I can't believe this was my first time at the lodge! I had been wanting to go for years and never had a chance. I was not disappointed at all. We sat outside on the patio with our dog. There's decent outdoor seating in addition to the interior bar/restaurant. Our service was attentive, and the food came out fast & good. I had the Chicago dog with fries and had leftovers! I was so full, gang. I've had said dog in Chicago MANY, MANY times and I can tell you Black Sheep does a decent job. My boyfriend got a cheeseburger and tater tots. That burger was HUGE! I had a little bite and had to smash it down with my hands to fit it in my mouth. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Not dried out as some larger burgers can get. He also had the seasonal spike hot cocoa-had a sip and yeah, it was spiked. We shared a spicy Bloody Mary ($4 Bloodies and Mimosas every Sunday) & it had a kick of spice and tang without being overbearing. My only complaint is they don't use Heinz Ketchup. #iykyk

Above average spot for a burger and a beer if that's what you're looking for. Really liked the sports dive bar feel and they got a lot of room outside if the inside gets too crowded. Definitely a good spot to watch a game, if you need one as they have plenty of TVs. Parking can be a lil tricky as there aren't very many spots though.

Skimpy on the fries, yes this was all of the fries we received on our to go order tonight, they strict on their rules from parking to what you bring in from next door. I asked for extra mayo, extra mustard and got neither not even the average amount all together request ignored. Oh well, it was our first visit in years and now definitely our last.

What a great divey sports bar! Me and my friend came here to watch the KU game after I had read online somewhere that this is the KU bar of Austin. I don't know if it's still "the KU bar" but they did have the game up on a few of the TVs. This place looks unexpecting from the outside but we were really impressed by the indoor and outdoor seating, food, and drink prices. Service was solid and I would definitely come back here to watch a game again!

This place really exceeded my expectations! Such a fun interior, pool tables, darts, shuffle board, beer on tap. Wasn't sure what to expect from the food, but the burgers were great and even better fried pickles. Can't wait to come back as a good "grub" burger spot in the neighborhood. Interior could use just a ~little~ tlc (some ripped up chairs, etc) but wouldn't keep me from coming back.

Ive been here a couple of times for food and/or drinks. The first time went it was because I read in an article that the chicken wings were really good! I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS! The wings really very delicious, I did ask for them well done so they were crispy. The second time I went I ordered a burger, fried pickles and jalapeños, and the wings again (The wings unfortunately weren't as crispy as they were the first time but they were still good) The burger was delicious and the Fried Pickles/Fried Jalapeños did not disappoint. I would visit Black Sheep Lodge again. I really like that they host events throughout the year they have a nice covered outdoor seating area and there is also seating inside.

My buddy Cory & I came here yesterday to watch some of the college football games, and had a great time again. They had a lot of TVs so it was easy to watch several of the games at once. We also ordered food, which was alright. My fiancé joined us a little bit later on and she got the vanilla ice cream & brownie, which was very delicious! Overall, we had a fun time and will be back for sure. Oh and a shoutout to our waitress Christian & waiter Darrell, both of whom were awesome!

I always wanted to check out the Black Sheep Lodge and took my wife there for a surprise lunch. First thing I noticed was limited parking where I drive behind this place to see signs saying I could park there. You have to walk back around where to back door was for employees only. They had outdoor seating but was a bit hot so we ventured inside to find a pretty large sports bar. They had all sorts of games to play with a pool table in the back. This place had it. I loved the atmosphere of this place with cool artwork on the walls and the weathered look. I ordered a draft beer and the Bone- In Wings with Ranch Dry Rub. We had great service and soon our order arrived. The chicken wings looks very presentable and smelled great. They were delicious and among the best I had. I was extremely impressed. My wife had a burger and she also said was excellent. I guess from reading about this place they one of the best foodie hangouts in Austin.

We came by at lunch today and were pleasantly surprised with top tier service from our waiter, Hunter. Mid-week lunch can be a mixed bag when dining out, but we had prompt service from a happy/smiling employee, who was alert, attentive and friendly. He really made the difference in a regular visit and something that stands out. BSL is a great place to come catch the Astros game with the sound on. They have several areas you can go enjoy the game (even if they have a few dif ones on at the same time). Food was great (had the Buffalo chicken wrap). The only thing that could be better was if it was a tighter wrap. Had to handle carefully to keep it from spilling out, but flavor was on point! Finished up with a game of darts (shuffle board also available). Highly recommend for a good spot to meet friends, have drinks and/or food. Lots of space, big tables and plenty of TVs.

I'm very torn on Black Sheep Lodge. Ample space with a good outdoor area too and PLENTY of TVs. Service is just soooo hit or miss. It's like the service staff the majority hate talking to people or working As long as you're mentally prepared to feel like you're a bother to them it's fine. The food is decent bar food. Nothing to write home about. Definitely expected more from the chili and wings but again it's just bar food so they deliver on that. Overall: Go for the TVs, space and drinks

There's this huge building that looks like an unassuming co-working space, but it turns out that there is a whole fun world behind it! They have a great setup: there's a little playground, a paddle board court, corn hole, etc to keep kids entertained and they had a huge screen set up to watch the game. And tents! Thank you for having tents and misters! The ambience is spot-on. Overall, we were happy with everything that we ordered to eat. The buffalo cauliflower bites were a bit too saucy, but nice and smoky. The CM Chopped Salad--which was NOT chopped--had a ton of good veggies and a fun dressing. Our daughter managed to finagle two orders of chicken fingers and those were slightly better than the normal junk that comes out. Cold beers on tap, Aperol Spritzes on a hot day--what is there to complain about? We were glad to be leaving when we did because the place was starting to get slammed and rowdy and not as appealing, so be mindful of the partying witching hour. But for a late afternoon World Cup meet-up with friends, this was a good time. Four stars.

He was incredibly attentive, skilled, and even told us a little bit about the history of the place as a former boxing gym. For reasons that make no sense to any experienced summer festival-goer, the Q2 powers-that-be decided to make this a "no re-entry" event, meaning that attendees are basically locked in the stadium with very few options for relief from the heat. Thank heaven for PointsBet Sports Bar! PointsBet Austin is located inside of Q2 stadium on the north end near the Zebra Gate, up some stairs just to your right as you enter the gate. They have cold air-conditioning, at least one phone recharging station, a few table games, seating for at least 50 people, and standing room for a couple hundred others. Plus, there's a huge horseshoe bar serving plenty of canned and mixed beverages. The whole north wall is floor-to-ceiling windows, providing plenty of natural light. Lastly, there are 18 flatscreens around the walls showing various sporting events and during our concert, a couple were streaming a live view of the concert stage. As expected, prices were "high" (like everything else in Austin these days), but they were in line with pricing available at the other beverage stands outside in the stadium, so we didn't pay any more than we would have out there for the same drink. According to their website, PointsBet opens 3 hours before soccer matches on regular Q2 game days, and it's one of the few air-conditioned places where non-VIP attendees can get a break from the goings-on outside.

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. I ordered the Peach Fuzzy drink. Not too sweet, refreshing, peachy, and beautiful garnish of a flower. I ordered the Yummy Fries which looked like a salad. Gorgeous presentation. Fries were actually waffle sweet potatoes. Pickled ginger, sesame seeds, furikake, aïoli and a few other wonderful ingredients. Could not get over how beautiful everything looked.
