The business owners reply to my review is a lie to cover his business. What a shame. We replaced the grass even though when we moved in it was already very bare. The dog was very well trained and didn't ruin anything in the house. We should have received the full deposit like I said, but of course if they can steal your money they will. Just make sure you take video and pictures when you leave to prevent this happening to you. But I'm sure they will still come up with something to rip you off. read more

We rented a condo from Blackbird for three years. I will say as a management company they are fine. It was a fairly easy process to finish the lease and move in. They were very responsive when we had maintenance issues. They were proactive in renewing our lease and extremely fair about raises in rent given we lived here during the pandemic. They stayed in contact by phone and by email which made things easier. The problem was leaving the condo. They provide you with a very detailed list of what needs to be cleaned. You have to use their vendors. And honestly fine, we dealt with it as best we could and I knew when we left there was still a lot to be done. I'm not going to pretend that it was in pristine condition when we left. I knew that we would not be getting our $1100 security deposit back and I was okay with this. However months after we left I get a phone call from a debt collector. We apparently owed an extra $700. I requested a breakdown of the $700 which nickeled and dimed every little thing. I'm not familiar with the vendors they use but I can tell you they were overcharged. And honestly that's not even what made me angry. They are a for profit company and screwing people over is kind of what being a management company is all about. I get that. I'm more angry that they didn't make any attempt to contact me before turning it over to a collection agent. They have my email and phone, they've used both, I don't know why a quick 'hey give us more money' message wasn't sent. If I ever move back to Las Vegas I will never use this company again in any capacity. read more

To be honest I am surprised that I am writing this after living in this house over 6 years. A couple of weeks ago I was informed that they would like me to sign a new lease and they are upping the rent $200 a month Feb 1st. Although upset I have been paying below market rent and I was prepare to work with them so to make it easier on my children. I was then informed that they needed to do and inspection before the new lease is signed, which I agreed to mentioning that I leave home at 7:30am and get home at 6pm so please if we could arrange an appointment after 6pm as I do not want to take time from work. The lady on the phone said that she would see what she could do yet 2 hours later I received this email: Our normal business hours are from 9:30 am, to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and that is when we will conduct business. Being able to perform the inspection the owner wants to be done and only being allowed access after our business hours is not acceptable. I think it is best that you find another home to live in and have instructed my staff you serve you with a 30-day notice to vacate the property. I lived in a home managed by this company for eight years. It was my first experience with a management company and after eight years I thought they all operated this way. George and his staff were friendly, polite, respectful, and very knowledgeable. Maintenance requests were handled in a very timely manner. Rent payment was amazingly easy online. Negotiations regarding new leases were amicable and satisfactory to both parties. I'm writing this review after now living in a home for eight months not managed by Blackbird. Highly recommended to use this compamy. From a renter, it's exactly what you want. Super responsive by text and work order. They have an app that allows you to place a work order and the status of it. We resigned our lease for 1 more year and they sent a representative over and a home inspector to make sure there were no leaks or issues. I guess some people on this review thinks it's intrusive but if you treat the house like it's your own then you would appreciate this. If you trash your rental then good for the company not allowing you to stay. It's great for both the home owner and renter. We have recommended this company to our co workers. Normally, I don't feel the need to write a review on Yelp but I'm warning you DO NOT use this company! They are the worst management company I have ever encountered. To start, they'll nickel and dime you with extra chargers. They are always hitting you with repairs or things that need to be fixed, and if you use their contractors be ready for a bill that is double what would normally be charged by other contractors. Then they add a 10% sur-charge to the bill to pad their own pockets all under the guise that by using their contractors who work numerous jobs for the company charge less even with their surcharge added to the bill which they say would be much less than sourcing your own contractors... DON'T BELIEVE THIS!!! They are crooks plan and simple. The quality of work is subpar and extremely overpriced. The agent assigned to my property whose name is Mark Lister, is probably one of the most incompetent unknowledgeable property managers that they have in their roster. He has no clue how to double check the quality of work or know when the contractors are overcharging for the most simplest of things. He definitely does not have the owners best interest in mind. After the first year I was making no profit and had to pay out of pocket to keep up with their constant extra costs. The tenants that they sourced were of the worst caliber, to the point I was getting calls from neighbors constantly for excessive noise, partying, police being called... which you would think would be a good reason to evict those tenants. When I would try to call my agent to inform him of problems he would just put me off as if I didn't know what I was talking about and that he was doing all that he could to handle the situation. What was basically nothing because the tenants kept having parties and making excessive noise and disrupting the neighborhood. So do yourself a favor stay as far away from this company as possible. There are much better companies out there to do the job without all the extra costs and headaches. read more

We have only been in one of their rentals for a couple weeks now, but all all can say is that this company is a great company to rent from. Gene, is one totally awesome dude. Very attentive and on top of things. The process to pay rent is easy through a link online. Maintenance, wow they REALLY are on top of things. We have had several things that needed to be addressed, I put in one request in on a Friday evening and they responded back quick with the an approval to have the issue addressed. This morning (7:30am) I reported a lose water spout. They responded with the work order information about 20 minutes later. Talk about great service. I am retracting my satisfaction with Blackbird Realty. The move in and stay was nice and taken care of. But when we moved out they had 1700.00 of our deposit . We did have some issues with carpet but George was ok with that. That house was built in 2000. Nothing in the house was updated at all. They charge us for a kitchen faucet that was at least 17 yrs old. Screens that were there but in garage.Even showed them on move out video. Charged us for two garage remotes that were not ever given to us when the garage door had to be replaced because it was so old. Told us we didn't clean house when we hired a maid for 200.00 to clean.Now there was wood shavings on floor from installing 2 new doors.And they had to finish some putty work and some things we were going to be fixed all was done except parts up ie; towel rack,sink stopper in bathroom.Now they are going to have to update that house as far as linoleum in kitchen tile in kitchen and some parts of house.Because it's so old. Then they wanted to raise our rent to 1300.00 because of the side of town we were on. Ann and 95. NOT! SO THE SENT US A MOVE OUT BILL FOR 2900.00 MINUS 1700.00 NO WAY IN HELL. YEA THEY SCREWED US.SO I IMAGINE NEW RENTERS WILL GET UPDATED HOUSE THANKS TO OUR MONEY TO HELP. THEY KNEWW THEY WERE GOING TO HAVE TO UPDATE IT BUT THEY WERE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING IT RENTED IN NOVEMBER PER MARK LISTER'S WORDS.HE IS A FAST TALKING AND HAS TO ALWAYS BE RIGHT OR HE STARTS BEING A SMART ASS.Lived there for 8 years never late on rent.
