We ordered the fish and chips plates, you have two options for fish cod or salmon and we got the cod. This was the best fish and chips I have ever had! It was perfectly cooked and the batter was so perfect, it was just a light batter but very crispy! The fries were good and very crispy too. we tried Fish on Chips for the first time yesterday (Wednesday 5/14) at the Smith's on 90th S in West Jordan. We got the 3-piece cod dinner, with fries, and the three-piece cod dinner, without a side. I have to say, my husband and I were both impressed with the quality and the dry on the fish, as well as the fries. The batter on the fish was crispy, light, and not oily at all, even after a trip home to eat it! the fries were amazing, too. often, the sides can be underwhelming, but I would buy these fries, alone, if I didn't like fish, because they are that good! We had 2 pieces of fish left over last night, which would usually go in the trash, but I thought I'd air fry them for lunch today. They were perfect! I did add a little salt and lemon, as I'm not a fan of tartar sauce. I HIGHLY recommend Fish on Chips! you won't be disappointed! read more

So I caught up to these freaks with a fryer on the corner of 7200 w and 3500 South today. Wow! I mean freaks in the best possible way! Being from Florida, (Miami specifically) I like to think I know my way around my seafood. And I love flaky white meat fish fried to golden perfection. And that's exactly what I got! Not only is this the best fried fish food truck, but the best fish n chips I've had in all of Utah. And these folks were so kind and friendly. I ordered the cod, and they even through in an extra piece of fried salmon just so that I could try it. Lol... They knew exactly what they were doing, because that was the best fried salmon I have ever had, anywhere! In fact I may even go for the Salmon in-lue-of the Cod next time. If you like your fries like I do: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, then you want to make sure and get them too. Rounding out the meal with some of their delicious tartar sauce,(make sure to get a couple extra) and well I ate every last fry. And lord knows I should have stopped half way through. I went to order from their food truck while it was in Magna today, I was very pleased with my salmon fish and chips. Large pieces of fish, they gave everyone an extra piece so 4 pieces for the price of 3! They can't even close the to go box they serve it in because it's so full of fish! Tasted great too. Fries were excellent. They have keto fish and coleslaw, I'll be trying that next time. Price is great compared to other restaurants serving similar quality and portions. Wow!!! I'm blown away by the quality of food here. Super fresh and super real. Honestly I can't say enough good things about this truck. I never stop at food trucks but I'm glad I did:) Huge portions and freshly fried. It's not overseasoned and the batter is quite light which was nice. The fries were great too. These are not frozen at all. Maybe the fish is, not sure, but it's a fresh batter. Gosh it was good. I'm not a huge fish guy but the freshness of their cod was great and I'd come back for sure. Picked some food up today after seeing them parked, I've been here 4 or 5 times. The Good: - The salmon is GREAT - Crispy batter - Crispy fries The Not So Good: - The cod is just so so, not much going on in terms of flavor - The batter flavor is ok, but again, not much going on The Bad: - The wait! I had 3 people in front of me who already ordered when I showed up, with what looked like 5 combos total. The wait was just shy of 30 minutes. This is the experience almost every time I've had them. - This order was for the combo of Salmon with one extra piece. They gave me all cod, no salmon. Honestly I wouldn't even come here for the cod in the first place. This has happened twice. Overall, the fish and chips are better than most places you'd go to that has these just thrown on the menu, but for a place that specializes in it, I'm always let down, at least with the cod. If you are in a hurry, or see a big line in front of you waiting to order or waiting for food, pass! I'd even pass for the salmon if there was a large line, since you'll be waiting for an hour or more (this has happened before). read more

Best Fish and chips we've ever had. We tried the Yankee combo of cod and salmon. The potion size was so large the container wouldn't close. The breading was very crispy and flavorful. Honestly terrible service. When we ordered, we were told there was a 30 minute wait. After waiting 45 minutes and seeing multiple people, who arrived after us, recieve their orders, we decided to wait until the next batch came out to make a decision. I saw two different men, who showed up after us complain, and get pushed to the front of the line in orders. When we asked for a refund after waiting an hour, they assured us we were at the front if the next batch. If you're showing up expecting On The Hook, and these guys are there instead, do yourself a favor and leave. Being busy isn't an excuse for letting other customers get their orders first, after showing up 30 after we did. Ridiculous. read more

We had a great meal at Fish On Gourmet (food truck). We occasionally get fish at the other food truck but Fish On was a better experience. The cod had just the right amount of breading, the fillet size was great, and it the breading was crisp. Got a more generous amount of crispy french fries with our order. Our order taker was pleasant. Can't wait for the next time the truck is in our town. Good job Fish On staff!! read more
