I was pleasantly surprised with my first order how fresh and plentiful the meals were. But was less enchanted with the taste after several weeks of meal deliveries. Quantity was plentiful, and could feed a family of 3-4 people. Based on that alone, I'm giving them 5 stars. However, my review is based on taste. I was hoping after seeing that they are a catering service, that does daily meal deliveries, that the meals would be from their actual cooking the meals (like Cuisine Unlimited) what I received were meals that were put together with store bought ingredients. Example store bought rolls, salad mix, frozen vegetable, pre-made desserts etc... The food is tasty enough, but I can go to the store and put the same meal together myself cheaper. What you are paying for is food delivery, and the convenience of everything put together so that when you get home everything is ready. I haven't tried their truck. Actually I have never seen their truck out and about, but would definitely give the truck a try. read more

I ordered from this company via instagram during the partial shutdown due to covid. They are putting out a menu for 5 days each week. You can choose whatever days. 3 servings for $30 and 6 servings for $50. We got the Kailua pork which can with pineapple, rice, macaroni Salad and a small coconut cake. The pork was super good. I have seen Blake's at multiple food truck rallys, and this time I finally decided to give it a try. I am really glad I did too. The staff was really nice and offered suggestions. I got a pulled pork slider, philly slider, and some garlic fries. My favorite was definitely the pulled pork, it came on a pretzel bun and was topped with a tasty coleslaw. The pork came in big tasty chunks and was tangy and delicious. The philly was good too, the meat especially was tender and flavorful. They give you a ton of fries with the meal, definitely enough for two people to share. The fries were good, a little to crunchy, and the garlic flavor was a little strange, but they were still good enough. They come with your choice of ranch, ketchup, or fry sauce and I opted for all 3. The ranch was really good, I will get that in the future. We tried Blake's Gourmet last night at a neighborhood party. After ordering, we waited over 30 minutes for our food. My wife and I ordered two plates, two sliders each with french fries. I had the BBQ Pork Slider and the All American Burger. The pork and coleslaw were tasty, but the portion was tiny. There was a lot more bread then pork. The All American Burger was not great. The burger patty was dry and overcooked, and I was not too fond of the mustard. My wife didn't like the sweet BBQ sauce on the BBQ Pork Slider. The french fries were good, but when are fries not good? For dessert, we had the cinnamon scones. They were decent but were doughy and dense, which I didn't expect from a scone. We started using Blake's catering service at the suggestion of a friend during our kitchen remodel last summer. What a pleasant surprise. We have always had a delicious meal with good size portions. Every meal we have had has been well worth the money, well prepared, freshly made, tender, and delicious. This last St. Patrick's day was no exception. So this is a food truck, that make the cutest, and yummy sliders. Just had the BBQ chicken slider and the beef slider as well. The bread was very soft, moist, yet not soggy, which is perfect in my opinion. The beef slider was good, I think it was a little too spiced for my taste. The BBQ chicken slider however; daaamn that slider will Rock Your Buds!! The garlic French fries were good, a little too salty, but if it had less salt I can tell it'll be a favorite of mine. You must try it though, just ask for less salt and you can always add more later. Here is the breakdown for me: The good: Fresh, hot, fried scones (we are talking the Utah definition) drenched in delicious honey butter. Fresh fries with fry sauce. Friendly service. The bad: I've tried the sliders multiple times. I've never found one I like. They have ranged from bland on a good day, to having some kind of paper in the meat on a bad day. They have never been particularly warm or fresh tasting either. I'm willing to shell out 10 dollars on a lunch, but when other vendors can do farm to table or really amp up the flavor profile with creative combinations that are still simple to achieve in this venue I would much rather spend my money with them. read more

Sicilian fries were nice, a big portion for the price. Mine hardly tasted of Parmesan but the herb seasoning was good plus the fries were fresh and hot, which I liked. Both the burger and chicken sandwich lacked flavor, it didn't seem like the meat was seasoned at all. They just tasted like they were made in a pan on the stove at home. Both the patty and the chicken were a meager portion, even for a slider. The fries were a bit overwhelming with evoo. Fries and evoo just aren't the best pair, in our opinion. We tried this food truck while we were in Daybreak. I had the 2 sliders with fries. My chicken and burger sliders were dry. The meat was over cooked. My husband had 3 sliders with fries. He said the same thing about his sliders. Also, it took them 15 minutes past the start of the food truck roundup before they opened for business. The fries are the only thing that is saving this review. They were cooked and salted perfectly. I just wish the Sicilian fries had a little more garlic. Blake's offers sliders. Chicken pesto, All American and a pulled pork. I don't like pulled pork much, so I went for the chicken pesto and All American with hot sauce fries. I was slightly disheartened when the fries were actually doused in Frank's Red Hot instead of some dry rub. So the fries were sort of soggy but I ate them all because I'm gross. The chicken pesto was fine. I wouldn't write home to mom about it. But if we're being honest, this sandwich would have to knock out the electric grid, cause cancer for the entire Western United States or something equally as catastrophic in order for me to write home to my mother, because who the hell writes their mother anymore? Tried the food truck for the first time. I ordered the 2 sliders and frys option for $9.50 (ended up being charged $10.27 after tax). I chose the All-American and California sliders. The all American slider was a dry hamburger that had a healthy amount of yellow mustard to moisten the sandwich. The California slider chicken was also dry and not seasoned. The toppings were better on this sandwich because you could actually taste the individual items. I chose the Sicilian fries and these were the best part of the order. They had a display of what the food looked like, Cold drinks in metal bins, tables to eat on, music playing for those waiting, kind service, and quick. Portions are perfect!! Blake and Tiffany were very kind, helpful, and patient. They had 4 people in the truck helping and got food out faster than the other two trucks. Food was yum. We tried this food truck at the Gallivan Center today and were impressed. They offered three special sliders that you could choose from - a meatball, a Santa Fe chicken, and a salmon with honey mustard sauce. We sampled all and really liked them. They had good flavor, nice toppings and the buns were lightly toasted as well. They offered a combo meal that came with fries, which we liked. They have different types of fries - we tried the ones with garlic and Parmesan and the buffalo style and enjoyed both. We were also offered ketchup, ranch or fry sauce to dip in. We felt the portions were right were good and the price was right. This truck also offered several types of hot chocolate that we will have to come back and try.
