We all enjoyed our food and server. We worried at first, because the sign inside the door said "lunch with reservations." We'd just looked them up on the internet, and there was no mention of a need for reservations. But our server greeted us with a smile and sat us at a table far enough away from another group, the noise level wasn't so bad. Our meals were delicious at a fair price. Food was great. Really good Philly cheesesteak, nice fresh salad. There was a food special for $2 off sandwiches. We waited at the bar 20 minutes for Teyona to serve us - or even acknowledge us. And that happened after a regular pointed us out at the bar right behind her. We got our drinks quickly and they were good. The food was hot, quick and delicious. Wife had steak wrap and it was good. I asked for a refill on my cocktail but that never arrived. She was cleaning up and chatting with the regulars but barely acknowledged us the whole hour we were there. At times we didn't think she knew we were there. Then she cashed other guests out for 20 minutes while I waited with my credit card to pay. Almost walked out but that's not me. Then would not honor the special. When I complained about the service she offered us free drinks. We would have paid for but never got it. Won't be back. read more

Went to Snappers's for dinner but didn't stay. We sat on the bar side and were ignored by the wait staff. It was rather strange because they weren't busy. We could see the sever standing at the bar scrolling on her phone. After 15 minutes we got up and walked out. Too bad, this used to be a great local bar& Restaurant. Horrible. read more

Service needs improvement. We dined in the bar side of snappers. There is not a hostess on that side , so we sat in a booth. Waited about 10 minutes for the server to notice us. She was pre occupied with a patron sitting at the bar. Once we ordered, our food came out quickly. However, the squash in the salad was icy in the center and quite mushy. Hope things improve here. Had never been to Snappers but had heard good things, so when we were out and about we stopped in for a late lunch. It was busy. We sat ourselves. Our waitress came over and placed menus on our table and said "what are you drinking?" A guest at our table said "It sure is busy in here for this time of day. Are you having a party?" And our waitress snapped at her, "it's St. Patrick's day. Cmon. Cmon. I'm very busy. What do you want to drink?" Since it was clear she didn't have time to wait on us, we went down the street and had a lovely meal elsewhere. And I'm so glad we did! Looking at the menu now, I see that it's expensive even by today's standards, and we were happy to relax where people weren't screaming at us to hurry up or get out of the way. Perhaps this waitress assumed that since we were older, we wouldn't order the expensive appetizers and drinks her other tables would. Or perhaps she talks to everyone like that, whether they're over 80 or not. Skip the poor treatment and fuss, and go next door. read more

So we finally made it back to Snappers Bar & Grill we decided on an early meal & we are seated in the Lounge! It's a little noisier but not to the point where you can't hold a conversation or enjoy your dinner! My wife ordered the Cheeseburger Wrap Black Angus hamburger, lettuce, tomato, pickles American cheese. and mayo wrapped in flour tortilla with Sweet Potato Fries I ordered the Bacon Jam Shrimp Burger 7 oz. Black Angus burger with fried shrimp, bacon jam and gouda cheese. Served on Brioche Roll with lettuce and tomatoes with Onion Rings Dara our server was very pleasant and hospitable and helped us decide with the intriguing menu items! Got the itailian grinder on the bar side and it was so good and big! Also their fig mule was delicious. Great meal for a good price

First two sets of silverware - dirty. Crab cake - mostly filler. Petite filets - overcooked, not tender. Server did not check once after serving food. French fries were good. Food is decent for the money. They have clams on the half shell, which is hard to find and yummy. Ambiance is ok. Servers are friendly and attentive. Some interesting alcohol drink selections. Heard they were bought out by new management. It could use an upgrade in food and ambiance. But it is a solid 3 star as it is. However, until it is upgraded, if it will be, I wouldn't eat there again. read more

I'm not sure what's going on with these reviews - I was hesitant based off of them and the type of restaurants our coworkers usually pick, but I was so wrong. First, we started with the mulligatawny soup which is apparently a Seinfeld themed soup with chicken and curry. I got a small cup because again, I was hesitant, but I literally could have eaten a bowl of it for lunch it was so flavorful and tasty. I'll have to figure out how to make it at home I'll be dreaming about it. I also got the beet salad and I was impressed with the plating and the ingredients. It was basically a superfood bowl and the dressing was delicious. Service was fantastic and the place was clean and welcoming. I will absolutely be back for a good lunch, especially if they have that soup on the menu! read more

This was my first time here. My wife and I had been into the bar area before, but never the dining room. We had reservations for a large group (11 people, I believe) and were seated very quickly. Overall, the service was quite good. There were several mistakes made, but they were adequately remedied. There was a confusion over the specials menu, and one member of our party got something totally different than what he had ordered. There were a couple of other smaller mistakes as well, but nothing egregious. Food was tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they got. Appetizers came in a timely fashion and our server was good about keeping drinks refreshed. Prices were not terrible. It was a fairly quiet atmosphere. You could not hear any noise from the bar side of the restaurant. I think that my wife and I would definitely give it another try at some point. Overall, a good experience. read more

TBH, IT'S ABOUT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE... If you work there you have to listen to Tom disrespect his wife Athena and the other employees and sometimes he'll go off swearing in Greek. He's not really a good person. He lost 2 really amazing chefs and THEY WERE CERTIFIED, not the I run the kitchen so I'm a chef type of guys. One was named Nick and I'm not sure what he ended up doing down the road, I think he went back to Snappers honestly, and the other guy was Tony and he went to some Italian Restaurant where things seemed to be much classier. They also had this badass bartender named Tom who had an outgoing personality, so much so that he could light up a room. Things were a lot better when Gus was around. He was an elder Greek man that would come into the bar and order one shot and one beer and he'd sit there for a good bit of time just soaking in the ambience. He'd then come back to the kitchen and bring A REAL, LIVE SKINNED GOAT into the back of the building and chop it up. I've never seen something like that until him, and he was one of a kind when it came to culinary arts, not just having a knife in your hand. He was a master like no other. There is an ongoing pattern in these comments. We all see what we see. You'd be better off going up the street to Sals and get yourself a 10 or 11 dollar sub and it's like 1ft and a half long. read more

We arrived at around 6:30 PM on a Friday evening. The parking lot was full but it turned out everyone was at the bar. Surprisingly, the restaurant side of the building was almost empty and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly. She brought out bread and took our drink orders. I ordered a rib-eye, and my wife a shrimp and scallops over rice dish. The portions were large, well prepared and presented, and more importantly, delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Snappers. Their service was quick, the drinks were cold and the food was great. We might leave some room for dessert next time we are there. read more

Kept reading different reviews of local spots after staying the night here on the way home to DC from Round Top skiing. Landed on Snappers after it just seemed like they had the biggest and best menu. I was glad we did! The food really turned out to be quite delicious. I had the crab cakes with steak, and we also got the pork rib appetizer which was good. My steak was overcooked for medium, and that seems to be a trend. The snapper fish my partner got was also dry/overcooked, ironic given it's the titular dish! Service was really good though, and overall the food was pretty decent. I would try somewhere else next time I'm in town as it wasn't lifechanging food, but you won't get a bad meal here. read more

I've drove by this place a million times, and FINALLY STOPPED. We ate here with a party of four. We dined in the dinning room at first we weren't sure if they were oPen and finally the waitress came too sit is she was short handed since the hostess didn't arrive for the shift. We eat here almost every time we visit Mechanicsburg. The menu is varied, everything we've tried has been great, and even when the current workforce situation has rendered everyone scrambling, they work really hard to be solicitous to their customers needs. Didn't even get to try the food because we were NEVER EVEN SERVED!! Waited for 50 minutes even though dining room was empty, then had NOBODY EVEN OFFER DRINKS!! Never in my life have I even been so ignored! As we were starving and being ignored, they constantly visited tables around us to chat. I literally looked every waitress in the eyes and they walked past like it was nothing!! They even looked happy when we got up to go! Maybe we ordered the wrong things but the food here lacks on many levels. The nachos are subpar, little flavor, it says jalapeños but I didn't taste or see any. Few chips and loads of lettuce. Husband ordered Cajun shrimp and he said it was the most bland meal he's ever had. I ordered the mushroom chicken sandwich and it had zero flavor. The mushrooms came out of a can and just dumped onto the sandwich. I can tell the difference when it's sautéed and out of a can. Very disappointing. The only upside to my meal was the chicken was cooked well and the sweet potato fries were good. To top all of this, the food is way over priced. You do not get what you pay for. Found this quaint little place in Downtown Mechanicsburg PA. Had the Cod sandwich. The fish was cooked perfectly. You can tell that they keep the oil fresh and at the correct temperature in the fryer! The bun was a good choice for the sandwich. Also had the Calamari which was freshly cut and had an excellent coating on them. Nicely spiced and not to much breading. The side sauces were very good.
