i could honestly write volumes about my experience with Dr. Blacker and his staff. I needed Invisalign (there was no way I could do braces with my job) and had a LOT of work that needed done. It started when I sought several consultations from different orthodontists. Over and over again different orthodontists told me I couldn't do Invisalign because it wouldn't do the level of work I needed it to. Dr. Blacker was the only one who confidently said from day one that he could do it. My case was a difficult one, and I had a couple of dental procedures during my Invisalign period that shifted things and needed additional work. Dr. Blacker and his team remained professional and courteous throughout this time and went above and beyond to make sure my smile looked just right. I've only had great experiences here for 2.5 years and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. Both locations have the same level of care and use the same technicians. I had to have braces to help with a corrective jaw surgery that I was having and the technicians remembered me and made me feel very comfortable pre- and post-surgery. My siblings and I all went to Dr. Blacker when I was in high school. Unfortunately my process was more extensive than my siblings. I had to get jaw surgery and I had braces prior, during and after. He helped me get through the process. Years later I had to return, because during a cleaning at my dentist office they accidentally took off part of my top permanent retainer. I was unable to fix it back in the day and didn't think it was a big deal. However, over the years my teeth shifted and the metal that was placed in my face from the surgery was giving me headaches from my teeth shifting. I chose to go back to Dr. Blacker because he was there for me during that process so long ago and I had a great experience. I put my faith in him once again to correct the issue and we chose to do Invisalign this time around. The process with Invisalign with Dr. Blacker was easy. His dental assistants are more than qualified. They are polite, helpful and make you feel welcome and safe. Dr. Blacker is amazing at what he does and why I chose to go to him again. I trusted him in high school and I still trust him. Once again he helped me through this process and gave me a beautiful smile. First and foremost I suggest they rename their business to 2nd and THEN 3rd ROUND dentistry. As that that exact what they shared with me on how the doctor services work. They said the Doctor creates the layout of the patients teeth then he uniform them up to the patient standards. Well what happens if the patient has straight and aligned teeth already. I wish they would of told me this prior to making my first down payment that's wasnt refundable. Yes! I went in there for a small correction (meaning my teeth were straight and aligned.. however simply wanted a broader smile, meaning my back 6 teeth shifted out now) I was told it would take 1 1/2. The reason why it would take so long is because the Orth wanted to rearrange my teeth the way he wanted them for a year then complete what I originally had requested. I wasn't there paying someone how they wanted my teeth to look, I wanted to pay for how I wanted my over all smile to look. Mhmm I foolishly though, I never asked and agreed to treatment. I Got home look at the set of trays from start to finish and was just utterly frustrated as there was no real difference from start to finish in the first 1-6 months of treatment. Why was I paying for that. Further more I never even met the doctor and was told they didn't need to see me again for the next 3 months. But of course payment would still need to be made. My suggestion, if you want a business with someone who just going to throw you in the typical patent timeline because more convenient on their hygienist, is easier for the doctor and economically un realistic (as it being your 2nd time in braces) head over to Doctor Blackered office, they'll squeeze you in and have no problem collecting your money for less then mediocre service from the staff and TELL YOU THEY DONT NEED TO SEE YOU FOR The next 3 months!!! That's the KICKER!! You just put someone in Invisalign and YOU DONT need to see how they're teeth are first responding to TREATMENT to see if any correcting need to be made (everyone's bone structure/density is different). Think of it this way.. if you take a rubber band and try to stretch it out, it might be difficult the first few times, then if you take another type of rubber band (same size but maybe thicker) there a chance it's going to have a different tension then the previous. Then take multiple small rubber bands and try stretching them 2 verse 6, hopefully you get the point. That's similar to ones done structure, thus you shouldn't group clients in a 2 year period simply because it's convenient. UPDATE!! ****I got a second opinion and just like I suspected treatment took 6 months (less then one 3rd the price of treatment his staff quoted) 5 months of movement 1 months of retaining then into permanent retainer. If I could go back I wouldn't of wasted that money, when my teeth were doing little to nothing! Ohh lol and they requested i make a second trip to bring back their trays, which I DID!! (they were useless to me) But yet they refused to give me back the initial first treatment portion and refund the payment my insurance paid them. This was another issue because I had made it CRYSTAL CLEAR as to what I wanted out of this procedure. AND THEY SAID THAT MAYBE IT DIDNT GET RELAID TO THE ORTHO, (lol well why is the hygienist taking these notes and not the doctor/ortho) in the first place. The whole reason why I went to their office was because I wanted to BROADEN my SMILE! Lol that's like going to a Mexican restaurant ordering Horchata (a Mexican drink) then them expecting you to pay and then bringing out coke cola. Lol then them saying well they're both drinks. Except like 100x more expensive. read more

No one ever apologized or announced that they were running late. It's not the running late that's the problem, but it would be nice to be notified or apologized to. I couldn't get pass the fact that he wanted to charge me full price for braces and/or Invisalign, even though I'd already had a full 24 sets on Invisalign already.
