    Dining and Bar.

Our dinner was delicious. Fresh tile fish, fresh oysters (lightly battered and fried perfectly), seared tuna steak MR. Homemade salad dressings. Salt rubbed baked potatoes, steaming hot. Appetizer of hush puppies and fried green tomatoes with spicy remoulade sauce was very good. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable and attentive. I had the Blackbeards Moito, delish. The restaurant seemed as if there were quite a few locals there. It's not fancy if that's what you are looking for, very old school. A little sprucing up would be nice but food is so delicious I would definitely eat here again next time I'm in the area. BTW, there is a large room in the back with lots more seating. We did call for a reservation for 5.

Went on a late Tuesday afternoon and it was super busy (we had a reservation). Since you are in pirate country it's not surprising that there is a well-done pirate theme. Plenty of seating and our server was great - really took care of us. Excellent local draft beer selection. The food is the star of the show here! We had the daily fresh fish special -s swordfish with collards and a yummy white sauce (outstanding!), Fried oysters and shrimp with sides of field peas and sweet potato casserole (excellent). We would definitely visit again!

Blackbeard's is a great local restaurant in Beaufort. We were hoping to sit outside, but it neighbors a fish market that does not smell pleasant, so we sat inside. The decor is great- different Blackbeards and pirates were scattered around the restaurant. We were sat immediately for a party of 5. The hostess and server were super! While we figured out what we were going to order, hush puppies were put on the table. They were yummy. We tried the crab and shrimp dip duo special. It was so good- and filling! Everything we ordered was great.

I've been to Beaufort several times and somehow missed this gem! It's going on my regular rotation now. My husband had seafood, and I had hamburger steak, and we were both very happy. The portions are big, and our server was sweet and attentive. The pirate decor was a little corny in the best, most fun way. I love they even had themed wallpaper in the bathroom.

We have been here a few times when passing thru. Love the local vibe and dinner specials. Service has always been excellent. This past weekend, I ordered the Seafood Bisque, which was to die for. Excellent! Very creamy and loaded with chunky meat. I ordered Stuffed Local Soft Shell Crab! I really love the creamy Ritz ground up cracker finish, super buttery. You really do not see Ritz crackers used much in the south, kind of a New England thing. My wife got the fish and chips, but swapped for a baked potato with a side of okra. Check out my pics, love this place!

I was so skeptical of this place because of the reviews y'all posted! My husband and I are visiting from Santa Barbara, Ca and thought we'd give this a try. I wanted soft shell crab and a local, down home ambiance with good cocktails and fresh seafood. First of all, the service was perfection. I even watched how the servers were interacting with other tables (because y'all were ripping on their service) and they were all stellar. Food, 9/10, service 10/10, ambiance 8/10 (it was early on a Thursday). Don't believe the other reviews, I feel like maybe they were from the dead of summer when this place was slammed?? There was a healthy crowd and we got some great local recommendations from our server. Soft shell stuffed crab was to DIE for. My husband got the stuffed flounder and it was cooked to perfection. These local spots that exceed expectations need to be celebrated!

We had an amazing dinner here! The menu is robust with many options to choose from. The service was quick and attentive. The seafood bisque is a must-have--super creamy with tons of lump seafood in it. Other tables had salads that looked huge and delicious, I'd like to try one next time! As my husband said, "this is the best food we've had at a restaurant down here!"

We love to start with bar bites or small plates to sample the menu. This allowed us to try the crabcake, calamari and the scallops & bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We shared a bottle of red wine and split the asparagus and steak cooked medium-rare. The steak was cooked to perfection! There is a standard fee of $3.00 to split a meal. The host greeted us with genuine enthusiasm and an ease that made it clear he knew exactly why we were there. His warmth felt celebratory without being performative, just right. Iesha guided us through the menu with confidence and care, highlighting a thoughtful anniversary tradition: a complimentary glass of champagne or crème brûlée. We happily chose both. She struck that elusive balance of attentiveness and restraint present when needed, graciously invisible when not allowing the evening to unfold at its own pace.
