Good thing I wasn't looking for plutonium or needing penicillin -- the cows would have come home more than once. True value had three types, so forgetting the amounts I bought two bags of each. Turns out I only needed one half of one bag. But the two young fellows were very helpful, were of good cheer and humor -- the pleasures of youth -- stay young guys. The prices of not only the chips was very reasonable but the other items I picked up and fiddled with. Flashlights, plungers, zip ties, hardware store stuff.

He proceeded to take a deep breath, threw the box cutter (I believe) down and said what is it. That threw me for a second. I just said you know what never mind. I walked off. And always buying air filters. You never have to search around trying to find someone to help you out. There is always a ton of workers willing and ready to help you find whatever you may need. And they're always friendly. And humorous. Most days when you drive down Dorchester you can't miss the mannequin out front dressed up and holding a sign. I enjoy using this local ACE shop over Lowe's and Home Depot bc it's smaller and always has what I'm looking for.

Northern Tool is a neat place to find the niche tool or part that you can't find at the bigger box…read morestores. It doesn't have the breadth of selection of Lowe's or home depot, but in has a much greater "depth" for what it does have. As an example, you won't find as many chainsaw options here as you would at Lowe's, but Northern Tool has the replacement filters, spark plugs, mufflers, etc for the equipment they do carry, which makes it an invaluable resource to the owners of things like Stihl chainsaws or blowers. It's pretty fun to just walk around and window shop. Workers are very nice and willing to answer any questions, and i think they totally understand the male desire to not ask for help ;)
