I had an extremely disappointing experience with Blackstone Chevrolet that I feel other buyers should seriously take into consideration. I purchased a used vehicle from them at full sticker price. Despite the car being a few years old with visible imperfections on both the exterior and interior, the sales team refused to negotiate at all. While that was already frustrating, I moved forward because I needed a vehicle immediately. At the time of purchase, I was offered a "complimentary" detail, wax, and polish and was told it would only take a few hours. Based on that, I took the car home and scheduled a follow-up appointment on my day off. When I returned for my 10:00 AM appointment, I was suddenly told the service would take the entire day--completely different from what I was originally promised. I dropped my car off at 10 AM and didn't receive any notice until 4:30 PM that it was ready. That alone showed a clear lack of communication and respect for my time. When I came to pick up my car, no one greeted me or offered assistance. I had to ask for my keys myself, and when they were handed to me, I was given no direction as to where my vehicle was located. I walked around the lot trying to find it, only to realize it wasn't there. I had to go back inside--this time with my fiancé--and ask again, only to be told it was at a completely different building. After finally locating my car, I noticed the floor mats were not properly put back. Even worse, two of my personal USB-C cords were missing. When I addressed this, I was told they would "look for them" and have them ready the next day. I explained that I should not have to drive back from Clovis to retrieve items that never should have been removed. Instead of taking responsibility, they offered me a worn, used replacement cord--which was completely unacceptable. I was then told their detailer "has a stack of cords" and they would try to find mine, and the manager offered to meet me in Clovis to return it. Then, to make matters worse, I received a voicemail from my salesperson admitting that my vehicle had actually been taken OFF-SITE to another location for the detailing service--without my knowledge or consent. At no point was I informed that my car would be driven elsewhere, nor was I given the opportunity to approve that decision. This raises serious concerns about transparency, accountability, and trust. As a customer, I entrusted them with my vehicle, and they chose to send it somewhere else without even informing me--then attempted to shift responsibility when issues arose. Between the refusal to negotiate, the misleading information, the poor communication, the lack of professionalism, my personal items going missing, and now the discovery that my vehicle was handled off-site without my consent--this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to think twice. read more

Not a good experience. I was charged $269 just for the inspection, then over $600 for two plastic parts. The repair was supposed to take one day but ended up taking three. When I got my car back, it was filthy. When I commented on that the manager told me they only wash Cadillacs, which made no sense. I also waited more than an hour for a quote to sell my car and never received a follow-up call. I will go to a different dealership next time. read more

I had an appointment for oil change at 9:00am for my 2025 Suburban. it took them 27 minutes just to receive me and hard to believe I spend 2.5 hours waiting, It is totally unacceptable. I am glad I just approved the oil change and deny all the other services they recommended., It would it take them a day or two to do tire rotation and fuel treatment. They did called me numerous times to remind me about appointment like if they were ready....I will really try avoiding going back for service. read more

Lower-Tier dealership with below average service department. Their service department does not offer Shuttle Service or Ride Services at all (Told it was cancelled by GM this month during my last service appt). During purchase their salesman gave an "out-the-door" price which were the words used by me because I actually know sales terms and the price was higher during signing. I let him know what out the door meant and he said taxes didn't apply to out the door price... they need better training. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this location. First, never buy a Chevy, we bought a 2021 Chevy trailblazer that's already breaking down at year 5 with less than 50k miles. Second, never bring your vehicle for maintenance here, talk about unreasonable pricing. We brought our vehicle in just to be quoted $380 for a battery which costs between $150 and $200, plus $80 dollar installation fee (remove a couple knobs and place battery inside), plus $260 diagnostics (connect computer to vehicle, walk through of vehicle). INSANE. It would have costs us over $700 just to have the above completed, thankfully took it to Honesty Automotive on Fowler Avenue where they took care of us for half the price nearly. Predatory car maintenance practices. Wife brought in one vehicle bought from another dealership in San Diego, blamed ECU issue on dealership installed Lo Jack. Said its an after market part and warranty does not cover issue. Charged to remove lo jack device that runs off ACC battery hot wire, so sure, interferes with ECU. 2 years later, 1st, wife brings in a vehicle purchased from this dealer with 100,000 mile dealer warranty, also a 60,000 mile manufacturer warranty. Vehicle has 50,000 miles, technician says 100,000 mile warranty was from old owner and wont honor. 2nd, I just changed cabin air filter and engine air filter one month ago and techs have the audacity to tell her they are both extremely dirty and need replacement along with worn windshield wipers, which I replaced a month ago too. $250 for a diagnostic charge of the battery is old and needs replaced and a bunch of up selling, wanting to charge more than $1100 for the simplest upkeep maintenance. Do better Blackstone Chevrolet dealership/maintenance. I drive Chevy because I firmly believe in the brand, but I will never do business at this dealership again. read more

What is the extended warranty even for??????? Please please please educate not only your sales team but your finance team as well... because right now it's feeling like you're intentionally misleading people. Was SOLD on the extended warranty saying that it'd cover regular maintenance and basically anything other than regular wear and tear examples given tires and brakes. Here I am a year later and service telling me I have 1 more oil change. Why would anyone buy this if that what it is? I was also told I was going to have to pay $200 for diagnostic. They also refused to rotate my tires this last time cus the lug nuts . Mind you I bought this car a year ago. Con , scam, and any other word that define taking advantage of people. My experience was a train wreck of epic proportions, with the office lady setting a new standard for rudeness and unprofessionalism. The wait times felt like an eternity--long enough to grow a beard and contemplate my life choices. Because of the $7,500 rebate going away for some Electric cars in March 2023, and the uncertainty involved, there is great demand to purchase a Chevrolet Bolt EUV. It's a highly rated, reasonably priced electric SUV. After test driving one, it reminded me of my Chevrolet Impala in interior comfort and size, but with a higher drivers vantage point. This car doesn't scream electric car, the interior is the traditional GM configuration and you will feel right at home in it if you currently drive a GM. After a test drive of many EV's, this one had everything that was right for my family. While other dealers were trying to sneak in $5,000 mark ups over Window Sticker price, Blackstone was reasonable in their markup and stated prices up front. I decided to contact them. Ryan Hanson responded to my inquiry and was my Sales Consultant. Ryan treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. He did everything he said he would do, and was the kind of person you shake hands with and trust. He immediately went and took pictures of the vehicle, including sending me a picture of the window sticker, all delivered via text message. He provided all costs for purchase up front, in writing. When I mentioned I had a Corvette as trade in, I sent him pictures, and he got back to me with a price he thought they could offer for trade in. I decided to take a chance that the deal would work out and would drive three hours to Fresno. I asked if Ryan could please charge up the Bolt fully overnight for my probable return drive the next day. I arrived in Fresno an hour early, and filled up the 2002 Corvette with a final tank of Chevron Premium. I took a few pictures and fought to hold back the tears. After 10 years together, it was time to give someone else a chance at the legendary American powerhouse. I will miss the car, but that decade of my life is behind me now. There may yet be another Corvette in my future if the Electric Corvette has round tail lights the way God intended, and the used prices reach my affordability zone. In contrast to other dealerships where you feel like you are being sized up to see how much they can take advantage of you, Blackstone seems calm and low pressure. I am reminded of the famous Chevrolet ad "Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie & Chevrolet". Ryan makes Blackstone seem like the old fashioned Chevy dealer who is a valued part of the community. After looking over the Corvette, Blackstone exceeded the amount they threw out as a ballpark figure in advance. What kind of dealer does that? One who is honest and looking to build a long term relationship with the customer. I did my best to be generous and act in good faith, and they acted in kind. Mutual respect for mutual benefit. As Ryan said, "It's not that hard, it seems obvious to me!" I left some surprises for the next owner- a copy of "All Corvettes are Red" in the back hatch area, along with the Corvette Black Book. I also included a car cover, all documentation, and a list of all the modifications and upgrades to the car from stock. (I also included the original parts in a box except for the shocks, in case they wanted to go back to stock.) Accepting their trade in offer, I next went to meet Tan Chima, Finance Manager, to go sign the paperwork. Tan, like everyone I spoke to at Blackstone, is friendly, quick to offer help, and wants to make sure you are well taken care of. I worked with Tan using their new touchscreen signing system. No more stacks of papers and smudged ink, just e-sign and go. Tan was patient, quickly caught that I made a check out for $3.00 too much, and made sure all documents were signed and in order. It was the fastest I've ever gone through the purchase process, and before I knew it Tan was calling for Ryan to come and take me to the car. Two for two on outstanding employees! Ryan went over the basics, getting me set up with Onstar, the My Chevrolet app, and making sure my new Bolt EUV was as it should be. The car was freshly washed, and I took a few pictures, one of which is included in this review. I started the three hour drive home, and the car was great! Silent, efficient, and with Super Cruise, it drives itself on the freeway. I easily made it the 180 miles home with about 80 miles of charge left. This is the 6th GM vehicle I've purchased, and I've been a loyal customer for life. Some of the Bay Area dealerships were making me lose faith over the years. Blackstone Chevrolet, specifically Ryan Hanson, restored my faith. I will start my future car shopping there first when I next need a car. read more

I don't like posting 1 star reviews, but this photo shows how my car was returned to me after this dealership had my car for 5 months. They didn't have the part needed for the repair for 5 months and refused to provide me with a loaner vehicle during that time. On top of that, while the main repair was covered under warranty, I was still given a bill of $1000 for 4 hours of labor to change some wiring in the engine bay. When I asked for photos and other documentation of the repair the first few months I was repeatedly ignored until the bill came. When I pressed again when the bill was due, I was txted 1 close up grainy photo as "proof" of the additional work completed. The cherry on top is that I they didn't even wash my car because they "didn't know I was coming" even though I was traveling from 4 hours away to get the car and communicated this to them a week prior. I could not directly communicate with anyone because I never got a direct phone number or email and always had dial the main line and leave messages with reception which may or may not have been passed along. When I arrived, they didn't even offer to wash it real quick while I waited, they just gave me the keys and sent me on my way. My car also needed an oil change, something I've had other dealers throw in for free previously. They didn't address it. Overall absolutely terrible experience not only with GM but with this dealer specifically. I would take my car to every other Chevy dealer in California before returning here based on their lack of communication, lack of transparency, and lack of effort to do more than the absolute bare minimum. read more

I should have read reviews before purchasing here. They do hide costs. Everything is signed electronically so really can't read it until they print it after you sign. My 31K vehicle ended up 38K. Went back to ask questions and were told they hide the discounts promised. If you hide from your own company that's a problem. I feel they are doing some shady stuff-buyer beware! i went to the dealership to have my coolant leaking fixed, they said water pump need to be replaced, total would be $1,200.00, to save money, I asked them to change time belt as well. The advisor called me and said to replace time belt, total would come to $1,700.00. I confirmed it on the phone, the advisor explicitly told me $1,700.00 included everything, coolant, water pump and time belt. there was no labor charge for time belt thing, total would be $1,700.00. I sworn to God, I did not lie. When I picked my car and paid at the cashier, they charged me total almost $3,000.00, include labor charge for timing belt which supposed to be free. To start off: I am insanely disappointed with this dealership and both the sales department (Chance and Ryan) and the finance department. Just a couple of weeks ago, this dealer had a chance to sell me a loaded 2023 Corvette Stingray 3LT Z-51 convertible and at first seemed engaged for the first 2 days, but then decided to ultimately blow me off. I went through the finance application with them and, even with my 818 Vantage 3.0 and 846 FICO score, proceeded to tell me that there was really only one financing option available for me, which was with GM Financial for 12% on a 72-month term. After I had told them that was a pretty terrible offer, I asked them to reach out to other lenders since we had already done a hard pull on my credit at that point, but no one seemed to care. Chance at first was pretty engaged, but on his day off I was pawned off to another salesman, Ryan, who basically told me that finance said everyone else they ran denied my application, which was a complete lie. Not only did I have pre-approval from Chase at the time, but he had said Bank of America explicitly said no. I figured this was untrue, so I proceeded with applying on my own via their website and was approved within an hour for the full amount needed to finance the car + tax/title. I called Ryan back and after I sent him my approval letter from BoA he told me finance "miraculously" got a response back saying I was approved. The following day, Chance got back to the office and that was the day I really lost faith in ever working with this dealer again. I tried to get a follow-up on the car and there was nothing but radio silence and excuses the entire day. Did you all at Blackstone think that it wasn't possible for a 33-year-old self-made guy like myself to afford what is some people's dream car so much so that you blew me off like yesterday's garbage? Did you think this was just a pipe-dream for me? Wrong. I finally said forget it and decided to go find a dealer that actually gave a shit about my time and would take me seriously, as I guess Blackstone thought I wasn't truly a qualified buyer. And Blackstone just so you know, I got approved for the entirety of the deal from Bank of America at 5.49% and ended up giving another dealer my business. Note to Blackstone's GM: If you keep treating customers like this, you will keep losing to far superior dealerships. I suggest, if you want to sell more cars, then care about the customer instead of judging the one you just lost. Think twice before buying here. We bought our truck April 2023 and we just left it tonight (Jan 21,2024) in the service department for the 4th time in less than a year for the same issue last three times. You will put your family, time and money at risk from vehicles that are not checked throughly and certified as a they claim. The service rep the 2nd time attempted to charge me for repairs needed which was covered under my warranty. If it wasn't because I actually went back to read my contract, they would of charged me. I wish I would of read the reviews prior to buying. It's unfair and unfortunate their service department is incapable of detecting the issues and resolve as needed. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Do yourself a favor and read all the negative reviews, you will notice a pattern of similar issues like ours. read more

I had a horrible experience with getting my car repaired. First they told there wasn't anything wrong with my car even though it made a huge rubbing noise every time I went over a bump or turned. My boyfriend took the mechanic on a test drive and he heard the noise and told me it could possibly be the strut. The front left strut was replaced but, the car started making the same noise again before I even left the parking lot. The mechanic didn't want to listen when I said I believe it could be the ball joint and continued to tell me nothing is wrong with my car but, as we all know cars don't make that kind of noise whenever going over a bump. I'm extremely disappointed with the care I received. Not only did I have to pay the warranty deductible but, my car still isn't fixed. I was all so told my tire pressure was checked and air was put in the tires but, the tires were all the same and under pressure when I dropped it off and the same pressure when I picked it up. read more

Had to wait a week for an appointment. Brought 1500 Silverado in to have 4WD fixed. Locked. Last time was reprogramming. Brent stated a $200 estimate. I receive a long list of maintenance to be done. Not what I asked for. Who pays for the tech time? $5000 in maintenance...ridiculous. $500 to replace 2 quarts of trans fluid in transfer case. Took YouTube guy 10 minutes. Other stuff just as outrageous. Sensor bad on 4WD. Part shipped from Reno. I'm fine with that. $550 to replace a part that "costs" $148. Took ten minutes...$400 in LABOR???. I knew I paid for the maintenance list. I get the truck back and the AC now does not work. I texted Brent. No response (been four days...didn't expect to hear back either). Never coming back to your place again. Very disappointing experience. UPDATE: They broke the AC Condensor when they replaced the vacumn pump. $1600 to have it repaired somewhere else. I will never go there again. I phoned Blackstone Chevrolet last week, explained the problem I am having with my Chevy Volt, asked if they have a technician who is knowable about Volts (they said "yes"), and made an appointment, as they suggested, for the following week. Brought my car in at the appointed time (8:30 a.m.), but got a phone call in the late afternoon of that day saying they were busy and unable to look at my car. They asked if they could keep the car overnight, and I said "yes." Next day I phoned them four separate times to ask for an update on my car, got only voice mails and no calls back, and finally went back in person to ask for my car to be returned to me if it was not being worked on at that moment. They returned the car to me. It was two days, and no service despite setting up an appointment a week earlier. I will never go there again. read more
