This was, without question, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I have never left a restaurant without eating my meal, but that's exactly what happened at Blair's. They charge for bread and butter, which is perfectly fine, but the bread appeared to be reheated and was burned on the bottom. The "butter" didn't even taste like butter--it seemed more like margarine. The olives we ordered tasted like they came straight from a grocery store jar. The calamari was even worse. It had a strong, foul fishy odor, tasted like it had been pre-cooked and reheated, and had the flavor of old frying oil. We couldn't even swallow the first bite. We ordered the tagliatelle after the server described it as similar to carbonara. Whatever it was, it was completely inedible. We also ordered the Penne Ragu Bolognese, and I honestly have no idea what the chef was thinking. The meat sauce had a strange flavor and texture, and again, it was not something we could eat. To make matters worse, the dish the Bolognese was served in was chipped. I have never been served food in a chipped dish at any restaurant. At that point, we asked for the check and left. Based on the quality and condition of the food--especially the calamari--I would not be surprised if someone got sick eating there. Save your money and spend it at a restaurant that cares about the quality of its food and the experience of its customers. This place felt more interested in taking your money than serving a decent meal.

Pepperoni, Jalapeno & Hot Honey Pizza - 7.5/10

Visited this spot for a GNO with 3 of my best girls. We are all local, but had never tried this spot before so we wanted to give it a go. We had made reservations, but I don't think it was absolutely necessary, given the time we went (Pretty Early Dinner). There were less than a handful of parties at the restaurant. Anyways, upon arriving we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, which we decided to try al fresco dining for our date. We were so glad that we did too because little did we know their back patio seating area was absolutely gorgeous! I wish we took more photos inside that area, but unfortunately, me and my friends are NOT good at that. :) BUT AGAIN - it is so cute and quaint. We loved it. The service was a little more than fair. I wish they were a little more attentive given there weren't that many patrons while we dined, but it's alright. It wasn't too bad. The people who did interact with us were kind and we appreciated that aspect of it. Now the food! We started with some bread and butter (didn't upload a pic), which wasn't anything special. And we also ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. Was slightly disappointed because the toasted bread was EXTRA toasty to the point that it was burnt a little too much for us to fully enjoy it. The actual bruschetta part was yummy, but the overpowering taste of char threw it way off, so that's rated a 7/10. We also ordered fries which were also okay, and also rated a 7/10. Our entrees included the meatballs and polenta, the short ribs, the Tonnarelli w/ Pomadoro, as well as the Pepperoni, Jalapeno and hot honey pizza. The meatballs and polenta were good, but not something we really raved about. The Polenta was made really well, but I remember we did comment that the meatballs could be better. We might also have been a little bias as our favorite meatballs are actually made by one of the girls eating with us. This was rated a 7.5/10. Another 7.5/10 rating was the pizza. I currently frequent another pizza spot where I get the exact same order, and this one just didn't hit the same Yummyness level as that spot. I feel like the hot honey could be made better to elevate it's overall taste. The Tonnarelli was also Okay. I want to say it kind of left the same impression as the meatballs, so it was good, but it could have been better. Lastly, me and the girls favorite was the short ribs. Because why wouldn't it be?! It was well cooked and so incredibly tender. The only reason it's ranked a 8.5/10 is just because I have had better, but it definitely was GOOD! I definitely see myself coming here again to try the other dishes. Cheers & HAPPY EATING! :)

Stopped by for happy hour early dinner! Theres a good selection of entrees and appetizers specially made for happy hour, like cheeseburger (without fries), pizza, various pasta dishes, and appetizers. Everything tasted and looked good, though carb heavy if you're looking out for that. The pizza was a little saucy but the bread crust was great and dipable with the provided ranch. Theres an outdoor seating area in the back as well as a large indoor area. Restrooms are nice. We parked on the street, just read the signs.

Such a nice relaxing place with a great ambience! You can sit either in the back patio which has such a quiet atmosphere or inside where the lighting is perfect for a nice dinner date. The food is delicious and honestly at a reasonable price. Most dishes are shareable and the flavors are exquisite. The service is also very welcoming and efficient, if not for the little wait from time to time for the main courses.

Market Salad and bread with salted butter - bread was too seedy and dry for me.

Stopped by at around 5:30PM--lovely ambience and very friendly service. Chanel was especially sweet and attentive. Food-wise, nothing really stood out to me: *Market salad - Pretty good. Mostly tasted like a regular Caesar with just occasional hints of seasoning. *Bread and salted butter - dry, very seedy bread; butter didn't add much. I didn't like the caraway seeds. *Pea gnocchi - dense gnocchi with light pea flavor and not enough sauce. *Bolognese pasta - something about the flavor didn't sit right with me. There's a unique ingredient that I couldn't put my finger on, but I ended up eating anyway since it was the most savory out of the two past dishes we ordered. Nice spot to meet a friend, but I don't see myself coming back.

If you're looking for outstanding pizza, look no further. The crust on their pizza is phenomenal. The best pizza in the area in my opinion. The Fried Calamari is a Crispy Perfection. For an appetizer, the Fried Calamari was a must try, and it did not disappoint. It was incredibly fresh and perfectly crispy without being greasy. It was an excellent start to the meal. I also enjoyed an Aperol Spritz, and it was perfectly mixed refreshing, crisp, and the ideal balance of bitter and sweet. 10/10 recommend.

Had a fantastic dinner on their charming patio last week. I loved their mushroom gnoccheti, which actually had a really good amount of mushrooms - not like some other Italian restaurant that feel like placing 5 slices of mushrooms on top of pasta is enough. Will be back for more!

It was very cute! We got the gnochetti shitake & oyster pasta, bruschetta, and pene bolognese. The food was good! I think that the other location may be slightly better however. The patio was very nice and spacious.

Came in on an early Saturday evening as we were looking to try someplace new (to us; don't know if it's NEW) and we're glad we did! Cute big open room, patio in the back, staff is helpful with suggestions. We shared the meatballs in polenta, I had gnochetti with sausage, kale and pecorino, hubby had penne ragu bolognese. This is great pasta, which they make on site daily. $25 corkage but why not? We'll definitely go back!

Went to Blair's on a Thursday afternoon for their happy hour and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. The restaurant itself the decor is beautiful, dimly lit, giving off romantical vibes. There was actually a lot of groups and couples and families at the restaurant which was nice to see. They also have an outdoor patio, which is really nice and cute as well. A lot of candles nicely decorated. My friend and I got a glass of white wine off of their happy hour menu, which was delicious crisp refreshing and we also got some of their appetizers. We started off with their olives, which were amazing. I love olives, and these olives were super delicious. Very flavorful. We also got the bruschetta which was amazing. I don't like raw tomatoes, and I tried it and I ate it all. It was well seasoned very fresh. The bread was amazing and thick cut of bread that held up the bruschetta well and we also had their garlic fries, which were also delicious. Lastly, my friend and I both got pastas which are homemade every day and it was amazing. Now, when it comes to the service, the waiter that served us was awesome. He was kind he was attentive. He was on top of his service and it was a nice. Definitely coming back to Blair's again and would highly recommend it.

Glassell Park is a hidden neighborhood in Los Angeles, anyway, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you might zip right past W&S, as we did. Parking is hit and miss, but there are side streets and you will find a space if you give yourself an extra 15 minutes before you come. The neighborhood is mysterious to me, sort of pricey grunge & hipster, iykwim. But! Once you are inside, you are in a completely different world. Bright, clean, genteel, muted, with dappled sunlight dripping through various apertures and alighting in a soft glow here and there on shining metal tables. It's beautiful. Some catchy upbeat contempo-pop music streamed steadily at just the right volume overhead. I found myself resisting the temptation to get up and dance. There are several rooms from which to choose, but I wanted to be seated on the wine-red suede banquette that gave me a view of the whole restaurant and out onto the tree-canopied street. From the time we arrived to the moment we left about an hour later, we were showered with warm smiles and attentive service. And the food? Exquisite. See my pictures. It was hard to choose. One tiny disappointment was they were out of the biscuits that I wanted to start with, but I enjoyed the crusty tender Clark Street bread slices served with warm creamery butter instead. It only got better from there. The two bowls we ordered were filled with fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, topped with an egg prepared as we requested, i.e., over medium. The portions are modest and it was all so good, we didn't take anything home. We ordered coffee and were brought two tall steaming mugs of Americano, smooth, dark, and delicious. Best of all was the Lemon Lavender cake, a seasonal specialty. Honestly, it might be one of the best, moistest, most flavorful and elegant cakes I have ever had. So fantastic, that I just ordered some lavender buds (if I don't collect them from our garden) to replicate it at home. I don't drink much alcohol but if I did, I would head here for one of their experiences or tastings -- they have a formidable list. Check all this out. And hurry if you want to have Lemon Lavender cake.

Everyone also didn't feel particularly welcoming, from the hostess to the waitress (no smiles). Thankfully, we were seated outside for some fresh air, although the warm murky smell still lingered a bit outdoors. The menu seem fairly limited since nothing really stood out to me as especially exciting. I've studied the menu prior before going, and was only looking forward to their burger, but they didn't have it during dinner apparently. While the dishes were descripted very well on the menu, there was no depth in flavors. I'm talking about the pork belly, lamb chops, tartare, Spanish octopus, and especially the seasonal pasta. I'm happy that it wasn't overly salty, but overall the food tasted mediocre and felt a bit basic. I'm only saying this because I could make it myself, at least the lamb, fatty pork belly, and pasta. Portions were also on the small side. Service was a bit slower as it took some time to get seated and receive our food, and one of our dishes was forgotten until we reminded the staff after already finishing most of the meal. On the positive side, we were able to find easy street parking about a block away, and the restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance that would probably be great for a chill dinner with some wine. However, my group left still feeling very hungry and unsatisfied. To be fair, we came in hungry, and the portions and long wait didn't help.

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.

The food pairs perfectly with the wine, and everything is genuinely mind-blowing to the tastebuds. The decor is meticulously and intentionally placed and makes the place feel so cozy. Whoever designed this restaurant is a true genius and perfectionist. They have a comprehensive multi-page wine menu that lists taste profiles and origins. I know nothing about wine, but if you're a wine snob, I'm sure you'll find great joy in choosing the right wine for you. The highlight of the experience was the staff working there. Emily and Alfredo are so very welcoming and kind. It's probably the best service I've received at a restaurant and I truly cannot overstate just how phenomenal they are. They went the extra mile to make us feel at home. On top of that, even though we've only been there a handful of times over the course of a year, they remembered us and even where we were visiting from. Thank you Emily and Alfredo!

The service was incredibly friendly and our winetender was very knowledgeable. She walked us through five different wines and explained the flavors and pairing suggestions in a way that was easy to understand. There was also a customer at the bar who was very friendly and showed us pictures of her wine adventures. She even recommended visiting Sonoma or Temecula for future wine tasting trips. We ended up choosing a red wine to bring to dinner and it was perfect. We would love to come back again the next time we are in Pasadena.

Ordered 5 à la carte rolls and each roll came out on time with little to no lag time between each. Also big bonus, the rolls were wrapped in a way where it was difficult for the fish to drop out. This made it super easy and clean to eat.

It needed some sauce on top in my opinion. Ikura & salmon - it had WAY too much wasabi inside and I normally love wasabi. I honestly couldn't even enjoy the roll. Also it was about $3 extra for this roll only to have 5 pieces of ikura at the top Toro - this was NOT toro...it was minced lean tuna with scallions....kinda diabolical to call it toro. Scallop - it honestly tasted like nothing to me. Normally I can taste the scallop. Crab - too much mayo and mixed with imitation crab because I saw some pink on top. Lobster - too much mayo and didn't taste like much. Spicy tuna - not spicy. I shouldn't have gotten this since we got the crispy rice already. yellowtail - I didn't try this but my bf said I didn't miss out on much. I will say their fish to rice ratio is good but their fish quality is just not there. And on top of that, prices are more expensive than kazunori. I remember liking their original location so I'm super shocked at this experience. Service from the staff and chef were attentive and nice, hence the 1 star given. Street parking is pretty easily found.
