FH3. Fried Fish Topped with Garlic Pepper Sauce

I would like to say this restaurant is the heart of Utica. I really love all of the dishes we ordered . Sweet & Sour Chicken curry is so yummy. Seafood salad was so fresh . I like the dressing they used for salad. My favorite dish from the entire meal was the Fried Fish topped with Garlic pepper sauce . The fish was crunchy and the texture was perfect. I am very choosy when it comes to fish but this one became my instant favorite . Pad Kra Pal is out of this world. My husband loves Tom Yum Soup & Fish the most. Their Tom Yum soup beats all other tom yum soups from NYC Thai restaurants. My daughter loves fried chicken on pepper sauce. They are only open for take outs .But it was convenient for me because during Covid time , I tried my best not to eat at resturtant. The next day , I took another order before we left from Utica. I took Thai Fried Rice which is the best fried rice I ever had. And pad thai is really good. California roll plus was also delicious. I took them for my uncle& aunty and they love them all. My aunty barely compliments but these dishes from Black Rice , she said " Oh so yummy " . Me & my family are so lucky that we found this place on our trip . I just wish Black Rice opens in NYC so we can visit more often.

I am currently sitting here eating my second ever dish from this restaurant. I have to say, this place is fantastic. I've Now tried two staples you would typically find at a Thai or Asian fusion restaurant just about anywhere. First was the Pad Thai and second is currently the Drunken Noodle. Holy flavor! I didn't know these dishes could be so robust and have a satisfying spiciness that singes the tongue but makes you want to come back for more after every bite. They better stay is all I have to say!

Best authentic Thai food in the area! We've been looking for authentic Tom yum soup for years and finally found it! We've eaten here several times and tried most of the menu and it's all been great so far. The papaya salad and Thai beef salad are also amazing!

We ate here tonight and the service was kind and the food was quick. The interior is sparse but clean. We had fried calamari and papaya salad for appetizers which were delicious and both of our entrees were good too!

The food is phenomenal food and the staff is as well. Prices are reasonable and potions are large enough for meals.

Dawn Light is an incredible gem. After much online search, my husband discovered this Burmese-run…read morerestaurant through its Facebook page and took the family there for lunch. What a treat! This was one of the best meals I've ever had in Utica. Although the menu is pan-Asian, with Indian, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Burmese cuisine featured, we ordered five Burmese items: the tea leaf salad, coconut noodle, fish noodle soup, Burmese milk tea, and a coconut milk-based sticky rice dessert. Everything was terrific and authentic. The tea leaf salad was actually quite spicy, but wonderfully pungent and intense yet textured with the crunchy peanuts. I also loved the mohinga--this, too, was a slightly spicier version than what I've had in the past. However, I loved how flavorful it was. Milder in flavor was the coconut noodle soup, which our toddlers liked more. The milk tea was sweet and strong--a great accompaniment to our savory and spicy meal. To end our meal, we got a box of five pieces of sweet coconut milk sticky rice cake, which was chewy and very yummy! The food was all made fresh to order, affordably priced, and truly delicious. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean. It seemed like it was a bit of a hangout spot for Burmese in the community. Dawn Light is an absolute highlight in the Utica restaurant scene--I wish them longevity as I hope to return many times in the future!
