemitism. Actually, it's quite the opposite. They are welcoming of all. Shame on that woman for posting lies. Obviously, she was serving some sort of agenda that she had. I highly recommend the shop. They listen to what you want. Will go through design changes and sizes so you get exactly what you want. Once everyone's happy with the design and style they will go through may stencil placement alterations to make sure your happy before they start. They are professional, understanding, accommodating, and have a wide range of specialists so there's someone to help with different design requests. Bumper is so easy to work with and extremely talented. He listens, clarifies, then implements you're notes and he's strong in many styles. I've gotten lettering and a realistic tattoo from him and I can't want to go back again. The whole shop is accommodating and easy to work with. My husband is going in to work with another designer next week at Black Raven since his style is different then mine. All around a wonderful experience and very happy with the results. Their prices are also very reasonable for the work they do. They are in no way close to my house but they are worth the drive. read more

Absolutely hooked on the vibe. After a year of debating and postponing, my husband and I came in with a super basic design wanting to get matching tats. Kayo was our artist and he was super gentle and mindful of our experience. Despite it being my first tattoo, I found that I trusted him through the process. You can tell that artists (and clients) at this spot are passionate about their craft and the shop. Everyone was super friendly. When we came in, the shop minimum was $150 but I felt like it was worth it for the experience. Will definitely be back, especially for their Friday the 13th specials. read more

I absolutely love this place!! As a horror fan myself, the decor is awesome. I've been here 7 times, and everytime I come in, the expirence is superb. They are kind, attentive, and hospitable. They welcome everyone with open arms, listen, and create masterpieces! Jazz is my artist. We get along great, laugh, and tell stories. She is an amazing artist! Kayo is the mother effing man! Pre-Process: I originally reached out to an artist close to where I lived regarding a coverup tattoo. I started collaborating with them and when it came to the design they drew up, it was not what I was looking for, but rather what they wanted for me. We (respectfully) went back and forth and ultimately the artist deemed their work more important than my vision. I was a little annoyed that I wasted a few weeks and that they were pretty inflexible towards what I ultimately wanted on MY body. This was a blessing in disguise however, however... I looked at Yelp and stumbled upon Black Raven. They had amazing reviews and I found Kayo's work to align with my vision. I met with him, we talked and ultimately he designed something that fit my needs. As the client, he put me first from the very beginning to the end result. He was super laid back and flexible. Process: During the process today, he was super accommodating. My body has taken a toll over the years with all the weight lifting. That said, he was super patient with me taking a couple breaks for my back/ neck to stretch and use the restroom. Not once did I feel like I was inconveniencing him by stopping. Additionally, I LOVE the work that he did for me. It was exactly how I had imagined/ what he showed me in the pre-process and I think he's just a true professional all around. If I get any more work done, Kayo is my guy and I'd recommend this dude to anyone I know. read more

I am over the moon happy by the work Kat did for me (@kat.stop.that) i am the first to get this sibling tattoo with my siblings who are all over the US. Since I'm the oldest i was SpongeBob(of course) and my house is in color. I couldn't see 100% of SpongeBobs house since it's so far back on my leg but when my sister took the second photo and i was really able to see all the small details, keep in mind each house is only 2 inches big, but the detail she put into this is amazing. This is by far my favorite tattoo on my body. She was incredibly professional, the tattoo parlor was nice and clean, great vibe, and in a cool area. Kat, you're my new tattoo person. February 2021, went into Black Raven Tattoo after seeing great reviews on Yelp. I was able to schedule an appointment with KAYO who said he would be able to do a coverup in the form of a dragon. I sent him my inspiration and he assured me everything would be ready for our appointment. The day of my appointment, KAYO did not have my dragon drawn and I had to wait two hours for him to sketch it out. My dragon sadly came out like a copy and paste with no added detail or "artist touch". When I realized there were no arms and legs on my dragon, he said I could come back another day to add them. He added the arms in such an awkward place, it looks silly. I was thoroughly disappointed as this is the largest piece on my body and I paid good money for it. This is my feedback. Tattoos are such a sacred experience, I hope no one else has or had an experience similar to mine. Thanks for listening and happy new year! UPDATE: The owner has publicly responded to you all with nonsense instead of directly addressing me. I posted my experience. No lies told here. I'm not sure what she's talking about pertaining to an original draw up that I didn't like. I gave Kayo artistic freedom to do something amazing and he chose to do the bare minimum. My dragon was only a reference point. He knows I was anticipating him making my vision greater. Anyone getting a tattoo (not flash and predrawn) knows what this means. I received an email regarding feedback and here is my feedback. No need to flood your page with only positive experiences if negative ones were had as well. I really have zero to compare them to, but I had a great experience. Everyone was super helpful and patient. It was my first tattoo! I took my son (go his first tattoo also!) with me and we both felt very comfortable. It's a very welcoming environment. The artists were fabulous. Aftercare instructions were spot on. I came here with some friends and we were immediately greeted and helped by Amanda at the front desk. She was super sweet and made both checking-in and checking-out a very smooth process. I decided to get work done by Kayo. He was polite and and fun to talk to. I am extremely satisfied with what he designed for me. Kayo paid extra attention to the placement and flow of my tattoo. Do not let--under any circumstances--Nadia work on your tattoo or even get near you with a needle. She worked on my tattoo which ended up looking like a cartoon sticker from a 99 cent store. When I kindly and respectfully asked her to change some things on the damage she caused, she became hostile, defensive, and flat out said, "I'm not going to do any more work on your tattoo, just pay me and I'm done." She became extremely angry when I asked her to "fix" the incredibly ugly work she did, which looked nothing like the example I provided her with. So I just paid her and got rid of her. She appears to be a typical angry "I hate myself and my life" kinda person. I don't need that kind of attitude or bad energy from anyone. Now, this is when Gnar comes into the picture. When I discussed with Gnar the damage Nadia did to my arm and asked him for his thoughts on what he can do to fix it. We discussed several options, and throughout the entire time, not only was Gnar nice, he was very respectful and thoughtful. Man, this guy is a true professional and an incredible artist!!! Well, long story short, he fixed it, and made it look 1000 times better than what Nadia did. The management felt responsibility for Nadia's ugly tattoo work and poor attitude, so they didn't charge me for the work Gnar did. But I really appreciated Gnar's kindness and professionalism so I willingly tipped him. I hope he isn't going to get into trouble for this, but I will honestly say that I would go back to Black Ravens Tattoo only because of Gnar and the management. I am warning everyone, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT allow Nadia to work on your tattoo. You will forever regret it for the rest of your life. Gnar, thanks for all your help! Your artistic talent is top notch! read more

Yes this was resolved. However because of the absolutely horrible customer service and threats made I would have told my customer to disregard the remaining $75 as an apology for the rude service. So yes it was resolved on their end because they got their money however nothing to resolve how I was treated. Being a CEO myself this is not how I treat customers and I would compensate them for their trouble. Therefore I still would not recommend going here and understand why there was not one customer on this place and never is when I pass by. All of my friends and family get tattoos and will make sure they and their friends go elsewhere. read more

Such an amazing experience at Black Raven Tattoo! I went in to chat about covering up an old (very old) tat that had the name of "someone I used to know" on it. I had a very basic idea about what I wanted. Ash at the front desk, who is incredibly sweet and helpful with a wonderful attitude and outlook on their life, took my idea and info and passed it on to Gnar, who came up with a drawing that blew my mind! I agreed right away on what was a very reasonable price and set the appointment for the next day. Side note, if you are serious about getting a tattoo at this supremely excellent studio, you don't need to balk at placing a deposit. I came in on the day of the appointment and saw Ash (Hi Ash!!) again and met Corey too, very cool guy. Gnar was all ready to roll and he did a most expert job. It was fast and efficient and he was very friendly and professional. The guy really knows what he is doing. I even accidentally bumped the light with my leg and caused it to smash into his forehead, and it didn't even faze him!! Sorry for that again, Gnar! All in all, I am incredibly happy that I discovered this magical place and had my tattoo done here. I will be back for more and will highly recommend Black Raven to anyone asking me where they should get some ink. Thanks again all! See you as soon as this thing heals! Had the privilege to get pierced by John, he's amazing!!! I've been pierced before but struggle with anxiety so Its difficult for me to be in a new environment, I made sure to call ahead and let him know. I went in to get my nose pierced, and I was nervous with a little anxiety, but John, the gentleman who pierced my nose, was very patient with me, was very empathetic. New exactly how to calm me down New exactly what to do explain the whole process to me in detail, so I would understand what exactly was happening and at what time. I felt so comfortable with him that it didn't even hurt. I am going to go back and get my ears pierced several more times because I have never had anyone so patient so i trust him and Im in good hands he is exceptional and extremely talented at what he does! read more

While the service provided by Danny when getting the piercing done over a month ago was great. Our downsizing follow up experience was disappointing. Long story short the manger changed our appt with Danny for downsizing because I made the wrong appt. Same price just wrong appt title. I made said appt. for a piercing rather than a downsizing BUT THERE IS NO downsize appt tab available online AND when I called to ask about it more than once NO ONE answered. I did what I thought was the next best thing considering it was the same price. my son was forced to be helped by someone I had no reference of. Had not done my search on him or even knew his name. This person downsized my son's piercing wrong. A few days later the piercing fell off my son's ear, making us panic. Turns out The person didn't tighten it enough. I made his apot.. With a person in mind for Stephanie to just change it and decide who will be helping him. That was not ok. And now we are dealing with a. Loose earring because I'm afraid to touch it and we haven't had an opportunity to go and get it tighten. Managers name Stephanie.

It is a counter that is located on the first floor behind the escalator where you can see Din Tai Fung on the second floor. The person working at the time was called Janna. She greeted us right away and showed us the selection of earrings strictly used for piercing. I decided to go with my birthstone. Janna had me sit in the chair located on the right side of their display of jewelry. She carefully marked where the earrings would go and then made sure that I was satisfied with the placement. Before I knew it, the procedure was done. The pain was tolerable and it didn't linger like I thought it would. After she finished working on my sister, Janna took the time to explain the after-care. We were given hypochlorous acid spray to use twice a day for 4 weeks. She showed us how to properly clean the area and emphasized the importance of doing this to prevent an infection. Overall, I would recommend this place. I am already looking forward to getting another piercing done. My sister and I had a great experience. Thank you, Janna, for doing an awesome job!

Joslyn was extremely professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time during the piercing process by double checking that it didn't hurt. I had to purchase one of their steel titanium jewelry ($15 was the cheapest one) and was not allowed to use my own jewelry that I bought from Laughing Buddha. Which is totally understandable and makes sense as to why they don't use other jewelry outside of their own. I think it also specifies in their rules or contract that you're not allowed to bring in outside jewelry, but I would call to make sure. I also did not like that they didn't have a more comfortable waiting/seating area. Those tiny chairs on wheels are not really plus-sized friendly and I would have appreciated a regular chair instead of those. The online booking experience for an appointment within 3 days was easy to use on their website. I believe there was a $5 security deposit that goes into your overall total at the end of your piercing/tattoo session. In fact, my piercer Joslyn even emailed me to ask questions about my piercing history and whatnot. I really appreciated her attentiveness to detail and for taking the initiative to understand her customer's needs. Overall, I had a pleasant experience with my piercer Joslyn and would highly recommend her for your piercing needs. Thanks again!!

He also made sure I was completely happy before starting. We are both really happy with how it turned out. The service includes everything you need: the piercing itself, numbing, aftercare instructions, cleaning wipes, extra earring backings, and even a follow-up visit, which I think is incredibly helpful. You can also upgrade the earrings depending on what style you choose. If you are looking for peace of mind and quality care, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I only had the jewelry out for two hours, max. The piercer told me that my nipples have never healed correctly because of how they were pierced. The placement was far too close to the base, which I've suspected all along since the right piercing had never stopped giving me issues. (Left one was the one that had closed up and had to be tapered open, interestingly enough.) The tattoo from a past-his-prime artist is one thing, it's just a funny story now. I kinda find the tattoo endearing, even. But a misplaced piercing on a super intimate area? From a female piercer as well who should have known her anatomy better? I don't live in the area anymore, so there's no point in me making the trek to come into your shop to get anything fixed. I'm just updating my review to communicate how upset I am that BOTH the services I got done at your shop got butchered. And it's literally caused me unnecessary pain and suffering. I now have to consider removing my nipple piercings and getting them redone correctly, if I ever want the issues I've had from them to go away. I've also been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and many other medical conditions since I got this piercing 5 years ago, so getting them redone or getting any tattoos or piercings at all isn't something I consider lightly- the pain and healing is different for me. That's all. Coming back to "chime in" because ya'll did me worse than I'd even previously realized.

His work was impeccable and he worked with me on placement and lining until I was satisfied as I had it on the side of my wrist and the tattoo lining looks different as I twist my wrist. He was patient and didn't mind taking it off and on to make sure I was happy. And I was definitely happy with the end results. He has a really light touch and didn't feel his whole weight on me while tattooing and just an all around pleasant guy. He also remembered me from a few years ago when I brought the business a case of beer at the end of the night, thanking them for their hard work and willingness to still take us. They are definitely sweet people. I asked about touch ups and things of that sort, he told me he doesn't like to do them but sometimes he will. lol I'm definitely trying to get him to work on some of my stuff cos I really like what he is capable of. My sister and my best friend loved what they got as well. The person assigned to assist me (I don't recall names/faces well) put the new segment/seemless/clicker ring in the lower lobe/1st instead of the upper/2nd lobe spot. I don't now how they missed the 2nd lobe because I had a light blue plastic place holder in the 2nd lobe so it wouldn't close up, we talked about it to confirm which one it was, and they saw me take the blue plastic out. Yes, I should have asked for a mirror once they finished to confirm they did it correctly but I trusted they knew what they were doing. I didn't notice, my friend pointed it out a bit after I left the shop, my friend moved it into the correct spot for me. Customer service was normal when I first went in but I didn't feel like driving back, finding parking, and blah blah blah over this. Think this was the breakdown, they didn't provide a receipt and I paid cash. Cost was $30 for the sterilized segment ring, $5 for the service, and I gave a $5 tip.

So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I have had four tattoos done at Black Raven, three of them with Jaz. A couple of months ago, I contacted her to commission a custom tattoo. I warned her that I don't know much about tattooing and don't have a good artistic vocabulary. She patiently discussed what I was looking for and helped me refine my idea of what I wanted. She worked up a completely custom design from my descriptions and refined the design with each new step. When we were done and I had the time, we set up the actual appointment and she applied my beautiful Harpy over a marathon all-day session. She was chill, engaging, professional, and a complete delight to work with at *EVERY* stage of the process. So was every one else at Black Raven. I would trust any artist there to work on any part of me; they're all exceptional. The shop has an amazing aesthetic and is well cared for. I had another amazing experience at Black Raven yesterday! I'd come in the day before as a walk-in. I was hoping that Gnar would be there. Lucky for me, he was! He noticed the tattoo he'd done for my dad right away... which still looks amazing a year later. I showed him the idea I was messing with, and he said he had an appointment later but would work on it. He set me up with an appointment for the following day at 11:30 am. I came in the next day, and Gnar showed me a couple of options he'd done. I ended up opting for a slightly larger version with more detail. I'm so happy I did! Just a really great experience. I went to get my first tattoo done, and the staff was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Amanda at the front desk was super friendly and immediately made me feel welcome. Kayo was my artist, and after talking about what I wanted and showing a few reference pics he created a design that I fell in love with. I've been wanting this tattoo for years and I could not be happier with the result, it was better than I had imagined. Kayo also put in the extra effort and time to make sure that my tattoo flowed well with the shape of my body, which was my number one concern given that it was such a large piece. She has an artistic eye and transforms my "visions" into amazing artwork on my body. My daughter had wanted a tattoo and making her wait until she was 18 wasn't easy! The first time I called they worked with me in coming up with my design and recommended someone that would be a best fit for me. My husband and I went in for matching tattoos and the crew at Black Raven gave us a great experience from the first phone call to the aftercare explanation. You can tell the tattoo artists and body piercer all have a ton of experience - they make you feel comfortable and are good at answering all my questions. She's a great artist and it was a great experience. When I had questions during the healing process, they got right back to me, which I appreciate. I definitely recommend this shop! read more

Tiffany has done 3 large pieces on me each exceeding my expectations. She's an amazing talent and can take the most simplistic idea and turn it into something amazing. Favorite tattoo shop!!! Everyone of the artists there, are Amazing in their own rites!! TIFFANY is my girl, in a lil over a years time she has worked on a back cover up and she has pretty much completed a whole sleeve. Extremely professional and detailed work, LOVE it!! I have been visiting this tattoo shop since 2021 and they do NOT disappoint. Prices are reasonable and quality is amazing. I have gotten tattooed by Kayo, Hannah, and the owner Tiffany and all their pieces on me are amazing. I know the other artists are also great at what they do. Just had my 4th tattoo done by Gnar and couldn't be happier!!! He also retouched an old tattoo and it looks amazing! Better than I could have imagined! I appreciate Gnar's creativity, attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work as an artist. Highly recommended! read more
