Came here with a group. They have quite a selection of cocktails as well as NA mocktails. Friends got the espresso martini and the frozen espresso shot. They enjoyed it. I went here twice in a week, once for dinner, once for brunch. The pizza (17) was really good. We ordered two, the meat lovers, and the chicken pesto. The crust is thin and the meat lovers could have used just a little bit more sauce but we loved both. The servers were kind and attentive but we were almost done with our meat lovers pizza by the time our pesto pizza arrived at the table. Timing could have been better. For brunch, we had two biscuit sandwiches, one bacon and egg and one chicken and honey. The biscuits (alone) were delicious. Nice and buttery and fluffy, the way I like them. Both sandwiches were fine but it on the smaller side. I'm not sure the bacon and egg was worth $10 even though it was tasty. Maybe 2 for $10 would be a better value. Darcy, our bartender was awesome and the highlight of both our visits was the brunch Velo cocktail which consisted of tequila, St Germaine, passion fruit, and lime juice. Wow, what a stunning bar. The outside is reminiscent of a beignet spot in NOLA while the inside is reminiscent of an upscale speakeasy or cigar lounge. The inside of the bar is decorated in rich leathers and masculine tones while the bathroom is decorated in Emerald green tile and has clean lines. I came here with my partner last Tuesday after a concert. This upscale bar has craft cocktails, local beers on tap, three frozen craft cocktails, and a full menu featuring burgers, pizzas, and even warm cookies! I ordered four cocktails during my time in the bar, which included two double Hendricks and tonics and two 512's and tonics. Both cocktails were made correctly and mixed well. During our time sitting in the leather chairs across from the bar with my partner enjoying our cocktails, the owner came to our table and offered us samples of warm cookies. One of my absolute favorite spots in the city. I've been coming here both before and after the change of ownership and re-branding, and it truly feels like a neighborhood home now. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff treats everyone who walks through the door like family (as many of us live within a few blocks and practically consider this place as a neighborhood living room). It's the sort of place where the person that just walked into your living room is just a new friend you haven't met yet. It is rare to find a spot that balances a fun, lively atmosphere great food at a great price, and is perhaps the only place that I've ever seen a "no jerks" policy printed on a menu. Well, the pizza was good; Decor was nice; Drinks were OK; Bartenders were below average; Went there for a gin tasting with Wild Gins; Enjoyed the talk by Wild Gins owner, Molly Cummings very much; What was disappointing was the event was not on Remedy's website. I discovered the event through Eventbrite and had to sign up to download "tickets" (which was unnecessary) to the free event. We almost did not go because we could not verify the event through Remedy's website. It seems beyond ridiculous to host an event and not list it under "events" on your website. The bartenders were slow and seemed incapable of making two different drinks at the same time. Bartender made my drink first instead of my wife which was odd. A second bartender was eating at the bar and serving drinks in between bites. I have never seen that before. Also annoying was the owner (who appeared unprepared for the event) hawking his $25.00 special to taste the gin (3 drinks normally $45.00) like he was doing us a big favor. You might want to give neat samples away for free! Be ready when you check out, they use the electronic "pre-fab tip" routine. Overall, we were disappointed in the place. read more

I frequently host meetups at welcoming bars and restaurants. The venue owner of this establishment reached out to me to host a meetup to bring people to his venue. What I thought was a genuine interest to collaborate, turned out to be a bait and switch on trying to get me to do buyout. In every email correspondence on my meetup inquiries, there was repeated emphasis on what they "won't do" unless it's a buyout and constant references to buyout rules. It was toxic and extremely aggressive. Please keep in mind that I wasn't trying to do anything crazy.... I'm a simple meetup organizer, and I was simply trying to do a brunch meetup, a tech meetup, etc. Over time, I realized that this owner is too difficult to work with so I only stuck with organizing one meetup, an AI Art meetup which he said he would be up to showcase some AI artwork. For the meetup, we had a conformed agreement in place that we discussed in person and in emails several times. Even when we conformed to certain requests and made sure that one event was even small, he intentionally tried to make the execution of my meetup difficult (saying that he was going to play football during the one Austin AI ART meetup that we agreed on)..... Keep in mind, he was the one who said that day worked for them to host our meetup. I am not quite sure why he would have agreed to host our meetup if he wanted to play football for all the patrons...... It's like he intentionally plans to disrespect community organizers meetups, especially if they don't give into the pressuring for a buyout). Despite all of these challenges, I still tried to make things work with just one event, the Austin AI ART meetup of only 50 pp. 4 days before my event, I checked up on the owner and it seemed like he forgot the agreement we had in place, and tried pressuring me into a buyout again. When I provided proof of our original agreement, instead of acknowledging the oversight, he shifted the blame on me saying that I need to provide him with an event plan for my small "meetup", and then he became defensive when I told him that I felt he has pressured me into buyout several times and it has been emotionally damaging. Instead of being empathic or apologizing, he started threatening me and throwing personal insults guised with RACISM and CLASSISM! I immediately canceled my meetup telling him I refused to bring business to a venue owner like him. PREDATORY AND DISRESPECTFUL are the two words to describe this man. If you need to put a face on what type of neighbor bar this, just know that there are NO BLACK EMPLOYEES employed here. NONE! I am leaving this review to warn other community organizers and BIPOC people, and allies. read more

Nice cozy neighborhood bar. I came here for trivia night and it did not disappoint (other than the fact that my team went from first place to last place in the last round...I'll be back). We ordered the tater tots and they were delicioso, perfectly fried and a good portion. Something to note is that their kitchen is small so the wait for food does take a while so put in your orders early! I recommend coming on tuesday for trivia night or sunday they also host games i think. Its a very interactive and friendly bar. The lead bartender, the guy who wears the hat, is constantly rude to the customers. I've spoken to 3 people who live in the neighborhood who concur with this observation.
