The charming dining room is clean and filled with authentic historical artifacts (not that Cracker Barrel "let's make this nostalgic" style...you know what I mean). The waitress knows the history of the area very well and has stories to share. You can get a filling sandwich with sides or a full meal and really enjoy the atmosphere. The 7 mile drive west of Port Royal to this spot takes you along a valley of neat farms nestled against the Tuscarora Mountain. Totally worth the drive for the food and the view.
