Came here with a group. They have quite a selection of cocktails as well as NA mocktails. Friends got the espresso martini and the frozen espresso shot. They enjoyed it. I got a NA margarita which was refreshing. The atmosphere is nice. They have TVs on the walls for sports. The servers were all very friendly. I went here twice in a week, once for dinner, once for brunch. The pizza (17) was really good. We ordered two, the meat lovers, and the chicken pesto. The crust is thin and the meat lovers could have used just a little bit more sauce but we loved both. The servers were kind and attentive but we were almost done with our meat lovers pizza by the time our pesto pizza arrived at the table. Timing could have been better. For brunch, we had two biscuit sandwiches, one bacon and egg and one chicken and honey. The biscuits (alone) were delicious. Nice and buttery and fluffy, the way I like them. Both sandwiches were fine but it on the smaller side. I'm not sure the bacon and egg was worth $10 even though it was tasty. Maybe 2 for $10 would be a better value. Darcy, our bartender was awesome and the highlight of both our visits was the brunch Velo cocktail which consisted of tequila, St Germaine, passion fruit, and lime juice. Well, the pizza was good; Decor was nice; Drinks were OK; Bartenders were below average; Went there for a gin tasting with Wild Gins; Enjoyed the talk by Wild Gins owner, Molly Cummings very much; What was disappointing was the event was not on Remedy's website. I discovered the event through Eventbrite and had to sign up to download "tickets" (which was unnecessary) to the free event. We almost did not go because we could not verify the event through Remedy's website. It seems beyond ridiculous to host an event and not list it under "events" on your website. The bartenders were slow and seemed incapable of making two different drinks at the same time. Bartender made my drink first instead of my wife which was odd. A second bartender was eating at the bar and serving drinks in between bites. I have never seen that before. Also annoying was the owner (who appeared unprepared for the event) hawking his $25.00 special to taste the gin (3 drinks normally $45.00) like he was doing us a big favor. You might want to give neat samples away for free! Be ready when you check out, they use the electronic "pre-fab tip" routine. Overall, we were disappointed in the place. read more

Wow, what a stunning bar. The outside is reminiscent of a beignet spot in NOLA while the inside is reminiscent of an upscale speakeasy or cigar lounge. The inside of the bar is decorated in rich leathers and masculine tones while the bathroom is decorated in Emerald green tile and has clean lines. I came here with my partner last Tuesday after a concert. This upscale bar has craft cocktails, local beers on tap, three frozen craft cocktails, and a full menu featuring burgers, pizzas, and even warm cookies! I ordered four cocktails during my time in the bar, which included two double Hendricks and tonics and two 512's and tonics. Both cocktails were made correctly and mixed well. During our time sitting in the leather chairs across from the bar with my partner enjoying our cocktails, the owner came to our table and offered us samples of warm cookies. First time at Remedy. I went for some food, not drinks. I had a supreme pizza (without the pepperoni), and it was very good. The crust wasn't real thin or thick, and I liked it because it wasn't too bready. I'll have to go back and try some other food items. read more

Nice cozy neighborhood bar. I came here for trivia night and it did not disappoint (other than the fact that my team went from first place to last place in the last round...I'll be back). We ordered the tater tots and they were delicioso, perfectly fried and a good portion. Something to note is that their kitchen is small so the wait for food does take a while so put in your orders early! I recommend coming on tuesday for trivia night or sunday they also host games i think. Its a very interactive and friendly bar. Excellent cocktails, including three "can't have just one" frozen specialties, plus a tasty food menu -- try the fried pickle spears -- from a kitchen open till midnight seven nights a week! This is a great spot to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy some drinks! We ordered pizza, fried pickles, and burger and fries. They were all fantastic and we were very impressed with the burger. The drink selection is great, with something for everyone, whether it's a craft cocktail or just a cold beer. What really sets this bar apart, though, is the staff. I ordered some nachos and fries during halftime of the Texas and Ohio State game. I got the (cold) fries at the end of the third quarter and they forgot about my nachos in the 4th. The place was barely half full. I love supporting local bars but the service is god awful and food was meh. Prices are good for Downtown Austin though. read more

The lead bartender, the guy who wears the hat, is constantly rude to the customers. I've spoken to 3 people who live in the neighborhood who concur with this observation. I would suggest ordering from someone else or simply go to another bar. I walked in, ordered a drink, my very first drink mind you, and was talking to a friend. I started laughing and this bartender comes over and says "you are cut off" and took my drink away. I found out he has done this to other folks that I know. Poor customer service. IF I could give zero stars I would. read more

I went to Remedy for the first time about a week ago. The bar is amazing. Great atmosphere, terrific staff, great drinks, and a great location. The owners are amazing and often onsite and engaged. I had one of the best Old Fashioned's that I have ever drank. If you are in Austin you cannot go wrong by heading to Remedy alone, on a date, or in a group. It will cure what ails you. read more

They had every kind of cheese you can imagine. The quality was so fresh. The spread was so beautiful and I kept going back for more. It truly was a delight to all the senses. Handsome Dans has a sign directing you to the back where they are located. The vibe is true to a bait shop/diner it's casual with a rustic feel, they have a large covered patio adjacent to Stargazer bar. I highly suggest sitting outside if possible because the inside does get a bit claustrophobic and smokey when it's packed and they are smashing paninis on the press with no proper kitchen overhead vents. The type of greasy smoke you get when you are making super buttery sandwiches on a hot press. The sandwiches are ok but not something I would go out of my way to have ,our kids liked the hotdogs and Frito pies which were also kind of "upper class" gas station quality. Most of the stuff here is food that probably tastes way better after drinking several beers. It's like any normal sandwich you could make at home and toss in a panini press to be honest. Really good beers on tap and friendly staff who seemed to disappear to the back quite a bit and came back confused. They didn't know if they had already given me my food because I was ordering and paying for extra food after more people in our party arrived. They literally saw my food I already had on the table from my previous order and thought they gave me double of what I ordered hahaha. I can't make a judgment because I have no clue what they kept dispersing to the back for but can just say the confusion was real, LOL. All together if I had to come back it be because someone I knew wanted to try it. Otherwise for me it's a one and done.
