    Tuesday menu

Came here on a Tuesday for the prime rib special. It's $24.99 for a prime rib with jus, mashed potatoes and vegetables (as of 6/18/2024). It was good! I enjoyed the prime rib and vegetables, I thought they were seasoned well but the mashed potatoes didn't have much salt and the gravy wasn't for me. I'm usually not at a loss for words on how to describe food but describing the gravy is difficult because it's not something I've tasted before. It tasted bland and had an artificial taste? Like it came from a packet? I could be wrong but it was unique. I wished the gravy was made from the jus of the prime rib. that was yummy. The ambiance was nice! I liked the vibe of the place. It felt lively, even with only a few people (we went early) and there's a ton of tvs so it makes for a nice bar to watch sports. It's also very clean which is wonderful. The service was great too! Everyone was nice and friendly. All-in-all, I would definitely come again and try their other food/ weekly specials.

I went on a Football Sunday . I had called prior to going in and the staff were so nice and told us to come right in that a table would be set up . She also asked what games we wanted to watch so they could accommodate us, which I loved. I ordered garlic shrimp , spinach artichoke dip, and wings. They have great deals and also definitely check out the Happy hour. The shrimp was amazing that I couldn't even get a picture oh and it comes with small garlic breads yum ! I ordered plain wings with sauce on the side . What a crispy wing and the Thai chili sauce was good. I also got Fries with gravy and cheese and a great balance of both . The crowd was great and everyone had the same purpose : Football . I would definitely return with my friends and family for more amazing food and a great vibe ! Thank you guys !

This is a neighborhood dive-bar that gives you what you are craving. As you enter you are greeted by security which is good to have, but that means this could turn into a sh!t show... I'm sure these bouncers had to break up a fight or two. Although I did not try the food here, you can have a great time. They have a backroom for a private event or just to dine in. Plenty of bar space and high tables on the bar side. Even darts for your drunk gaming needs.

5 stars in the dive bar\sports bar\pub category. Street parking with another location in Hawthorne NJ. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Pool tables, darts, plenty of TVs. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Great selection of spirits. Good selection of beers. and lots of delish Apps and Entrees. Portions are good sized with all types of Specials to save $$. Special event nights too. ( i.e. Trivia Night, Live bands) Irish Spring Rolls filled with corned beef, cabbage, and mashed potatoes served with a coarse ground mustard for dipping was a true bar food belly filler. Garlic shrimp with lemon butter served with garlic bread ( for a day with the guys' LOL) The burgers were very good as well with a large selection ( see menu below). Ownership knows what it is doing here. In Dictionary under : Pub, chill hangout, good drinks, good times, you'll see Black Jack Mulligan's. See ya soon!

This place is down the street from my parents. I've had their steak in the past with veggies and mashed potatoes, which is to die for. I've had their burger and onion rings and It was great as well. Most recently, I tried a new item: buffalo chicken wrap. I didn't know they put it on the panini press and let me just say *chef's kiss*. It was so good. Will definitely try some other items in the future. I've only done take out so I can speak for the food mostly. When I've gone in theres usually good music playing. I haven't tried their drinks or eaten inside but I can only imagine it's a good vibe.

Have not been to this location in a few years, The GF wanted to go, so off we went on a Saturday afternoon, walked in and we were greeted by the bartender and a few of the customers there, very nice people. The GF wanted the Rib Eye steak sandwich, and I got a Guinness BBQ burger, The burger was very good, I had a bit of the Steak Sandwich, which was delicious. the beer was nice and cold also. Will be back again.

I've been coming here for a while and have never been disappointed. Mostly regulars but they don't make you feel like an outsider. Good pub menu with all the usuals. Good wings, burgers, tacos and a great Tuesday night Prime Rib. Bartenders are all friendly and know how to make a good drink. This has become a solid go-to weeknight spot.

Definitely a bar atmosphere. Not too big. The food here was good. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lava cake. My friend enjoyed his Shepard's pie. Penne vodka was tasty and shrimp is well seasoned. Quesadilla was good--wish they had some guacamole. Overall I would definitely return.

Went here for happy hour on a Thursday. Happy hour is super cheap. $2.50 for a domestic bottle, $3.50 for import. They have a few appetizers for $5/$6 too. So far, I've had the wings, fried pickles, pretzel bites, cheese fries, and boilermaker fries. All of it was super cheap. The wings are especially meaty. The cheese sauce that comes with the pretzels goes great on fries, but you gotta special order. Definitely a good spot for food and drinks

My go-to whenever I come back to my hometown :) The longer I've been away from my hometown, the more I miss Blackjack and their food. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder! Came back for Mother's Day yesterday, and their food was out of this world. Plus, the Mother's Day special was awesome! $24.99 for one brunch item plus $0.50 unlimited select drinks (mimosas, man-mosas, screwdrivers, bloody marys) for 2 hours. Had the steak and eggs brunch with mimosas and screwdrivers then got funnel fries and chocolate lava cake for dessert to share with the table. Everything was amazing! The rib-eye was unbelievably juicy and tender and cooked to perfection like always, funnel fries were to die for (my new favorite dessert here!), and the chocolate lava cake was super moist and fudge-y. Our server was great too, but I didn't catch her name. Don't miss out on this place!

One of my friends really enjoyed the beef soup, the cucumber salad was pretty much sliced cucumbers, the yogurt dip was fresh and tasty, and the Bulgarian salad was a hit with great pieces of feta. The Deja Vu grilled platter for two was outstanding! So much delicious variety of meats! We added a skirt steak that my friend wanted, plus the pork and beef patties in Marsala sauce, and the white bean casserole. The bean and Marsala dishes were excellent! I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

Posting here too because it seems like the reviews we left on Google are being taken down?…read more I never write negative reviews. My philosophy is that if something happened that needs the attention of a manager or owner, do so in the moment so something can be done then and there. However, speaking with the owner about his did not solve anything. If anything, it made one fact irrevocably clear, The Rock is not a safe space. For ANYONE. Period. Full stop. The context: this past weekend, on Saturday 8/8/26, my partner, friends, and I were targeted and verbally harassed with homophobic slurs by a man at the bar. What made it so much worse was that the owner, Brian, was standing with the man (later identified as Rich) and woman with dark hair and arm tattoos (who Brian says he has "no idea who we are talking about," which is weird because they DEFINITELY knew each other and were enjoying each others company, the three of them.) Brian, the owner, stood there and did absolutely nothing. Not a word was said to his friend or the woman. He stood there and watched as a group of PAYING customers were being harassed. He watched his patrons get humiliated and chose his friends over his business. We contact the owner, Brian, and he said that he would call us back on MONDAY to "make it right." Well, it is now Monday and we received a non-apology. He said he had spoken to Rich the next day. When asked why Brian didn't do anything in the moment, he said "I know my friend and when he's drunk like that I can't." So again, he chooses his own comfort instead of standing up for his paying guests. When asked why he supported his homophobic friend, he said, "he's not homophobic! His wife is bi!" Outing his friend's wife was not the apology I was expecting to get, but that's what we got. Without taking ANY accountability, he insisted that The Rock isn't "that" type of place. I keep thinking about how easily it could have been anyone else. Someone smaller. Someone younger who didn't have anyone else around with them. What if his friend had had more to drink? What was to stop him from doing more? Definitely not the owner. Now, if you own a business, the BAREST of minimums is to make sure your guests are safe. Brian failed at that completely, and I don't want anyone else to find th out the hard way. The Rock is NOT safe for anyone.
