Champagne flight!

This has to be one of the coolest editions to KC! I went here for my friend's birthday and it was amazing. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was very nice and the food was great!!

I came to Blanc with a group of ladies during valentines week and what a fun place to celebrate! It was a friends birthday so they brought out the chambong for her which was such a fun way to start the evening! The whole space was decorated super cute for Valentine's Day which we loved. I ordered the scarlet hour which was a sangria-esque drink that hit just right. My friend's dirty chai martini was SOO good (if you have a sweet tooth- order it!) We will definitely be coming back to try out their rooftop and more drinks because blanc was a hit!

Had a great experience at Blanc Champagne Bar! We made a reservation and our table was ready as soon as we arrived, which made everything super smooth. The service was okay, but the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were spectacular. It's the perfect spot for a nice brunch. The terrace wasn't open when we visited, but I'd love to go back and enjoy the outdoor view next time. Such a beautiful place, definitely worth visiting!

We had a bit of time to kill before attending a Fringe Fest event at the Unicorn Theater across the street, so my buddy and I crossed the double set of streetcar tracks and navigated through the new sidewalk gardens for a quick beverage. We set at the bar and had a delightful bartender - Felicia. I ordered a local beer from Torn Label served in a chilled glass and my buddy had a specialty cocktail - ME Espresso - vodka, liqueur, and coffee from Cafe Corazon. I had a few sips also and it was as good as watching Felicia show off her mad mixology skills. Beautiful space, nice staff, and soon to be a perfect streetcar stop destination.

My wife and I went here for brunch on our anniversary weekend and loved it! The atmosphere was great and both entrées we got were very filling and delicious! It's fun to see creative places like this coming to Kansas City. Highly recommend this place!

Giving it another try but it was only dessert, like before we dined in and had the Peanut butter chocolate pie. This time it was to go. Not what we were expecting. The taste was pretty much the same, for the most part. It was size of the pies and that it wasn't same put together.

Loved this place. We just sat at the bar and had a flight and then a glass of our favorite but the bartenders were super personable and able to recommend some really cool things to try. They also gave me a birthday glass. Would highly recommend and we will be back. We want to try the food and brunch!

I've been wanting to stop in here for quite a while. Finally made it on a Wednesday afternoon. It was bright and airy, and felt like walking into spring time. Highly recommend on any gloomy days to get a boost of serotonin. During the day it's chic and popular with women. I want to come back at night when it's moody and intimate. I feel like that would be the time to come on a date while keeping daytime visits for the girls. While there some women were celebrating a birthday and their decorations were so adorable. I couldn't help myself but ask if I could take a picture. Highly recommend for someone wanting to celebrate. Though it's going to be difficult to top their party favors. I had the tuna starter. It was absolutely delicious. A week after being at Blanc I also went to a sushi restaurant on the plaza that will remain unnamed. But I can tell you after eating Blanc and also having tuna ... it is by far my favorite in Kansas City right now. I had a raspberry champagne drink, which was delicious, and perfectly poured. The bartender adjusted it to lighten the sweetness. I learned from the bartender that the rooftop is only open on the weekends because of staffing and demand. I plead with everybody to go visit regularly so we can get this rooftop bar open in the evenings during the summer! I can't wait to come back and see it. As the famous quote goes. I only drink champagne on two occasions:when I'm in love and when I'm not.

I loved visiting Blanc Champagne Bar today. It's definitely a hidden gem on the bustling Walnut Street. The moment you step inside, it really feels like you're entering a luxurious space!!!!! The dark green walls, modern floral wallpaper, and gold details made the place look very beautiful, creating an elegant and rich vibe. There were beautiful flowers on the walls that makes one feel so warm. Honestly, the decor reminded me of wedding receptions in India, welcoming and stylish. As for food and drinks, I tried the French 75, thanks to the Yelp team! It was such a fun, light, and super citrusy drink.. was really refreshing! I also got a Diet Coke and breakfast chorizo tacos, and wow!!! those tacos were the best Chorizo tacos I've had here in KC. Honestly, I didn't expect them to be so good at a champagne bar! :) The tortillas were thin and soft, packed with a generous amount of chorizo and eggs, justtt delicioussssss. Easily a 10/10. The only downside was that it took about 5 -8 minutes to get seated since no one was at the front when i walked in. But once i was seated, my server was really sweet and took great care of me. She even suggested I check out their sun deck area next time, which was very sweet. Best part??????? They covered the parking charges too. Overall, I had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend Blanc to everyone!

Blanc Champagne Bar is such a great spot. Everything from the food to the vibe feels thoughtful without trying too hard. The dishes we had were seriously good--the mussels were rich and flavorful, the croquettes were crispy and comforting, and the skewers were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sauce. You can tell real care goes into the menu. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It's stylish and cozy at the same time, making it perfect for a date night or an easygoing night out with friends. The champagne and cocktail selection is excellent, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Blanc Champagne Bar feels special but still relaxed, which isn't easy to pull off. Definitely a place I'd recommend and absolutely plan to go back to.

While reviewing the area on Google Maps, Blanc stood out to me. We didn't have a reservation (which I do recommend to ensure you get to experience this establishment), we were fortunate enough to be within walking distance and they were able to squeeze us in. And when I say fortunate, I mean it - they were full! With a European, floral aesthetic, this is a unique place to experience. They have a full bar, tables, and then intimate arrangements with sofas and comfy chairs. There are entrees, but my party chose an array of starters - the beef carpaccio is a must-try. Our server shared they will be opening their rooftop bar in the warmer months for addition space. My one caveat - if you have low vision in dark spaces or use mobility devices, it may be hard to navigate the space.

Kate C.

Love love love Blanc. Everything is stylish - the decor, the drinks, the food. It feels like being at a grown ups tea party, minus the tea & add in fabulous cocktails.

Jacqueline T.

This is such a cute spot! I absolutely love the decor and ambiance. I came during happy hour and it was a good time. The service was quick and the food was reasonably priced.

The photos looked amazing, and this place has solid reviews so I was walking in with a certain expectation. What was remarkable is how it was even better than I thought it would be. Let's start with the ambiance. The actual cafe is very small but charming. If it's cold or rainy outside you might need to skip Le Champion unless it's not busy as I think only a few folks can really fit inside. The inside is well designed though, and feels charming without being overwhelming. What stole the show for me though was the patio. As someone who studied abroad in France it felt so French to me in the best way. To me, it feels like taking a Parisian cafe and mixing it with a hip KC bar - it doesn't feel necessarily exactly like one or the other, but it compliments both and feels uniquely it's own in the best way possible. On the day I visited it was absolutely gorgeous outside and I had one of the best breakfast burritos of my life, mostly due to their chimichurri sauce. I also pretty much add a star for any place that keeps espresso tonic on the menu. Overall I love Le Champion and can't wait to return.

My Winner of Best Restaurant Week Meal 2026…read more I hadn't been back to Westport Cafe for a few years but now I'm kicking myself because I've been missing out! I remembered this restaurant being one of my favorites in years past . For some reason it fell off my radar. Now it's shining like a beacon of fine dining French inspired cuisine in Westport, an entertainment district known for a more casual environment. If you are looking for a special date night meal, somewhere for a girls night or just for a treat yourself dinner I would highly suggest Westport Cafe. Let's talk about this incredible restaurant week menu. First was the deconstructed crab cake (which is always on the menu) I would order this dish again and again. The way it was presented was a work of art. All the components were complex and it was fun to eat. It has such an essence of crab without the heaviness deep fried crab cakes usually have. Seafood is special here because the Trout Almondine was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. It begs to be added to the menu. The sauce was buttery and rich with nutty notes, the citrus cut through the richness so, it didn't seem heavy. The fish was cooked impeccably, I literally had no notes. They know what they're doing in that kitchen! And you know if I can rave about green beans then it was a perfectly executed dish. They had such a nice snap and vibrant green color, they were delicious dipped in that sauce. I cannot wait to go back for another solo splurge meal. This was my second dinner of the evening so I didn't make it to dessert at the restaurant but, I did take it to-go. I'm not a big dessert girl so, it wasn't very memorable however, the rest of the meal is engrained in my mind. I remember back a few years ago I used to go crazy for the muscles here so, I can't wait to sample them again. Also, just a note any menu that has rabbit on it just completes me. It's so hard to find nowadays in Kansas City and it's one of my favorite meats to indulge in. The menu rotates seasonally (as one should) so, I need to rush back in soon before the rabbit leaves. I would suggest you rush in too, I do not think you'll regret it.

Our night out in Westport took us to a couple of different spots…read more Our main haunt for the evening, however, was Westport Cafe. It's a pretty eclectic, cozy French Bistro. I highly recommend making a reservation because the space gets crowded quickly. We started the night with "The Corinthian," which was a velvety, sweet, and incredibly refreshing libation. The food throughout the night was a bit of a mixed bag, leading to some hilarious table critiques: One friends Stuffed Lamb Saddle: This dish looked like a Monet on a plate, but unfortunately, most of the pallette tasted like a five-year-old's finger painting. One of the glaring faux pas's was the Kryptonite-colored risotto, which tasted exactly like the peppermint gel the dentist uses to scrub your teeth clean. The lamb itself was cooked well, though a bit on the gamey side. The Halibut & Croque Monsieur: On the brighter side, one friend ordered the halibut--which tasted great, though the portion left her wanting a lot more--and another ordered the fancy French version of a ham and cheese sandwich, which was delicious. My friend and I decided to split a few plates: Oysters: Served on an elegant little plate with a house-made hot sauce and trout roe, these were absolutely spot-on. Beef Empanadas: As someone with high empanada standards, these didn't quite hit the mark. While they were mostly crispy and the meat had good flavor, the texture inside was a little mushy. The saving grace was the fantastic chimichurri sauce. Steak Frites: The steak was tender and flavorful, served with hollandaise and mustard sauces. The accompanying truffle fries, however, were like costume jewelry--glamorous and fancy at first glance, but ultimately just ordinary. The staff was nice and attentive and it was very thoughtful that they told us the 20% tip was included in the bill. Note: The restaurant does get pretty loud and packed, but we got lucky and were seated all the way in the back, which gave us a bit of a haven especially since our group can be a little obnoxious. Pro-tip: if you have a sweet tooth, saunter over to Insomnia Cookies afterward for an incredible treat... It's cookie heaven!

I always appreciate the honesty--nothing worse than wondering if your entrée is being handcrafted by Italian grandmas in the back. The drinks were delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced. We did find out they have a happy hour at the bar...right after we missed it. Rookie mistake on our part! The lasagna absolutely stole the show. Rich, flavorful, cheesy, and worth every bite. If you're on the fence, order it. The appetizer was tasty but felt a little small for the price, so I'd probably save room (and money) for more pasta instead. Overall, I'd definitely come back to work my way through the menu.
