I brought my 4Runner for a tire rotation after my usual mechanic replaced my breaks. The staff at this shop noticed a clip that was facing in the wrong direction and also that the break parts had not been greased. They offered to correct this matter and charge one hour of labor ($130 + $20 for the rotation). These guys are ALWAYS professional. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I understand with cats you get what you pay for in purchasing or repairing them you get what you pay for. I dont really know if their prices are the same as other places but be assured that your car will be repaired. They will give you an honest assessment of your car. Me as a woman I feel comfortable bringing my car in to them. I recently went to Blue Flame beside them and i paid much more because as a woman they told me about 10 different things that i needed to replace. I went to Blue Flame and they charged me 2k to fix a noise that I was hearing. My car was still making the noise. I took my car to Blacks Tire and Auto and I found out it was something that would cost around $40. The parts were $40 and then I had to pay for time but I would have rather paid Blacks $200 than to have paid Blue Flame 2k. Its Blacks from now on. I have learned my lesson. Cheaper isnt better. You get what you pay for. It you want it fixed correctly then go to Blacks. Save time and money. Take it from me a hard head makes a soft behind just like my parents uses to tell us. read more

Just like every other tire place that offers "free" everything with the purchase of new tires, and then has a caveat to that where they get to charge you for something else every time you take your vehicle there to maintain the tire warranty. Was sold on the impression that tire rotation and balance was included with new tires, only to find out when taking my truck in for the very F'ng first rotate and balance that balance wasn't included and would be $15.99 per tire, plus tax. EXTREMELY disappointing and CAN NOT recommend anyone to get tires here. Go get your tires at Walmart. read more

When I walked in there was a guy at the computer at the far end of the counter. He never greeted me, never said I'll get someone for you. Finally another gentleman comes in and asks me what I need done. He wasn't friendly at all and opened his hand for me to drop the keys in it. I waited in the waiting room for my vehicle and when I walked back out, same guy at the far end clicking away on the computer. Again, he says nothing. I waited for a few minutes then walked outside to see if I could find him. Then I spot my car at the side of the parking lot, I have no idea how long it was ready. Nobody let me know it was done. So I went back in and waited again until the guy came back in and rang me up. No apologies given, nothing said for not letting me know the car was ready. Nothing. I've been coming for a few years and this by far has been my worst experience with the front office staff. I'm not sure what's going on, but whatever it is, it's not good. read more

Echoing another review. It is ridiculous to bring in your car for what should be a simple innocuous state safety inspection and then have the car held hostage for something it didn't need. Apparently, the inspection fee was not enough to cover their costs, so I was charged for them to replace wiper blades that were less than 3 months old. To make matters worse they were replaced with cheap universal 'cut to fit' type blades that have a poor j-hook fit and the wiper blade components literally fell apart scraping the windshield while in use. Never again will I trust my car to this outfit; Imagine what would happen on a more invasive need than a safety inspection. read more

I have brought both of my cars there over the past three years. They have always been super friendly and knowledgeable. There was one time where I was waiting and they marked my car as a drop off (waiting is supposed to get you in/out as quickly as they can). They ended up making it right and apologizing. Had them do two alignments on my car in the past 9 months. I went back 9 months after the first one when my front tires started to shake. Even though this is my second car that I don't use very often, they said that the "Raleigh roads" must have ruined my first alignment and charged me for a second one. Now, 100 miles after the last alignment, my front wheels are shaking worse than they were last time. I showed up with a problem tire at 5:30 when they close, the general manager pulled the car in the bay and proceeded to patch two nails that were found in the tire. Everyone stayed about 30 minutes past closing, they were truly happy to help. I was super impressed. I now have found my go to mechanic! read more

First and foremost find another place to have you service work on your car completed. I went in for an alignment. I asked if they could check my brakes as they were squelling and give me a quote on a set of tires. I was waiting in the service area for 1 1/2 hours when I realized it was 5:30 and they were about to close. I felt like I had been forgotten. I got up, looked outside and noticed my car had been moved so I proceeded to the counter but had to wait as others were being helped. When I was being checked out the guy indicated the mechanic wrote "something" down but he couldn't read it and he was gone for the day. (No kidding, they closed at 5:30). He advised I had 25% brakes left and handed me a quote of what a new set of brakes would cost. He never mentioned the quote for a new set of tires and I didn't bring it up since it was approaching 2 hours that I had been there. On the way home I read the estimate and it stated that my front brakes were at the indicator and the rear brakes were metal to metal. I was referred to Blacks by a friend but not only have they lost my future business, they also lost his business. Side note: the waiting area did not have cups to get water from their machine that was provided. There were 4 cups on the counter but they were all dirty. There was also no paper towels to dry your hands in the ladies restroom. However this couldn't been overlooked if I would have received better service. read more

Let me tell you why I feel lucky to be alive right now. Several months ago two of my tires picked up some nails so I pulled in here to get them patched (btw they say they only patch tires from the inside, instead of plugs) Anyways, it takes em an hour and I'm on my way. A couple of months later my buddy pointed out one of my tires was MOUNTED ON BACKWARDS. A tire they patched up. So I brought it back to them and they remounted it and apologized and gave me coupons and junk. Immediately after, I noticed my car was very unstable on the freeway. Even rolling on streets didn't feel right. I checked my tire pressure and that same tire had 52lbs of air. 52psi! WAY over inflated. The guys at the counter seem nice but the clowns working on your car have no idea what they're doing and will put your life in danger. STAY AWAY! read more
