This was a cool spot for a quick lunch in old town Santa Fe. I was drawn in by the colorful entryway and saw they had a few veggie options. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful when asking about the menu. We were short on time, having less than two hours to explore town, so having our food served quickly was also a big win. Really fun interior with lots of decor and art to admire. I got the mushroom street tacos and the portion size was perfect for lunch. The mushrooms were nicely seasoned and slightly crisp. The rice and beans side was a nice extra and getting the black beans offered as vegetarian was a nice touch. Indoor and outdoor seating available and a short walk from the cathedral area and shops.

We stopped in while looking for a place that wasn't too busy, and it turned out to be a pretty good pick. Definitely a more casual place, and you seat yourself. Food came out pretty quickly and the whole experience was pretty fast and smooth. I ordered the street tacos, and the tortillas that came with them were bomb! The tacos overall were very good, they came with 2 which were the perfect size. I also got a horchata, which was pretty big. But something about the flavor didn't quite land for me, not bad, just a little off in a way I can't really pinpoint. Pricing felt decent for the area and the portion sizes were good. Service was fast and friendly. They take your order at the counter and bring the food to your table, so there's not a lot of interaction with the staff. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating as well. Cute spot!

This was a great spot for a quick dinner. We walked in, were sat within a few minutes, and ordered pretty quickly. I was excited to see that they had coin margaritas. they also had a special margarita that evening. A Blood Orange margarita, which was pretty tasty! For my dinner, I ordered a small Caesar salad, a street taco plate and guacamole and chips. My partner ordered the fajitas and he loved his food. We loved the chips and guac as it also came with three different types of salsa, and a LARGE basket of chips. We were sat at the front of the restaurant, which was a large wall of window, so if it were daylight, you could people watch. But it was dinner and winter, so it was a little chilly. The place was lively and service was quick and everything was delicious!

We were looking for a quick and easy lunch, and The Burrito Company fit the bill! Signage inside shares how Kimo, the founder, came from El Salvador to New Mexico. The restaurant is still in the family, run by the next generation. Ordering at the counter was easy; we made our choices, filled our own soft drinks as directed, and took our order number to a table outside. The patio is really pleasant, with lush plants, tables of various sizes, and plenty of shade. Our food was delivered quickly. It wasn't as spicy as I expected but hot sauce options were available. Soup was hearty and served with warm, crispy chips. Enchiladas came with rice and beans, which were well-prepared. We enjoyed people-watching on the patio while recharging!

I was extremely happy to have lunch here, because burritos are my favorite food! Located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, it seemed like there were many tourists. Was disappointed with my food. The chili had no heat to it AT ALL. However, since it is located in a tourist area, I can understand the low/no heat to the chili. The service was good! You order your food at the counter and seating is open. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the weather. It was a great view of the plaza and the umbrellas were a great asset for the heat :)

We went into town for our last vacation. By happy coincidence, our first choice was booked. Despite being early when we walked up to The Burrito Company, the manager on duty invited us in from the cold. He told us to pick a table and our server immediately came over after we were all seated. El Sancho (staff pick margarita) was insane. It has actual jalapenos in it! We had a variety at our table from kids meals to vegetarian. I personally had their new duck mole enchiladas. All was eaten and enjoyed. The finale was Pastel de Chocolate y Toffee and the Mexican Chocolate Mousse. The kids dug the chocolate ice cream pie. The adults dreamt about the mousse later. A great experience all the way around!

Walked by this place and decided to stop in for breakfast. We ordered the breakfast quesadilla which was awesome, the breakfast burrito with bacon, which is very big, filling, and delicious, and the blue corn piñon pancakes with maple syrup were also delicious. Highly recommend and I would definitely go back. Didn't take pics as I was not expecting to post, but it was so good I wanted to share my experience. Edited to add a couple of photos of the burrito.

Santa Fe is expensive. It's Mexican Sedona. So, you gotta give it up to the people not trying to rip off tourists. This casual and festive place had a unique menu with classics, self-serve refills, delicious food, and friendly service. My chicken burrito was full of wet, tender, shredded chicken (contradicting fellow elite Shannon W's June review). It wasn't huge, yet I saved half of it for breakfast, maybe because we had the chips and trio to start (the queso was fine, the fresh guacamole needed a squirt of lemon and some salt). The wife thought the taco salad was a little sad- it may have been more hearty with a refried beans option.

Santa Fe NM is expensive and looking at this menu and prices I had hope. But no, it's like everything in Santa Fe. You walk in order at the counter, pay and tip and then someone brings you your food. We got our drinks while we were paying. $9.00 margarita was mostly sugar not much tequila. Good thing my husband got a bottled beer. Husband had the beef Street tacos which lacked in beef and flavor. We then split the cheese enchiladas that came with rice and beans. The food was bland and did not have much flavor. The person working the counter that took our order was snarly and questioned everything we ordered. Not a welcoming person. Oh, well I will not be going back here.

Unfortunately I was highly disappointed by food and service. I ordered fish and shrimp taco. The food wasn't bad but it's didn't come with a side of salsa or any sort of sauce. I was surprised to find them close even though online says that they are open at 11am that day. I checked on google and it was suppose to be open. I called and they said that they are open but waiting for alcohol to be delivered at 3pm. Did they assume that every customer coming in is ordering alcohol? As far as I understand this is a restaurant that serves food and alcohol and not a bar. Shortly after my arrival, there was a large tour with 12 people showed up. I could see that the waiter was a bit flustered because he also had to tend to other customer as well as the tour. I guess this is where the tour take people for authentic taco experience. In my opinion these are more toned down gringo tacos. My taco didn't come with a side of sauce like everyone else. I also noticed that the tour all received a side of salsa which I didn't. I'm not sure if the waiter forgot. I had to flag down the waiter a few time because he also forgot my drink. I also ordered an agua Fresca watermelon and it wasn't made of real watermelon but flavor syrup from the bar. I wished I had known that it wasn't real melon. 2.5 stars for the food and 2 for service. Again food wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't close to be the best.

On the food side, Palacio cooks their red Chile for over 8 hours, making it in my opinion one of the best and most flavorful in Santa Fe. Most other places I get Christmas style, but here, the red Chile is just perfect. On this trip, we had a smothered breakfast burrito and enchiladas suizas. I have been coming here for thirty-five years, and it blows my mind that after more than three decades, it keeps reaching new heights while fiercely retaining everything that made it legendary in the first place: the unbeatable high quality, the remarkably affordable prices, and those effortlessly cool, historic vibes. It is a rare, beautiful gem that refuses to compromise its soul, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. This visit was extra special because my fiancé was a first-timer, and he was instantly converted, falling just as madly in love with the magic of this place as I did decades ago. On this particular afternoon, the lines were wrapped around the courtyard and the energy was absolutely electric. It was hella busy, which is a testament to how beloved this institution remains. Rather than waiting for a table, we decided to grab our food to go--a move that turned out to be pure perfection. We took our feast over to the historic plaza square, found a spot to sit, and ate under the shade of the trees while listening to live music drift through the air. With a beautiful, cool mountain breeze rustling through the plaza, it was the most quintessential, magical Santa Fe experience you could ever ask for. As for the food, it remains an absolute revelation. I ordered my enchiladas "Christmas" style, split right down the middle with both their famous, deeply savory red chile and their bright, perfectly spiced green chile. The first bite instantly reminded me why no one else can touch what they do here. The blue corn tortillas were tender, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the chiles carried that robust, earthy, authentic New Mexico heat that warms you from the inside out. It is a flawless execution of culinary tradition. To be able to deliver that level of world-class, scratch-made perfection at a price point that still feels incredibly generous is nothing short of a miracle. Whether you sit in their enchanting, labyrinthine dining rooms or pack it up for a picnic on the square, The Shed is the absolute pinnacle of the Santa Fe spirit.

They moved us to the other side of the pillar which we originally didn't mind but then quickly realized there's no lighting there. So we were eating dinner in a very dim lit area. After reading the reviews, we were excited to try the fish tacos, tamales, and fresh chips and salsa. Unfortunately, none of these really were superstar standouts for us. The blackened fish didn't have a ton of flavor. I found myself searching for a salsa that had a little bit of salt and flavor to spruce up the fish taco. I ate one of the three and my husband ate the remaining. The tamales tasted fresh and the ratio of protein to masa was great. We ate the tamale mostly without the mole sauce, which we didn't really care for. The salsa and chips that came out as an appetizer were fine. The salsas were different and flavorful.
