It is basically a bar and was pretty much empty when we came here. We got the jalapeno poppers to share. I got the avocado club sandwich with Pueblo chillies and grilled onions. My friend got a California burger. Everything was delicious! The poppers were hot with gooey cream cheese. The California burger was perfectly cooked with avocados and deliciousness. That avocado club with the onions and the pueblo chillies is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Even the potato fries were crunchy and soft at the same time. Everything had a homemade feel to it, which made us love the food more. All in all, come here for the food, if the ambiance isn't really your thing. It is really good! The place is quiet in the afternoon so that should be a good time to enjoy the food.

He said if you don't see the fries or bun, assume your eating it all. Our waiter is very knowledgeable and was quick with his recommendations. He answered a burger question when asked and took his time with us. We did not feel rushed. My husband also ordered a beer flight and found some he enjoyed. All the staff worked together and matched our personality. Well, my husband's personality. We ended up ordering 3 cups if green chili with their chips. The salsa had a nice kick, mild kick, because they added green chilis to it. It tasted home made. When we had a minor issue with the bill, our waiter took charge and without hesitation took to fix it. We of course had to order dessert. Our waiter came back within minutes to inform some of the desserts were sold out but offered a replacement. I got the peach pie and my husband got the chocolate cake. The peach pie was a perfect mini size Cons: My husband was surprised the manager wasn't walking around ensuring everything ran smoothly. I honestly don't see it as a con. Also, the parking lot is small and when it gets busy I can see walking from another block over. There are 3 spots for the hotel and 4 spots that are a 2 hour limit. Recommended? Absolutely yes. Great food and excellent staff. Everyone here is friendly and seems excited to help the customers. We will definitely be back. And maybe stay at the hotel and walk over to enjoy a hamburger or more shrimp tacos with a cup of green chili

Since we hadn't been here in five years, I mentioned to our waiter how much I was craving a bowl, and he went out of his way to make it happen. That level of service alone made the visit memorable. I also ordered the Velvet Smoke mezcal cocktail, and wow, it was exceptional. Smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too strong. The smoky notes were present but not overpowering, and the nixta slate liqueurs, or heat and bitters brought everything together beautifully. Great service, great drinks, and a team that's willing to go the extra mile. Definitely worth the stop.

Had it been just slightly cooler, we would've opted to sit outside. As it was like 100F we chose to seat inside which featured a view of the riverwalk from the second story. The space is big enough for large groups and parties and even featured a gelato bar. Our tandem of two waitresses (I think we came in between shifts) were both great and we wanted for nothing. I ordered a Breckenridge Vanilla Porter, which was tasty, but it unfortunately was not very cold. However, the Specialty Pizza Romana was absolutely a stand out. I guess the dough for this pizza is fermented and aged?!? Don't recall the exact process, but it was delicious. The pizza featured both a vodka marinara sauce and also pesto. It was topped with mozzarella, mortadella, prosciutto, capicola and salami. It was like eating an Italian sub on top of a pizza. All of it just worked together and made for a damn tasty pizza big enough to feed 4 adults. We were gonna try some other menu items, but there was only 3 of us and we were full after the pizza. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Aside from the lukewarm beer, we were joined at the table by an unusual amount of flies! I worked in restaurants and bars for years. I know flying pests are not completely in your control, but we spent a lot of time "shooing" and trying to swat pesty flies from the time the pizza hit the table until we took our last bite.
