I took my car in for service because I was having issues with the car pulling left and right. I was told it was my tires. 5 hours, while I wanted there because they said it would be quick and 4 tires later, I finally got my car. I drive it home and still there was the same problem. I took the car back and was told that it was NOT my tires. They kept the car another 8 hours ( this time I went home to wait), and was told that I had a bunch of broken parts in my front end that they didn't find the first time. I had wasted another day off of work . Never again will I subject myself to this scam. I had taken an RV here to have it looked at and they sold me 6 new tires. Apparently they were all bad just like now. F this place and the scams they pull. read more

I brought my ford fusion in because the tire was continuously leaking. It's my daughter's car while she is in college (NC state ) I wanted it repaired for her as it's dangerous to drive on a low tire pressure. I was told it was the rim and needed to be welded. I paid $200 and was assured my tire was repaired. However, to my disappointment, as my daughter drove the car back to Raleigh the tire light came on and the pressure went as low as 15. I paid $200 and the tire was not repaired. I'm extremely disappointed and angry. I feel duped. But even worse I am still worried for my daughter's safety. My first visit to this place will also be my last. It was hard to believe what a nightmare this so-called professional auto service company is. My daughter was getting her car looked at and the mechanic slammed her car into a metal frame that was outside the working garage!! He did not apologize and the manager barely apologized! I told the manager about what I was wanting fixed in my car. she kept saying something about the battery. I said it wasn't the battery. I then got charged over $400 for some sort of repairs. My car still smells and still makes the noise. She says it may be something else. What kind of professionals are really working here? It's a dump. read more

On March 15, 2025, I had a new water pump installed by the mechanic at BTS Black's Tire on 750 US-17 Business SC . I had reported an incident that took place at that location. After the mechanic install my new water pump, he didn't install my lower fan shroud. This mechanic is incompetent, and I believe he is not certified or license to work on vehicles. This mechanic will destroy your vehicle. Moreover, I had reported this incident to the South Carolina customer protection affair agency. On April 3, 2025, someone wrote a response from the company, it was all lies to cover their asses. They should be all fired. The analyst wrote me good feedbacks to take them to court and to go to the magistrate office and find criminal activity that that guy stole my lower fan shroud the mechanic. BTS black tires on 1750 US 17 business do not bring your car or vehicle there they will destroy it. They're pretty good liars. They never called me they never put my vehicle for pressure test they're bunch of liars I was there. read more

This time Black's Tire failed and failed badly. I have used them in the past for simple things such as an oil change and buying tires they've always done a good job, even if they are a little more expensive than their competitors. This time however, I had an anti-lock brake sensor giving me issues. The first time they tried to fix it they said they found it and replaced the sensor and I was good to go. When I got home and took it on its first test drive the sensor light came on and I heard a strange noise. I returned it to Black's and they said my wife's driving must have broke loose a plastic protector underneath the car because mud was up inside there where it shouldn't be. My thought was they never resecured it and that's why mud got up there when "I" drove through a mud puddle. From a customer service standpoint, I would refrain from accusing your customers of being the ones who failed to do something correctly. Accusing my wife was a very poor choice on the manager's as well. After two days of test driving, they were unable to find anything wrong and could not get the light to come on again. The first day my wife drove the car to work, the light came back on. We chose them to take it to Mavis Tire where they found several loose bolts and all they had to do was tighten everything up and clean the sensor. Mavis informed us that the loose bolts could have been a very serious problem and could have caused a wheel to come off. We have not had any problems since, that has been almost 2 weeks now. With the amount of money that Black's charged us to NOT repair something, I would have thought they could've found the issue. Mavis Tire did not charge us a dime to fix it. They simply said please remember us in the future when you need tires or minor maintenance to your vehicle. Mavis Tire has won a very loyal customer. read more

I am a single 67 year old woman who had a flat tire in Pawley's Island, far away from my NC home My friends had already left to go home so I was alone. I spoke to Jason on the phone - he was very professional and helpful and he assured me he'd send someone right out. I thought I'd have to have my spare put on and then follow them to the store for a new tire. Don from Black's in Surfside Beach came out to the condo and replaced my tire with a new one within two hours of when I called. He was so upbeat and pleasant, very professional and such a complete pleasure to work with! He was able to take my debit card payment on the spot which was a great convenience. Needed new tires and saw the Blacks Tire & Auto Service web page. They had a huge selection to fit my vehicle(SUV). Went there Thursday in Surfside Beach and was greeted by Jared. He spent the time to answer my questions and was very helpful making my choice of tires. It was later in the day and the tires I selected had to be delivered but I was able to get an 8 AM appointment the next day. Exceptional service by the entire staff. Had new tires installed, balanced and then a front end alignment and was on my way by 9:20AM. I was more than happy with the costs and would recommend them to everyone. I was so impressed that I decided to make an appointment for the following Monday to have a new set of tires installed on my wife's SUV even though she has quite a few miles of tread life left on her existing tires. I went to the store with a specific tire that I wanted for my vehicle they tried to sell me one of theirs I said no so they said they could get the tear I wanted in about an hour two and a half hours later I'll call back and a different person told me yeah your tires are here they've been here an hour I hadn't received a call so I took my truck back to the store and another 2 and 1/2 hours later I had tires but they did not do the front end alignment as I requested they told me all these things that was wrong with my truck that they couldn't do the alignment until those things were fixed that was going to tack on another 1300 plus more dollars. So with that said I ask why did you put new tires on a vehicle that had all these problems that you stated that I had. They replied well we don't know you have those problems until we get the tires on to do the alignment which it's not true. The vehicle should have been checked for problems before new tires was put on. Let me say I didn't need tires my tires wasn't wearing they had been on my truck for 4 years and I was tired of an all-terrain tire and wanted something with a smoother right. I didn't go there because something was wrong with my truck and was wearing out my tires I went because I wanted a different ride. So I proceeded to take my truck to a different place that works on front ends and there was nothing wrong with my truck. So now there is nothing good to say about Black's tire from me. read more
