I've been visiting Santa Fe for years. Each time, I've driven by Lotaburger, considered eating there, read the mixed Yelp reviews, then opted against it. Today, I finally decided to ignore the haters and give it a try. I am so glad I did. I got a regular ol' burger with some diced green chiles added on. It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Everything tasted extremely fresh. The fries were yummy as well. As far as service... it was exactly what you'd expect from a burger joint. "Your order's ready. Do you want ketchup." Perfection! Short and sweet. If you're looking for white glove treatment, go to the Compound. These days all the Blake's locations I've visited have been pretty consistent as far as food quality goes, which is a good thing! They've been our regular burger and fries stop recently. I came in for a breakfast burrito in this particular day and it didn't disappoint. This location has the old school feel of the one I grew up with in Española that doesn't have a dining room. The fries were VERY fresh did find a hair on one. The chicken was pretty good. The burger was dry and soggy on the bottom. The drinks were very warm with absolutely no ice in them. The guy at the window was fine didn't talk much. I also asked for a small Dr Pepper but they gave me the largest soda I think I have ever seen. The lady at the pick up window has a very very nasty attitude and is the reason God created the middle finger. If a person dislikes their job that much, find another one that suits you. Maybe away from the public. The team in general is not very friendly. This is my first time attending this joint and what I find entertaining is, they have a tip jar. They don't greet you kindly, when you ask for extra ketchup, they roll their eyes and act like you're a problem to them. I returned to my hotel room to open up the food and they just don't care how it's packaged or what it looks like or that it's overcooked I love trying out different local restaurants theoughout the country as I'm on a road trip currently and this one is definitely a huge negative. If anyone is considering giving this place a shot, drive a couple blocks and go to a real restaurant that serves decent food. read more

Again, do these people working at Lotaburger on Guadalupe NOT read? I ordered two breakfast burritos and asked for them to be cut in half. They weren't. They included plastic knives. Was that a snarky message for us to cut our own or were they just being jerks? Sometimes we ask for them to but cut in half because we are eating on the road or not eating them at home and don't have utensils to cut them. But what really pisses me off is that they never follow directions when I order a sandwich for my kid. This is the second time they made her order wrong in a month. I asked for them to leave off the cheese, but they have added cheese. You cannot email the company to issue a complaint nor can you call anyone to tell them what happened. Horrible. Service and the food both are horrible. Went there a couple days ago, ordered an Its a Burger and onion rings. Got home - the bun was completely soggy because they did not toast the bun and put the lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun, an amount of mustard so small you had to look for it, one piece of onion. The onion rings were clearly not fresh and appeared to be re-cooked/heated. It was a meal fit for a dog. Went back with my receipt to ask for a refund and was tag teamed by 3 Mexican female workers who had their "manager" on the phone and between 4 of them I was refused a refund and told to call the corporate office. I got the burger and added green chiles, so delicious! The green chiles brought some heat but not too much that my tongue was burning up. The bun was toasted just right so that it was nice and crispy on the edges. My husband loves the fries and the way they were seasoned. Blake's Lota Burger is a common sight in Santa Fe. They are a fast food place, and the burger is made to order. We ordered one burger to share as an after dinner-snack. The burger was made with care and topped with green chile, jalapeno, shredded lettuce and tomato. The burger was moist but not juicy. The green chile sauce with the jalapeno was like setting your mouth on fire! Santa Fe has definitely increased my spice game but this was the hottest thing that I ate this week! I was able to finish my quarter burger but my mouth continued to burn afterwards. I would definitely recommend getting the green chile to the side and hold the jalapenos. read more

Being a Breaking Bad fan and many other old school movie scenes - Blake's Lotaburger is the perfect setting. Roadside walkup fast food eaten at an open air white picnic tables or in your car. Sorry, no car hops here and I recommend a table over in the car - slop can happen. Basically, there are the classic "Lotaburger" and the "Itsaburger." "Lota" being larger brother, but from my experience, just slightly than his little sister "Itsa." Now add fries and a soft serve shake with four flavor options (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and CHERRY). Yes I had cherry and it made me cheery. My wife "Itsa" had chocolate, which was a strong second. Other grilled items include, Breakfast Burrito's Galore, Breaded/Grilled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Dogs (corn, chili, & a back-east Nathan's), Chili, Frito Pie, Onion Rings & Fries. Yesterday I ordered Online, a bacon burrito with the Red on the side, PLUS an extra Red on Side, and Cut the burrito. after standing in line to get my order, even though the website says to bypass the line because I paid online, staff does not open the delivery window, instead they point at the cashier, who makes me wait in line, I was given an incorrect order. So, after waiting in line, and being given the wrong order. I got upset and handed my order back through the cashier window. The manager claimed I "Threw" the burrito at her (not true), she said I have to wait in line, to get my mistaken order corrected (she does not know the online order info says to bypass the line). I then received the missing red Chile. But surprise, they Still did not cut the burrito in half, Im starting to think the person rolling the burritos does not know how to read. a few days ago I ordered a Red burrito, plus extra Red (not on the side). I was given a burrito with No Chile at all. (I only discovered this after driving away, and opening the order at my lunch time.) Clearly it makes no difference how I order, the person rolling burritos just ignores the Chile part of the order, and puts a Dry Burrito in my togo bag. Whoever is rolling burritos cant read, and nobody verifies orders are filled per the ticket. I love to try burger joints that I haven't had and there wasn't anywhere else close that was open and we were really hungry. So we have it a shot. We each ordered an Itsaburger and regular fries. I really didn't expect much due to the poor reviews but we didn't have to wait long for our food and it wasn't super expensive. I have to say, it was pretty good! I really enjoyed the toasted bun and all the veggies tasted super fresh. The burger wasn't very big so if you have a big appetite, I'd get two. The fries were fresh and tasty as well. Service here truly sucks and the wait was crazy long, but had my first green chile lotaburger (even though I ordered an itsaburger) and have to say it was surprisingly amazing! The hatch chiles they use are really delicious. I didn't get pickles or mustard on it, so Idk if I'm missing out on another experience, but this In-n-Out lover was happy. Gave this location another chance as there was a road block on St Francis and I was in a hurry... needless to say, I was let down, severely. The woman on the phone taking my order seemed annoyed that I was ordering burgers at 10 am. When I got the order back to the office, everyone's burger was dry, over cooked and closer to a jerky burger then anything juicy or delicious. I immediately drove the order back to the location, and requested that they either refund me my money, or remake the burgers. The woman apologized, said she would remake and closed the window. Five minutes later, she informed me that they would not do either as bites had been taken out of the burgers. I explained that is the only way to know if they were dry jerky burgers. She told me they were inspected, found to be fine and that they would not remake or refund my money. I told her that I didn't want them as they touched them, her response?!? How else would we know they were fine! ‍ I included a picture of how they were returned to me... I filed a formal complaint with corporate, as this is NOT the way you treat a customer who is unhappy with the food.
