I hate to give any experience less than 5. Our experiences has been less then ideal both times. First time our hard working driver a few months ago was unable to find our delivery address. And earlier this evening we thought, let's give them another chance/try. We placed the order to be picked up an hour later after placing our order. Thus giving extra time to ensure a quality product. We checked in, the gentleman took our money and tip. He informed us our pizza would be done shortly. They were busy- as a presumably- regular customer exclaimed, indicating he had never seen it as "busy" (foot traffic). We ordered a pizza, bread, 2 2-liters a salad and a few extra sauces. The gentleman who we checked in with had gone to go do a delivery. The problem started when he failed to communicate to the rest of his coworkers that we were waiting or any manager failed to call our name once the order was done. I dont recommend anyone to be patron. As a veteran owned business, we thought they know what they are doing. Let me give you a link to spend your hard earned money to a national chain that seems to have no problems with foot traffic and veterans as actual employees. Well, the only good thing about picking up pizza you ordered to pickup at a specific time is you get a nice sunset when you've wired for about an hour. So now that nobody seems to be able to communicate that the guy here to pick up a web order already has his drink as salad. He's just waiting off the hot food. But no...I waited an hour after waking out to put my cold food in the truck and wait for my hot food. I never heard my name called. Never heard it called again, like used to be done. I figured there's were a ton of orders ahead of me. But alas, apparently my food was ready for about an hour. Ya know, probably right before I walked back into the shop. So now, after a beautiful sunset, I'm home I'm with cold pizza, cold cheese bread, soggy salad and hot drinks. Sadly, this is the second time I e tried to order from this place. I was looking for something other than regular pizza on my way home to start my 4 day weekend and stumbled across this place. My 2 year old loves Pizza so we walk in and IMMEDIATELY I notice the honey sriracha pizza but wanted to add pineapples and bbq drizzle on it which was NO problem for the staff! I've never seen my daughter demolish her own little personal size pizza like she did before AND it's veteran owned so I got a nice little discount. I tried to order pizza and bcz I ran through the rain, starving and only gave them 30 minutes until they closed they turned me and my very hungry teenagers away. We were forced to go to Dominos where they heard my woes and not only were they sad to hear of our starvation, they ever so gracefully made us a pizza, gave us a towel to dry off with and a discount to hear how poorly we were treated. Best pizza spot in Pueblo in my opinion. Love the convenience of online ordering through their website. We ordered pizza, wings, calzone, and a salad. My kids said the pizza was good. I really like that you can get a personal pan pizza for less then $5 (great for that one picky kid who only like cheese pizza). The wings were seasoned and cooked very well with plenty of dipping sauce. The calzone was great also. Tasty dough, sauce and fresh veggies. Salad was amazing especially for a pizza place. Blackjack was my number one best fast-food pizza for over 4 years, not anymore! As much as I love the quality of the product, I finally got tired of not getting what I ordered. Blackjack cooks WILL NOT add your choice of toppings on the whole pizza, period! I've had many pizzas that had some toppings on partial areas of the pizza. This was so common that when ordering a pizza, I would go there person to make sure I get what I requested. Well this became tiresome and the last time was the final straw. Three weeks ago I ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and half jalapeño pizza with extra tomato sauce. I mentioned to the cashier to please tell the cooks to make the pizza as ordered. She nodded acknowledgment about the topping issue and indicated it was a problem. I thanked her and gave a $5 tip as I always tip well. Food service is a tough business. After 20 minutes I received my pizza and checked it. The results were awful. The pizza (8 slices) had very few mushrooms on it and several slices had one or two pieces on them. The jalapeños and pepperoni were ok. I did not see any indication that I received extra sauce, which I found to be true after returning home. I complained to the cashier and she said they will fix the problem. This cost me and additional 20 minutes and the fix was laughable. A few extra mushrooms were added for my 20 minute wait. For the record, I'm a huge supporter of local Pueblo businesses and always respectful to workers and servers. I tip very generously, and I have continuously promoted Blackjack to my friends and coworkers. The cashiers were wonderful and did their best to resolve my issue. For the record, I am not a constant complainer, or someone who is hard to please. In fact this is only the second review I've ever written on a restaurant. Every other pizza chain I've tried, always give me what I ordered. IMHO Blackjack management doesn't care about this issue. If they did, it would be resolved. Perhaps the management tells the cooks to be frugal with pizza toppings? Either way, Blackjack is always busy and likely making lots of cash. Everyone was using sir and ma'am, and it felt better than most places in the area. I know people only review when they had a bad experience, but this was a great one. Blackjack's food gave my wife and I food poisoning last week. It was the only meal we ate in common, and we became sick at the same time with the same symptoms. I've written multiple emails to the company and have called a manager to warn them to keep other customers from getting sick, but my emails were ignored and phone call was dismissed by an uninterested manager. We're convinced the southwest salad made us sick, most likely from salad dressing or greens food being left out too long. Getting sick was bad enough, but I'm baffled by Blackjack's irresponsible, aloof response. There is another review posted on Google complaining of the same issue. Great salads!!! I can tell when a restaurant uses bagged lettuce and when they cut fresh heads of lettuce and their lettuce is not from a bag.
