Mexican Torta with the yummiest meat!!
    Austin S.

Woweee this was one yummy sandwich!! I got the Mexican Torta and LOVED it! The meat had such good flavor and the sandwich as a whole was awesome. I got the side of fries. I think they were maybe a little over priced for what they were, but also really appreciated that they had fry sauce in their cooler. I will 100% be trying other items from this food truck if I stumble upon it again

Glad to see an Argentine food truck around (U campus), don't know if I've seen a spot for Argentine food around town before, at least on Salt Lakes east side. I have tried the Choripan, Chimi Eggplant and of course their empanadas, all of which I was a fan of. The choripan is a simple sandwich with a grilled Italian sausage, melted cheese and caramelized onion, but very tasty and pretty cheap. ($7) The chimi eggplant was pretty good as well, I really liked the flavor of the eggplant cooked with the chimichurri in the sandwich and the feta cheese as well, but I got a little tired of the mushy texture of the eggplant by the 2nd half of the sandwich.

We ordered the veggie burrito and eggplant chimi sandwich with fries. Both were fresh and excellent! Highly recommended.

I'm a big fan of argentine food, I came across this food truck while outside a brewery on a Saturday afternoon.

For food, the calmari frita it was called but it was squid, some kind of white fish, shrimp along with fried, thinly sliced red onion, bell pepper and jalapeño. GET THIS, one of the best things of the night! When you do get it, make sure you get bites of the chopped veggie mixture that's buried under all the fried goodness, thank me later. Main course, we got the Parillada de Buenos Aires, this is where the issues start, our waiter said we were able to sub out a couple of the items on platter as tripe and sweetbreads (the glands of a veal if you weren't aware) are not things we enjoy. So we swapped them out for a chicken milenesa and a grilled chicken breast. It also came with 1 each of the sides that were pretty basic, and honestly lacked flavor in comparison (rice, potato salad, house salad, mashed potatoes and roasted veggies). Then the meats it comes with, a half chicken, a 12 oz skirt steak, 4 short ribs, some other grilled cut of meat (menu doesn't specify what kind) and a variety of sausages. The waiter, through super nice, totally messed up the substitutions. He brought them out but from the time ordered to the time we ate was about an hour, and for the correct food to come out took even longer. The food itself was pretty good, meats had great flavor and the milenesa when it came out was hot and juicy. The meats didn't need any dipping sauce because they were that well seasoned. Dessert we had the lemon "cheesecake" which was just a lemon cake with a cream cheese type frosting, not at all what you think of with a cheesecake.

The food was great. The bread was fresh and soft and warm and the empanadas as well. Flavor wise they were nothing special but the quality was great. We got the beef tongue as well and it was amazing. Super soft and flavorful that had us coming for more. And finally the reason for my 4 stars, we got the anchovies pizza. The crust was great everything was great however the salt in the anchovies wasn't accounted for and made the pizza super salty. Other than that it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back. :)

It was 8 pieces of YES, TONGUE, and after getting over the fact of what it looked like I took a dive right in. It was absolutely disgusting! Very chewy with a rather strong freezer burn taste. I only made it through two before I called it a day. I hate to waste food but none of my companions were interested either. They really DRENCH their food here in too much olive oil which perhaps more spices and spiciness are needed. I requested the tongue spicy but evidently that was not an option. On the positive, their house bread is absolutely delicious and is something that I would recommend. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon though; if ever.

The restaurant is beautiful with fancy light up menus which is needed because it's pretty dark inside. I ordered the beef ribs and my husband ordered the picanha. Both came out extremely tough and chewy. My daughter had to spit out her bite because she got tired of chewing so we had to cut each piece into 1/2 cm pieces for it to be palatable. I've been to Brazilian steak houses before and beef ribs are usually the most tender and flavorful especially when there is bone. The server did say it was going to on the chewy side but I didn't think he was serious. Like why would you make meat intentionally chewy? For a $50 dish that came with no sides and worse than what we've made at home it's pretty disappointing. We also ordered a side of the grilled veggies which had some veggies that were so bitter and others that were undercooked and no seasoning. The purple yams were decent and the coquettes but again the pricing for each was exorbitant. Also because they have a somewhat open kitchen style concept the dining room got extremely hot and we were just dying to get out quickly. For two entrees, two sides, one app, a bottle of water and glass of wine a bill of $225 was not worth it. Sadly not a great experience.
