I never received a single phone call, nor did they increase his food at any point, when they claimed he'd been eating well with no issues - they believe the problem was either worms or too much play. (My dog tested clean for worms, and runs 40+ miles a week without experiencing these issues at home.) I will absolutely not be leaving my dogs in their care again, and would advise against anyone else leaving their dogs there as well. Later edit: I see that the owner has responded. I obviously took my dog to the vet same day - there were no underlying issues. While I understand her need to attempt to deflect, in this case, I would say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Form your own opinions.

It's hard to find…read morelocally owned businesses where the entire staff has as strong of a passion for what they do as the owner, but Active is that type of place. Alex cultivates a culture where people actually get excited to come to work every day. Our dog Lincoln has been getting picked up from Active for 3 1/2 years (since he was a little pup) and there's not been a day where we doesn't wait at the front door excited to see who is picking him up. He's learned vital social skills and always feels at home. This is also the only place we feel comfortable boarding him, as they make him feel safe. If he wants to go in the crate, awesome - it's there for him. If he wants to stay up and stretch the legs with friends, that's cool too. My only advice is, if you're lucky enough to send your fur-babe here, parting ways will be the hardest thing emotionally (both on you and your pup) because this place will quickly become an extended family for you both. Please bring Active to every city, specifically Denver, because every pup deserves a second home as passionate and warm as this place.

Working with Lilli gave me the knowledge and confidence to train Lazlo in a way I didn't think was possible! Lilli's kindness, humor and straightforward approach helped us better understand the causes of Lazlo's behavior and work with him on adjusting it. Our pup Winnie finally had her trial day here today (Tuesday) and we've been happy with our…read moreexperience so far! We wanted Winnie to have her trial day this week since we're planning to board her this weekend while we're out of town. We met both Jennifer and Jake (the owners) and they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! I called on Monday to schedule our trial day and Jennifer emailed me the paperwork right away. I was thrilled we were able to get Winnie in the next day! Some things that stood out to me: they have someone stay overnight at the facility with the dogs when you board them. This makes me feel more comfortable leaving Winnie with them! They also ask that you bring 1. Extra food and 2. Something that smells like home to make your dog more comfortable (only when boarding). That way if an emergency arises and they end up needing to keep your pup longer, it's no problem! Even the part timers were great with Winnie and seemed to genuinely love dogs. We were worried about leaving her for the trial day, but the guy who was there when we picked her up said she did great, which we were happy about. After her trial day I feel more comfortable leaving Winnie in their capable hands. Thank you for making this dog mom feel more at ease about leaving her fur baby!
