Unless you're hosting an event, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE…read more I understand that this course is a budget option. I don't expect the best course, the best service, the best food, etc. BUT I do expect to play a full round of golf when I book a tee-time a week in advance, show up on time, play quickly, and do my best to be a good customer. I live less than 10 minutes away from this course. I've played here 6 times over the last two months and been to their driving range 4-5 times a week over that same period. It's relatively cheap and I don't expect a lot for the money I've dropped here, but in fairness I have spent a lot here in a relatively short period of time. That said, you couldn't PAY ME to play here again. Two friends and I booked an outing at 9:50AM on Friday. It turned out that Bliss Creek was running a tournament later that afternoon, so we tried to be as accommodating as possible. We decided to scramble to keep things quick. We would have finished even faster, but had to wait for other players. This wasn't a big deal to us as we were having a good time and always assume there's going to be some waiting on a public course where they always book people right on top of each other. We played as fast as we could (9 holes in less than two hours, with a short bathroom / food break before tackling the back 9). After our break, we started the back nine. There was a group waiting there, but they said that we should play through because they were waiting on the rest of their party getting drinks and food. We thanked them and then proceeded to wait on a group of teenagers that was playing in front of them. The teens took a while to play, but again, totally understandable. As we started to play our second shot for the hole, we were informed by one of the staff that we were "in the way" of a tournament and that we would need to skip the next 4 holes in our 18 and that we would be "allowed" to play the first 4 holes again to make up for the holes we had to skip. This didn't make a lot of sense to us as we had just been told to play through by the previous group. The not so subtle message was that WE were doing something wrong from the clubs perspective. No apology was offered for booking us on top of the tournament and no attempt was made to make things right for us. I totally understand that mistakes happen, but this mistake was not ours. Once we made our way to the front 9 to finish our round of 18 by doing the first four holes over again, we were again informed by another individual that we were in the way and we would need to let people play through. Also, we needed to "hurry up" and get through our next 4 holes as fast as possible. Again, the same message that we did something wrong and that we were in the way. Again, no apology was offered, and no attempt was made to make things right. I want to be clear. We were playing very fast for a threesome. I regularly shoot just above 100 and the other two people were scrambling behind me and sometimes skipping shots altogether. I doubt many threesomes would make better time. We weren't drinking or being a nuisance. We were respectful of other players, the course, and the game. We were dressed nicely, spending money, and tipping everyone we interacted with; from the person serving food to the person driving the concessions cart. For most businesses, we are the ideal customers. We spend, we're understanding, and we rarely complain. However, it's obvious that we are not wanted at Bliss Creek, so we are looking for a new golf course to call home.

I have played this course multiple times when visiting family and have zero complaints. Rounds…read morefinished in 4 hours regardless of the time. Driving range has option to hit off mat or grass and the restaurant is a nice place to grab a bite afterwards. I will continue to play this course any time I am in town.

Course was in very good shape. New GPS range finders on the carts, except ours did not work…read more Restaurant staffers excellent/friendly as usual. Course employees courteous, Grounds keepers paused to let golfers play thru, Have to complain about not being able to cancel when it's cart path only, , We're a group of seniors, and some of us cannot play cart path only, We understand that rain happens, and it's important to protect the course, but it was a surprise when Hughes Creek said credit cards would be charged for our guys that could not play, This is the first time we've encountered a course policy where golfers cannot cancel when carts are restricted , If that is going to be the case, I cannot recommend playing here if you need carts,

I don't think they're puting any money into it. The sand traps are like hitting out of concrete. Its really disappointing . Its been eight years since I've played here, and this is nothing like the way I remember it used to be. You're charging 52 bucks a round during the week and, they should be spending more money into doing maintenance at this place. Lots of patches, and various holes, where there's bald spots and ground under repair, that needs to be fixed.. Putting greens could be better. Layout is nice but always was. Just need to " Feed your Lawn!" Along with fixing the traps ... and upgrade your golf carts. Clearly they are on their last legs. Very slow.

Separate chipping and putting greens allow for complete pre-round routine. Service in the bar area at the turn was friendly and efficient. Our charity golf outing at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course was one of the most disappointing…read moreexperiences we've had. We brought 90 golfers on a Thursday morning, generating approximately $5,400 in greens fees alone, not to mention additional food and beverage purchases throughout the day. Despite supporting the course with a large charity event, management chose to confiscate two entire coolers of sandwiches that had been donated to feed both our golfers and our volunteers. These weren't meals being sold to the public. They were donated food intended to support the people participating in and helping make this charity event a success. Rather than showing even a little understanding or appreciation, management was rude, unreasonable, and more concerned about protecting their food sales than supporting a charitable cause. The way we were treated was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. A little common sense and customer service would have gone a long way. Needless to say, our organization will not be returning, and neither will many of the golfers who participated in this event. There are plenty of golf courses that understand the value of community partnerships and know how to treat customers with respect. Unfortunately, Blackberry Oaks is not one of them.
