They sell cars, literally as soon as they are purchased from bank auctions, etc. the cars have nothing but problem suspension motor mounts. Nothing was ever looked at when I purchased my vehicle however, I had to take it back several times total they had had it for about a month and a half of me had just purchasing the car. Sure they give you one of their other crappy cars to drive which one left me stranded the other two had zero suspension. The suspension was gone. The other car went through gas. The other vehicle smell my cat urine you're going to get a car from them which they are very friendly. Take it to your mechanic before you sign. Anything I kept taking my car back. Parts were put on promised repairs that weren't done and I've had to put in over $3000 worth of work. read more

Family member bought the moldy 2010 CTS that Nicole T. described. When test driving the car it had green mold and moisture in the car but they said they would detail it before he drives it off the lot. It got semi-cleaned and within the 30-day warranty it got taken back for moisture in the trunk and water leaking through sunroof. They said they fixed it and nobody paid any mind to it for about a year now until a storm recently passed & I suggested doing yearly sunroof drain maintenance on his cadillac and discovered 2" of water in the trunk and the rear sunroof drain tubes totally unplugged and draining into the trunk!!! All is good now but had to share that place is bad news. read more

Went in tonight to Shaw's Auto Sales after having my eye on a 2010 Cadillac CTS they have listed at being at their dealership for the last 36 days. Immediately after sitting in the driver's seat and going to put my seatbelt on, I noticed the seat belt was soaking wet and had white marks on it. I tried to look past that and continued on my test drive but then noticed my seat was wet too soaking thru to my jeans. I decided to pull over at the gas station to take a better look at the vehicle (it was already dark at 6pm). And to my suprise the WHOLE inside of the car had severe water damage and MOLD coming down from the windows and sunroof. I can't believe a dealership would show a vehicle in that condition it has NEVER once been vacuumed and the pictures they have displayed are old. EWWW what a waste of time!! read more

Financed a beautiful Silverado from this place, having it for the first week had to take it back due to check engine light coming on. They fixed it no problem. Now not even a year of having it I'm having transmission problems and now have my lifters going bad. It all makes sense now why they recommended me nog to get the warranty I've always had gotten on my other vehicles. Very friendly and helpful when they are working for the sale but once the vehicle is sold it's nothing but continues problems. One star just for there customer service in the beginning. FRAUDULENT SALES TACTICS Salesman and the owners are giving out false information. We went in and were told that we could hold a vehicle if we put $100 down. He also said that the hold money would be refunded or put towards the car as a down payment, if we chose to pick that certain vehicle. Well we were not able to buy a car since we did not get our tax return this year. So when we went back to pick up the money we put as a hold, the part owner Larry Shaw slammed his fists on his desk and started yelling at my fiance. I walked in to see what was going on and that's when Larry Shaw got in my face. LARRY SHAW Literally stood ONE STEP IN FRONT OF ME like he was going to hit me. Seriously! I could smell his nasty breath! He was that close! Disrespect to the max here! I asked him to take a step back and he refused. I was totally calm and didn't deserve the treatment LARRY SHAW gave. There are no signs ANYWHERE saying that if you put a hold deposit down it will not be refundable. We didn't even sign anything that mentioned that either! We were told by THEIR EMPLOYEE that it WOULD BE REFUNDED if need be. But of course they won't take fault for an employee giving FALSE INFORMATION.THANK GOD WE REQUESTED A RECEIPT OF THE MONEY WE PUT DOWN FOR THE HOLD....! LOOKS LIKE A LAWSUIT IS OUR ONLY RESOLUTION....INTIMIDATION IS NOT A GOOD SALES TACTIC. STAY AWAY! TURN AROUND AND GO SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU ARE RESPECTED. I was shopping for a car, my credit is not very good at all, so I was limited. Saw a car I liked and shopped around. I thought I found a good deal elsewhere - I was wrong. Luckily no harm was done and I was back here at Shaws due to the great service I got the first time. I did end up paying a bit more - but this car was 2 years newer - Win! Also, it was due for a timing belt change according to the miles and I was willing to pay for that and these guys totally made it right. The car ended up needing some other things done and it was all done at the same time with no cost to me aside from the timing belt that I agreed to. So far so good. Definitely not your typical used car dealership. You are not going to please everyone, but these guys do what they can and that goes a long way in my book. I will definitely refer them to others. *****W*A*R*N*I*NG***** Seriously bad customer service. Bad mechanics. And bad all the way around. Had my truck for almost two years. Bought the warranty at time of sale. My truck was in there all the time. I am now in process to take legal action against them. Larry is a joke. Mark is a shark. Their whole office is horrible. There's a lot of lemons in this lot and once you sign and find that out, you're stuck for 48-72 months!!!! 4 engine/ repairs later 1 a/c compressor later 1 computer replacement later 1 wiring harness later 1 fuse box later 1 steering column later 4 catalytic converters later They tell you every time that it should be fine now. The last thing Mark said was, "if you go strait there and back, you should be fine" Wth they had my truck for 2 months and now I SHOULD be fine??? I have bought several cars over the years and not one of them came close to how wonderful the staff is here. No one would help me, I lost my car and needed another one quickly. I talked on the phone with Jeremy and the next day Mark was able to put me in a car. I was told no at least 10 times, their service is outstanding. I would buy a car from them any day! I was sure I had written a review for Shaw's, but I guess not. Ended up out there for my husband's truck about a year and a half ago. They are very friendly, extremely easy to work with. They have a great selection of autos to choose from. So then my aunt needed a car a couple weeks ago and we drove out there again. Worked with Mark a second time and got the same excellent service. Both cars have been great, with no problems. I highly recommend Shaw's and will go back when we are in the market for another used car. read more

We bought our first car from them and it couldn't have been a better experience. With our second, not so much. They sold us a car with issues from the start. It was blowing white smoke out of the tailpipe, a sign of gasket issues. We asked about it on the lot when looking at it and were told "oh it's just because it's been sitting for a bit". After buying the car, the problem persisted, we brought it back and they "fixed" it. The problem seemed to be solved for a couple of months until the head gaskets blew. We asked shaws about our options. We were told that our only option was to have them fix it for $1200, which they were nice enough to finance into our monthly payment, even though they clearly sold us a bad car. Now, getting the car fixed has been even more of a nightmare. It took them weeks to even have a time for us to bring it in. After finally bringing it in, they have had it for nearly 4 weeks! This includes a bunch of phone calls they never call back, tons of attitude and lack of professionalism. For example, our car is finally done today. I called this morning to see if it was ready. He said yes. I asked if they knew what time I could pick it up. His response was "it's ready when we call you". How rude. You've had our car for almost a month, I expect a little more courtesy. Bottom line, I wouldn't buy a car here. And if you do, make sure you thoroughly inspect the car. If you suspect any kind of issue, don't buy it. If you do, or you end up with an issue, good luck and expect lots of attitude. read more

He asked what i was looking for in a car and worked with me with no hassle to get the car i loved for the price i was happy with. There are many used car dealers, and you never know what your really buying. This is not the case when buying from Mark. They know the full history and only purchase the best used card. Despite the happy reviews , I am not a happy purchaser! Don't trust this dealership! They are dishonest and make you think you are getting a good deal by marking the price of the car up then offer you a lower price. They told me the clutch was replaced and the car was completing mechanically sound! Ha! I have had to replace the clutch, water pump and the tires. The car started burning oil and they said that was normal. The tires had bare tread on them just enough to make it legal to sell. Two weeks ago on a Monday I purchased a suv . the customer service was great. I loved that it was quick, easy and friendly. But when its too good to be true it usually is. Two days later my SUV broke down. I called them and tried to have them come get it. They told me they would work on something but didn't. I called Friday and they told me they would charge me 150$ to have it towed if it was something silly. I explained to them if it is under warranty why would I be charged. The owner continued to imply that I just needed gas or it was a dead batterie. I explained it wasn't. Its now a week and a few days later and they still have not fixed it. "Its being worked on" they say. Horrible business manner. At first I was very happy with them and telling family and friends to purchase there. Now I'm not so sure I would recommend them. We will see when and if they give me my SUV back before i lose my job. (Which they don't seem to really care about anyways) read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM SHAWS AUTO. I purchased my car with them. It had trouble almost instantly. I purchased a warranty. They kept the money and never bought my warranty. When I finally caught on they purchased the warranty for me only to find out the warranty covers absolutely nothing. I took my car to get it smoged and not only did it fail, I was told that the parts where tampered with. There were parts on my vehicle that didn't even belong to my vehicle. They do not return phone calls and they will scam you any way they can. read more

The process of buying a vehicle from Shaws is very easy and fast. I bought a truck from them after trading a car in to them as a down payment. They gave me a fairly decent price for the trade in but I could have gotten more. The truck they sold me has had nothing but problems with it. They never even cleaned it before selling it to me. They didn't do a safety check. They didn't change the fluids. They didn't even take a sticker off from the previous owner. It ended up having a cracked radiator, bad alternator, bad thermostat, leaking transmission, completely plugged air filter, and other little things. When I call them for repairs they act like I'm a nuisance (they know they sold me an over priced lemon). They say they need to call me back, they never do. You would be better off buying a new car after putting tons of money into a unknown used car. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from them but others may have a better experience.
