A friend/coworker mentioned this place and I had been intending to try it for a while. On this day I was in need of iced coffee as it was crazy hot outside. It's an interesting spot. The service was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They were helpful in helping build me a sugar free iced coffee. It was so hot outside the ice melted rapidly while I ran errands so it got a bit watered down but I found it enjoyable up to that point. That's in me and not on them. Hubby wanted to stop by to get some coffee and we had never been to a black rifle and was in the area so stopped by. Cool place with a little shopping area. I had to use the restroom and sadly it was dirty and the place wasn't busy but not a deal breaker. The people there didn't greet us or address us at all until we got to the counter and there the young lady was very monotone and didn't seem to really want to be there. It just wasn't inviting but the drinks we got were good! No complaint there. Maybe next time we just do the drive thru. read more

The most average matcha latte you will find. Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here. I wasn't expecting much from Black Rifle Coffee from all the word-of-mouth opinions I've heard, and I'm glad I wasn't. I went through the drive through and placed my order with a barista by the name 'Sexy,' and it was very clear 'Sexy' did not want to be there nor did she care. Since my expectations were low, I ordered two simple Matcha Lattes, one hot, one iced, and was genuinely upset as an ex-barista with what I had received. I don't know how they managed to make such a flavorful tea so dull and so flat, but they did it. I cannot say that they were bad drinks, but they were some of the biggest tea disappointments of my life. I made the mistake of ordering larges and felt the need to drink what I had purchased since I don't like to waste drinks. I was hoping to at least feel energized after drinking it, but there was no energy boost to be found, only growing disappointment. I cannot recommend Black Rifle Coffee as what I drank was the textbook definition of 'mid,' but I will be fair and give it three stars because it wasn't 'bad.' read more

This visit, my coffee had rotten half-n-half. I asked my husband to taste it, and he said it was the worst coffee he's tried. When I poured it out, it smelled like rotten milk. We have visited this location several times. I usually order an Americano but receive a stale batch brew instead (the 281 location is usually spot on). My husband likes going cause it's closet to home and his cold brew is fine. I wrote to BRCC customer service, and they said I needed to tell the store not them. The coffee is a bit overpriced for what you get. Also the last time I came here the person at the drive through asked for a tip verbally and I thought that was awkward (Asked if I would like to leave 18%, 25%) I havent been back since. Wow!! There have been so many coffee places popping in San Antonio that I just have now been able to try Black Rifle Coffee, crazy! The service is what stuck out to me the most 100%!!! The young man who helped us out was so polite, accommodating and really knew the products he was selling. We asked for a drink that was comparable to what we normally order from our favorite spot. He did a great job explaining what they offered that was similar to our drink and we were not disappointed at all!! Matter of fact, we liked BRCC better The coffee was amazingly smooth with almost no bitterness that I was used too getting. It was also not overly sweet like many places that flavor their drinks. I came to the grand opening of this Black Rifle Coffee Company today on January 14, 2023. So when you look at the pictures, just realize that some of the things are a little bit different then the normal daily operations. For example, I don't think they're always going to have an inflatable rooster!! I just shared it because I thought it was adorable, LoL. Today is probably a little busier than normal days. Even though they were busy today, they were still very friendly and they still offered very good customer service. I ordered the Beyond Black (Dark Roast) coffee and a double Barreled Kolache. ( A Kolache with two sausages in it). Both tasted exceptional. I love black rifle because they support veterans, and they also support the police, & Fire Departments. There is a 10% discount if you're a veteran, police, or fire department. This location is very clean, it is in a very nice area it is located next to Olive Garden, Twin Peaks & IKEA. It is right off of interstate 35. This location has plenty of parking & it has a drive-through. They do have a many other drinks besides black coffee, that's just what I prefer. They have nice furniture in the store and they have a nice patio outside, today I'm sitting out on the patio enjoying the nice weather. It has a very nice ambience, inside and out. We came at 6 pm when they close at 8pm and they had already put away food and unavailable to order and had put all the chairs on the tables. By 6:30 they were mopping. When asked if they were closing early they said no they were open till 8. At 7:30 when another friend arrived they told us they would not be able to make any blended drinks. We come once a month with a group of 8 or more woman and we all order food and drinks. This was very unwelcoming and unprotected. And our cups were leaking to top it off (probably not their fault) the rest was terrible. read more
