Just had the worst "chicken tostada" of my life. Tostada was limp and soggy, fell apart, chicken was cold, diced, some bits scattered among room temperature limp lettuce dumped on the "tostada." That was it. No beans, no cheese, no heat, no onions, tomatoes, cilantro, no crispy or tasty. It was supposed to be ready at 5 for pickup and it was ready at 5:25. I guess they didn't like my face, or what. I threw it out after a couple of bites. Bumblebee has been declining for so long! No more salsa bar (ended so long ago). World's smallest chickens. Nothing tastes fresh. People seemed to be ordering the elotes, though. read more

Really bummed. Their Tortillas burger with guacamole was one of my favorites. I just got one and it seems they switched to premade burgers about 1/8th inch thick. They used to be so juicy you'd use up quite a few napkins while eating it. Now, I had to dump on mustard and mayo even w the guacamole. So bad, It tasted like a very bad Burger King burger( if you know what that weird taste is) . I threw half of it away. Sorry, I won't be back. The last time I got take out, I ordered the Chicken Green Chili stew. They left out any and all of the Chicken. This stew is up to 18$. This super casual restaurant is a reliable spot for fresh, yummy food. My hubby loves the posole and burritos. I go for grilled chicken. There's a drive through--sop convenient. Been traveling for two weeks and really just wanted a good veggie burger. We found this place when we got to town. I got the green chili and cheese burger but substituted the patty with a Boca Burger and a side of sweet potato fries. Hubby had the green chili tortilla soup with tofu. Both of our orders were very flavorful and fresh tasting. My fries zesty and crispy. Our only complaint that kept my rating from being a 5 star one was the prices. We stopped in to Bumble Bee's today for a 'snack' (basically a very late lunch) at the recommendation of an artist we met at the Santa Fe Railyard Sunday's Artisan Market. She had described the place as a great local spot serving up really fresh food, sourced from local farms. When we pulled into the parking lot around 3 pm on a Tuesday, we were surprised to see so many cars, including 2 at the drive-thru window. After parking, while walking towards the inside, and noticed the fun drive-thru sign noting Bumble Bee's is the "Worlds Slowest Drive-Thru," since all the food is made fresh and to order. We went inside expecting table service, but this place has more of a kitchy, local fast-food restaurant vibe. You order at the counter, get a number, pick a table (inside or out) and then they bring your food out when it's ready. During your wait, you can enjoy the art all over the walls and the bees and decorations hanging from the ceiling. For our lunch, we ordered 2 bowls of green chile stew with chicken, 1 bowl of green chile stew with lamb, a fresh lemonade, a chocolate shake, a fresh horchata, and a squash and goat cheese quesadilla. We waited maybe 15 min for our food to come out, and were surprised at the portion sizes! The green chile stews were full of meat, potatoes and green chiles, plus were topped with pieces of tortilla chips, sour cream, salsa and shredded cheddar cheese. Hearty enough to be the only thing you eat all day! And the meat was cooked to perfection, tender and falling apart. Really great. The quesadilla was also fantastic. The combo of squash and goat cheese was delicious, and though we weren't able to finish it all, we brought our left overs back to our airbnb and look forward to finishing them tomorrow! We really enjoyed visiting this local gem during our brief stay in Santa Fe and would love to go back and experience more of the extensive menu! The food is here unbelievable!! It's a cute small secluded spot, has gorgeous lighting outside and you can smell what you're about to experience from the parking lot. They don't have servers so you order at the entrance and they bring your food out when it's ready. Everyone was nice and they were busy! I went with my partner and we both ordered different things to share. I got the Mexican burrito with steak and he ordered the half chicken plate. Everything was so delicious and perfectly spiced, the rice and beans that come with the chicken plate were also great and paired really well. My burrito was really good and it hit the right spot after a long day. They're a really long time small business and just make the best chicken ever. Ok so I didn't expect much from this drive through place close to home. So here's the thing, for someone who alway eats healthy and never fast food, what I had last night was a revelation. On our way from Colorado to New Mexico, we were looking for a quick bite to eat around Santa Fe that was also dog friendly. This place had pretty glowing reviews so we decided to check it out. I actually enjoyed my burrito quite a bit (see photos) but I tried my girlfriend's tacos and found the meats to be very bland and dry. She did ask for no sauce but we expected the meats to have some flavor and juice to it. I also wouldn't call this place dog friendly and more dog tolerating. Overall, nothing to write home about but wouldn't argue if people wanted to come here for a quick bite. read more

I laughed as soon as I got here. Right at their drive-thru they have a sign that says "world's slowest drive through". You've been warned! LOL It was funny but it did make me a bit nervous of how slow the service was when we went inside. No need to worry, there was just one person in front of us ant the guy taking the orders was working fast. We had some time to look through the menu (they have printouts right at the door and also a board with all they offer) and ordered in no time. We even asked if they could make a hot dog we saw on Yelp pics that they didn't offer any more. After a quick consultation with the kitchen, they said "no problem". We got our table, our drinks and waited for our food. This took a bit but not enough to label them "world's slowest". To me it was a sign that every dish is made to order and fresh. When we got our food, all dishes were hot, with cheese perfectly melted and so delicious it was worth the bit of wait time. Inside it is very colorful, with bee piñatas all over, Mexican garlands, colorful plates, red and yellow walls and more décor. They also have outside seating with colorful chairs to match the fun inside. So, don't get discouraged by the sign... they're joking! This is a charming little hole in wall, in the bend in the road, with advertised slow service. They were upfront about that. The kids enjoyed hamburgers, but you need to pay extra for fries. The 2 multi layers tortilla steak tacos were okay. I have had better elsewhere. I added white rice on the side. The chicken tacos with rice and pinto beans were well received. The huge bowl of green chili chicken stew was packaged up for the road. We also got the usual soft drinks. The order of salsa and chips was skimpy. The hanging artwork and piñata hanging from the ceiling and walls made it very festive. They have a small drive up and a walk up window. Like they advertise, these patrons just need to be patient and wait too. Probably will not be buzzing by again soon, as way out of the way, from where I live. So many other places to try next time in Santa Fe. read more

The green Chile stew (with tofu) here was really exceptional. It was $11 for a very generous portion that also comes with a side of corn or flour tortillas. It speaks to their level of care that instead of just throwing the tofu in as is, they lightly batter and fry it first, so it can better soak in the delicious favors of the stew. Was also thrilled that they have a vegan chicken protein option that can be added to most of their menu items. It does have an extra charge of $5, however is totally worth it for the burritos as they are enormous. Atmosphere wise it's a low key casual joint with locals swinging through, staff were professional and friendly! read more

Had an absolutely HORRIBLE takeout meal from Bumblebee's last night. We have been going there since they first opened, but this was inexcusable. The meal itself was bad - salmon was so overcooked you could barely bite into it, the pork taco was disgusting and all fat, the special sauce was basically water. The fish burrito was tasteless. AND the person at the order desk was rude AND OVERCHARGED US. Bob - RIP.....This is NOT the same restaurant you lovingly established. What a disappointment! read more

This used to be one of my favorite places and I can't tell you how many times I've made an order and go home with the wrong food. How difficult is it to make a burrito with cheese and pinto beans. It was smothered and black beans. I mean, come on... either the cashiers need to listen better or the back staff needs to pay attention. This is the fifth time this has happened with orders there. And all they did was refund me. A good business would've said next time you come in, will give you a burrito on tue house. Incompetence is unbelievable. Also, you need to train your staff on how to wrap a burrito because the second I bit into it the entire thing fell apart. This was a complete waste of money. Overpriced and overrated. Taco Bell is much better than this place. Save your money and don't go in. read more
