This is our favorite BBQ joint in Marion County. Friendly servers, good sweet tea, and good food. I prefer yellow (mustard-based) Potato Salad, and Blacksheep serves the white mayonnaise version instead, but that is merely a personal preference. YUM! Stopped into BlackSheep for a to-go order. The women working at the front were so friendly and helpful. I ordered the 2 meat plate with chicken and pork, mac & cheese and okra. I had to throw in their $.99 banana pudding, which was creamy and delicious. Can't go wrong with coconut cake either. The meat was tender, and all of the food was delicious and tasted freshly prepared. The fried okra was perfectly crunchy. Consider me a repeat customer! read more

We stopped here passing through. The first thing you smell when you step out is BBQ smoke. A good sign. I got the smoked pork sandwich with a side of green beans. The green beans did not appear to have any seasoning in them and were a deep green in color almost like they were not cooked enough. HOWEVER... They were seasoned just right and piping hot. I could have eaten another order. The pulled pork had a nice smoky flavor to it. Service was great. Our server checked on us twice while eating. Before I start.. just know I very seldom post issues here. But I feel this needs to be heard. My wife and I both ordered a 2 meat plate. The beans and potato salad were good but let me tell you. THE RIBS were the ABSOLUTE Worst I've had in my 49 years. (Please see pics.) They were not completely cooked. Couldn't tear them apart. But most they had a god awful sour fowl smell. Like stomach turning. I'm not one to mention food issues or even post but I felt I had to let them know. After letting the woman smell them s the stated. (Oh that's normal, we soak them in vinegar before we cook them.) I am concerned if people ate those today, they may be sick. My wife also ordered the sausage links and they were Pan seared. We tried this place for the first time a few days ago and were very impressed with it. We ordered the chicken, brisket , and sausage and it was all delicious! The potato salad was also top notch and the French fries were great as well. We ordered it to go but we did go inside and the restaurant is so cute and clean the the ladies that were working in the front were very nice, professional and helpful. Went to Black sheep Bbq in Yellville. We had the mega with chicken, brisket, sausage. The chicken was some of the best I've had. My husband loved it all he loved the smoked sausage. The place is very well old fashioned. The service was out of this world. They came to the table introduced them selves made sure we had everything. The best brisket sandwich ever! My husband said it was the BEST he's ever had! The food was served FAST! Sides were very good. We had corn on the cob, Mac n cheese and baked beans. The parking lot was full of cars, that's why we pulled in! Great choice! We will be back! The old fashioned country atmosphere was darling. Checkers game on the front porch and rocking chairs. I would LOVE to write a good review -- the first time we stopped by and got food to go had a delicious meal and we were excited to return to dine in for lunch today (Thursday at 1pm) once we walked in we were told by the waitress she would be right with us when she came back up to the counter she bluntly told us there was a 15 minute wait and the kitchen was closed until 4pm??? This makes absolutely no sense if the hours are posted 11am to 7pm and there are obviously other guests dining in. Let's start with VOTE FOR DONNELLY! This place is great, has that wood shack feel with tons of decor and wonderful BBQ smoke smell inside. The menu has so many options, for kids or adults. We went with a 5 meat sampler and we had favorites: the Ribs were fall off the bone smokey good! The brisket and pulled pork were both also fantastic. Others in our group had burgers, tenderloin and even some jalapeño poppers that were all so delightful! The owner was there and she was walking around making sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed. A+ They have a vegetable bar that you can pick your own veggies to go on your burgers or meals. A+ They had dessert options like banana pudding and brownies that made the kids happy also!! Black sheep was recommended by a local. The parking lot was full. The place was busy. We figured it must be good! It was! We ordered at the counter, got our drinks and waited for our name to be called. While we waited we noshed on their dill and bread and butter pickle chips. I had a smoked chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. They had 3 types of BBQ sauce including sweet, tangy and spicy. I had a different sauce with each bite of my sandwich and they were tasty. My husband got the 3 meat plate with brisket, sausage and chopped chicken that came with 3 sides. The brisket was super tender and sausage was OK. He had lots of leftovers, lots of food. Usually when I've eaten bbq at a store location there usually very stingy with portions... NOT THESE GUYS ... I recommend this he IT burger it will make you feel like your a dirty pig when and if you finish it. They give you very large portions on everything so go really hungry and trust me you'll be over full after you leave. Very good taste and very clean cool looking eatery. Bathroom are one of the first things I look at when trying a new place and there bathrooms were very nice and clean and had SOAP!!!. read more

Brisket is excellent and the sides of corn on the cob and beans were very good. The burger that my dining partner ate was very good and the fries were nice and crispy. I have eaten the ribs in the past and they were not the best. My advice is to stick to the brisket. They know how to do it right and the sauce is available at the table to add as you like.
