Stopped in for some lunch today and everything was excellent! We got a chicken wing slice, an upside down slice, a garlic knot, and a rice ball (my favorite part) with meat, cheese and peas. The service was excellent and they were super friendly! It's set up like a typical pizza shop with some booths to sit in, but it's clean and was decorated nicely for the holidays! The location in downtown Utica is super convenient and it's a great spot to stop in for a casual lunch. In my opinion, it's the best chicken wing pizza I've had around here. Prices are ridiculous. Their "large pizza" is the same size as a Little Caesar's $6 Hot N' Ready pizza. We had to pay extra for the toppings and to split the toppings, I've never had to before. We ended up paying over $50 for a "large" pizza, 20 wings and a 2 liter of soda...if their pizza was bigger we wouldn't care, but for the size of the pizza their food isn't worth the price. I stopped for pizza for a change iykyk. I really liked the vibe in this place. It had an old school pizza place look. I was greeted right away which is good. They have a good 2 slice and drink special. The slices are huge and definitely could feed 2 people. Sauce and cheese were good. The slices were a bit on the thicker side but no big flop. I have visited twice this year, as my father lives in the area. The pizza is decent (I live in NYC, so I may be biased). The garlic cheese curds are great. Super addictive. On my most recent visit I tried the chicken parm dinner. There was hardly any chicken and it looked like an entire box of spaghetti, which I wouldn't have minded, but it didn't taste very good. First time trying upside down pizza. Two guys that were leaving said you absolutely have to try it. It's the best. Such a unique flavor profile with the crispy mozzarella cheese underneath and the cool delicious pasta sauce on top. We also got a couple chicken, Parm dinners and a sausage and cheese pizza. Stopped by for dinner on a drive from Toronto to Boston. I was a little skeptical at first as we were the only customers on a Tuesday night at ~8pm. We had a medium pepperoni pizza, some wings, garlic knot and fried haddock dinner. I was worried about ordering fish in Utica on a Tuesday night, but the fish and chips was my favorite dish. Fish was super fresh - not even a little bit of fishiness. The crust was done perfectly - super crunchy. Everything was great. I'm going to start with the thing I really don't like: the online menu needs better descriptions and preferably photos. I want to know what's on the pizza I'm ordering! Other than that, everything was great. Easy to order online (although we just guessed what we wanted because again--no descriptions!) and the order was delivered in under an hour, which seems pretty fast for a Saturday night. We got a chicken bacon ranch and a jalapeño bacon.....something.....and both were reeeeeaaalllly tasty. But the best thing--spicy cheese curds! Oh my gosh, so good. I might order more tomorrow :D I'm not a local so I don't know how the prices compare to other places in the area, but I feel like we got quite large portions for our money. If I could rate 6 stars I would. This is a lovely Italian restaurant located in Chittenango, NY. The food is superb and the atmosphere is second to none. It is not a large esstalishment but it has an intimacy that the larger establishments are greatly lacking. The staff is lovely and very accomodating. New to the area and have gotten take out here several times already...specifically the chicken riggies! I like their pizza too. Tried Utica greens for the first time and they were good...a little salty but good. Wings are also bomb - get them extra crispy. The wings do not come with dipping sauce as it needs to be purchased on the side which is a little disappointing but I guess I understand. My fiancé and I randomly stumbled upon this place after a very un-filling dinner one night not realizing this wasn't just any ordinary pizza place. Johnny's Pizza is *the* place for Utica's famous Chicken Riggies--a delicious combo of rigatoni, chicken and hot peppers in a spicy cream and tomato sauce. We hadn't heard of it before that night and upon learning that, the guy behind the counter immediately told us he had to help us remedy that and welcome us properly to his hometown with a big helping of their star dish. And let me tell you, we will be forgetting that dish ever. It was honestly even better than I thought it would be after it was described to us. The chicken was juicy and tender and when eaten with that pasta covered in the deliciously spicy cream and tomato sauce? *chefs kiss* The fact that I know Utica is about a 4 hour long drive from NYC and I'm STILL contemplating having my fiancé drive us up just so we can get some Chicken Riggies pretty much shows just how good it is. read more

I just had a steak and cheese sub from here and LET ME TELL YOU! Best steak and cheese in the area and I'm not kidding. The bread was unlike anything I've ever had before, the steak was seasoned well, it wasn't oily and sloppy. Literally FLAWLESS. The customer service here has been top tier the few times I've been here and they have good prices compared to the competition. It doesn't stop at the subs either. Friday is pizza pizza pizza day, I ended up ordering pizza thru the slice app. The slice app is a quick and easy way to order pizza. I ordered the jumbo 26' plain pizza. Talk about jumbo size, one slice is more than enough. The pizza was a NY-style pizza. It had a balance of sauce and cheese. Since it's a large slice, it had the pizza "flop." The taste was good, the sauce had a sweet taste with a tang to it. However, the crust was very doughy but the sauce and cheese made up for the doughiness. It's a 7.5/10 for the pizza. read more

This was my first experience here during the pandemic. It's easy access off the interstate on the main drag and they nostalgically have music pumping out onto the street to invite you in. It was clean and easy access to restrooms but obviously no seating during this time. you can go in they have single slices in deals two large pieces and a fountain drink for $5. Utica is known for the pizza crust and I enjoyed a thin crispy crust. The day I visited they were backed up with whole pie orders so grabbing slices was the easy answer. Staff were polite and engaging. They had at least four choices of slices while I was there. They also offered sandwiches and desserts check out their website for a full menu.My only criticism is that the fountain drinks the mix was off.
