Great food and excellent service for the barmaids. Very reasonably priced. They have both Guinness and Allagash White on tap.

Great place to grab a beer and watch the game. Also don't sleep on there "moon burger" which is a cheese burger with Taylor ham on it, it's incredible. Place is super cheap also. Bartenders there are awesome. Small bar but there's a bit of tables in there to sit. read more

Had an emergency and my significant other was not answering his cell phone. Called the bar and at first the woman that answered was very nice, even went outside to hear me, until I asked for her assistance in locating him, then she got very rude and said she couldn't help me and hung up on me! This place is a local legend and a hidden gem! Never had a bad time here, ever... but even better than that is the food! The moon burger (cheeseburger with Taylor ham) is sooooo good and comes with a little spicy pepper on the side for kick The cheesesteak is also great, so is the steak! One of my favorites are the "specialty days" like Monday's when they offer seafood or Saturday's where you get 2 hot dogs for a buck. Best neighborhood bar around! Great seafood on Monday nights (the clams are awesome), FRESH steaks/burgers all the time, and wings and hotdog specials on Football Sundays. Family run, friendly bartenders, pool table, darts, music, football...what else could one want? Totally casual "dive bar" feel. Cash only, but that makes the drinks cheap (they have an ATM on-site). Just watch out for the bear in the lady's bathroom (you'll see). Highly recommend, one of my faves. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon. Day bartender Courtney was super nice. Shift changed and some hipster guy came on and had a major attitude because I tipped the day bartender as she was leaving her shift. So skinny jeans hipster Sunday night bartender decides to charge me close to $180.00 for my tab. I was drinking beer. Do you realize how much I would have had to drink in order for it to be that high especially since I closed out my day tab. I asked for a receipt he would not provide one. Not even a hand written one, I hope that cash is going into the register...(LOL) aside from the hipster bartender, I actually like the place because I can walk there. Its a local bar. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Drink's are fair if you get a good bartender. Food is good. Games are always on. If you see a hipster behind the bar, leave immediately. read more

This place is GREAT 12 beers on tab. Some beers are $1.50 a mug. People in here are so FRIENDLY and on Saturdays the bar tender Lori is AMAZING and FRIENDLY, she welcomes all people even if you are new to the bar so treats you like an old timer. On Saturdays they have a lunch special (what ever the owner wants to make) is a $1.50. Speaking of the owner he is GREAT as Lori and makes you feel welcome in his own kind of way. I have been here at night for a beer and a steak at the bar and all was good. So my wife n I decide to do a "dive bar" Saturday afternoon for beers and something to eat. 3:30 and the place is packed, both the bar and most of the tables and the music is cranked up. I go stand at the bar to get beers while my wife sits at a high top table near the bar. Nobody is behind the bar. I wait about 5 minutes and see that there is a girl, most likely the bartender, taking care of the tables in both the bar area and the back room. That is a lot of area for her to cover. She finally gets back behind the bar and walks past me 3 times while filling the glasses of the other bar patrons, then stops at the end of the bar to have a drink herself and leaves the bar to clean tables. I decide to leave. I turn and my wife is being "courted" by some old drunk guy. He isn't being nasty, just annoying (at 3:30...lol). So I say, "I can't get a drink here so let's go." And the drunk guy insists that HE can get us drinks. The barmaid comes over to us, but it is to throw the guy out. Seems he was asked to leave before we arrived but didn't comply. He is now protesting and some guy comes over and helps the barmaid, and escorts the drunk out. Since I now have the barmaid's attention, I order a Stella and a Rolling Rock. The barmaid goes behind the bar and proceeds to make another dozen drinks for other patrons. It is almost laughable at this point. It almost looked like she forgot about my order. I'd walk out but my wife is a kind soul and insists that since we ordered the beers we wait a bit longer. Finally, I see the Stella being poured and a Bud Light. Barmaid delivers and I asked if that was a Rolling Rock, she realizes her mistake and goes back to get it right. I think she was simply overwhelmed by the task of her job. She comes back with the flattest beer I have ever had, and goes back behind the bar. I give up, go to the bar, paid for the beers. left 2 bucks tip and got the hell outta there. 2 stars? I think maybe I'm being generous, since the entire experience a sh**show. read more

I'm pretty sure this place is actually called Sportsman's Tavern. Very interesting bar. Best place to be for Sunday Football. 25c wings, 50c hot dogs, you can't beat that!
