Today I ordered a drink with "half flavor" because some of the drinks are on the sweeter side for me... unfortunately I ended up not liking it as much! I asked the barista if she could just add the other half (thinking it was syrup pumps), but she insisted on remaking it and said it wouldn't taste the same because that particular drink used powder instead of syrup. I felt terrible about wasting the first drink since it was due to my own bad judgement, but she ensured me it was fine and clearly just wanted me to be happy with my drink. A Black Rock opened by my house little over two years ago, (it is now called Royal Coffee), and I have been going ever since. The one by my house would give me free drinks whenever the line was too long or there was a staff error. I am writing this review today for the Power location because of my server today. I had gone to try another coffee shop today to try something new because I am a regular at Black Rock and the coffee I got from this other place was not good. It was 90% milk and syrup and 10% coffee. So, I went to Black Rock because I wanted an actual coffee. The girl at the window was very friendly and super nice. (The other servers at the window also waved to me because they know I come here a lot.) We were talking about coffee and I told her about what happened with my other coffee and she agreed with me that it was not a good coffee. In addition to this she comped the coffee I ordered because even though it was not "Black Rock's fault" she wanted me to know that they cared and put the effort in to make my coffee correct. I have been having a terrible week so far, and this at least brightened my day. So to that server (if you ever read these): Thank you! (heart) I normally do not write reviews but this one is long overdue. I have also had issues with my app and the staff at this location is always helpful. I will be sad if I ever get a job somewhere that does not have Black Rock Coffee Bar. read more

I absolutely love this coffee shop! I've been coming here for about a year with my family and I have yet to find a coffee place I love more than Black Rock. The people are always very friendly and happy to be there! Service is normally very quick and efficient, and of course the coffee is also delicious. I highly recommend the caramel blondie! I sometimes get it with half the flavoring and it is still so amazing. It's great hot, iced, or blended! I also absolutely love their energy drink, fuel. I often order a "Surprise fuel" and the baristas will make you randomized flavor combinations for your fuel. Highly recommend trying it out. In short, I just can't get enough of the amazing people, quality, and atmosphere! read more

Might've found my new coffee spot!! A friend had recommended this place to me and I gave it a shot today. Tried the Mexican Mocha and I was in love!! Looking forward to trying the other things on the menu. And for the price is unbeatable. Loved the ambiance but the only thing is they should add more seats since I think the place is gonna be packed (popularity). Also maybe lower down the music a bit for the peeps who are trying to get some work done but other than that it was a great visit!! I love love LOVE BR coffee! They have a simple menu and serve great tasting coffee. I've only had an iced americano and Nitro cold brew while visiting AZ and both were delicious! The staff at the Gilbert location seem genuinely friendly, not overly fake like at those other coffee places. I wish we had BR closer to home. read more

I love that there is a great range in drink choices for your caffeine addict as well as the beginner's introduction with sweeter options. We love Black Rock! The coffee is great, the workers have always been friendly and quick, and, although we usually go through the drive through, the few times we've gone inside it's been very clean. Good coffee but the drive thru line is always so long BECAUSE THEY TURN THE BOX OFF. In what world does it make sense to have everyone pull up to the window and order at a drive thru?? I will never be going back. They lose so much business from that line, I've seen people just look at the long line and leave the parking lot. Not worth the wait for Starbucks price drinks when I can go to Starbucks and be in and out in the time I move one car in this line.
