This review is for the drive-through experience at this location of Summer Moon. My only issue was initially, I turned into a parking lot instead of the correct lane to go through the drive-through so be careful with that. Once I was able to order, the staff were very friendly and the cold brew with the moon milk I got really hit the spot. I think I might've gone inside this location when it very first opened, but that was at least a couple years ago. The drive-through experience was pleasant and straightforward. There is a handful of seating both inside and outside of the coffee shop. This location is well staff but on the slow side. Such a cute little shop! Has such a relaxing ambiance with a chill vibey decor. I love that they had a bunch of different shirts for sale that represent the cafe, and they were all super super cute. I got the Matcha Moon Latte, which was okay, it wasn't my favorite but I do love that they were trying to do something different with the "moon milk" while also having the option for a regular matcha latte. I just do not like the payment interaction, they say they have a few more questions at check out but it's ONE question - a tip question. This Summer Moon location is super cute and cozy! Lots of counter space to work and a couple of comfy areas to lounge and chat. There are also a couple of tables outside to sit and there's a drive thru for on-the-go. The Blue Moon latte was recommended for me, as I don't like super sweet drinks. It has lavender in it and is delicious! Although it's still a bit sweet for my tastes. The barista was patient as I looked at the menu and recommended this drink. Service was great! Amazing service and coffee! The half winter moon is just right on sweetness for me. They have an interesting way of doing things. Depending on how much sugar you like will decide what type of moon you will order. Also, If cold it will be a winter moon and if warm it will be a summer moon.Very creative! I once attended a get together to see their process of the nitro-coldbrew and a lot of care, fancy machinery and science goes into it. That's why it tastes like perfection and keeps you going all day. This location is a bit on the smaller side, but very welcoming with couches and loungers or a bar by the window seat for those wanting to be left alone. Summer Moon runs circles around every other coffee shop in town! From service, to quality, to pricing, to ambiance, to everything! I first tried them at the St. Mary's location and I am "over the moon" that they are now in Stone Oak. I might have a slight addiction to the Blue Moon, Golden Moon, and now Autumn Moon. Let me first talk about the service. I called them at 7:45 asking if I could place an order over the phone to pick up, they said they don't allow that but would make sure to take me order when I arrived. I got in the drive through right at 7:52 and went to pay with a gift card that I was just given. Well, little did I know the gift card took an hour to be active so it didn't go through. Before I could even give them my credit card they told me my drinks were on them! They wouldn't even take the card!! WOW!!! I was so amazed, they didn't make me feel like a bum for the gift card not working. And the drinks were perfect! The Blue Moon is a lavender latte and I get mine with almond milk, and I add extra lavender when I'm feeling frisky. The Golden Moon is a tumeric latte that has a nice spicy kick, frothy moon milk, and perfectly creamy, I can't wait to drink it when it's cold outside. The Autumn Moon is an earthy latte that trumps a pumpkin spice latte any day (BUT if they come out with one I'm sure it will be amazing.) I have nothing bad to say. Great coffee. Their Moon Milk is what makes them different from other coffee places. I think it's pretty sweet but you can get yours less sweet. Beautiful building with a mural on the side where the drive thru is. Interior of the building is stunning. They have pretty good cookies and their cookies change seasonally. The almond cookie is usually available in the fall. I tried the gluten free cookie and it's nothing to write home about. The staff who work there are nice and the service is great. I'm not usually a coffee person and it has the perfect amount of sweetness without being too strong. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so I always opt for matcha. I've tried the regular iced matcha here, and also their moon matcha which is made with their sweet cream I believe! It's sweet, but not overly sweet that it hurts your stomach haha. I hate super sweet drinks and this one was drinkable! I was very excited to see Summer Moon expanding to the Stone Area after having tried it in Buda, TX. Their coffee drinks are creative and delicious! They are on the sweeter side. This may be due to their special cream. If you are not a fan of sweet just ask them to reduce. Or do what I do ...drink half and mix the other half with regular coffee at home. I do wish they were in a more convenient location as I rarely have reason to visit this strip center off of 281. But perhaps now I'll have a reason to visit more often.
