We spent only one night at La Posada Pintada but we wish we would have stayed longer. In spite of COVID and a temporary power outage upon our arrival, the owner made us feel 100% welcome and at home. The rooms are big and cool, and the view from the back patio is outstanding. A perfect place to unplug from the world and reconnect with what matters. Also, whereas given the current situation there was no breakfast buffet, we were served a delicious hot breakfast. I'm looking forward to going back.

Wonderful homemade breakfast with a view!

My only complaint after staying here is that I was here for only one night. How I wish I could have stayed more! Such a beautiful place! A small town Inn with 10 rooms. We stayed in a room with two queen beds and it was huge! It had a tv, microwave, fridge and coffee maker(good coffee powder kept in a small box, not your regular hotel coffee) The sheets were clean and soft. The towels smelled so nice, the room too! The room had massive windows and the back door lead to a patio with a beautiful view. Now the bathroom. Tastefully done! Beautiful sink and walk in bath with body shower. Just what you need after a tiring day! Handmade soap! this place is full of pleasant surprises! They serve complimentary breakfast every morning(starting at 7am) and wow wasn't it special! Bread, jam, granola all homemade and delicious! The yogurt was kept in a huge bowl, so am guessing that was homemade too! They also had freshly cut watermelon, orange juice, coffee and tea. For non vegetarians they also had a hot breakfast item. There are a few tables inside and a few outside on the patio with a view of the red cliffs. You can enjoy your breakfast in the company of hummingbirds that come to their bird feeders. The wifi here was the best we got in our 6 days in Utah/Arizona. They have a nice little garden with many herbs and flowers. We were up by sunrise and all we could hear was the birds singing! So calm and peaceful. Bluff is a tiny town with just 3 restaurants that close by 9pm. So grab some dinner if you are going to be late. The staff is friendly. They will let you do an early check in if the room has already been cleaned. Close to many attractions. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Am sure a lot of work and love has gone into building and maintaining this place, it really shows!

    Yum!

If you're staying in Bluff in my opinion you're crazy not to stay here! Beautiful room, comfy bed, sunken Jacuzzi tub, nice peaceful view and friendly staff. Cooked to order breakfast was amazing. You make an appointment tine the day before. Everything homemade and fresh: homemade yogurt, homemade fresh baked bread, homemade granola baked yellow pepper eggs - just a delicious! All included with the room. So reasonable. 10 STARS

We stayed here after Easter 2021. It was a wonderful experience! The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms are a bit small, but the shower is big and has "body" spray options. The price was reasonable and the breakfasts were beyond wonderful!!! Even with COVID protocols, the staff did a great job ensuring our safety and an enjoyable experience.

We loved staying at La Posada Pintada! The breakfast was to die for the beds and sheets clean and soft, the room decor clean and airy it was outstanding. The owners are delightful people to talk to and learn the history of Bluff and what to do around Southwest Utah. So much to see and experience we ran out of time.. Excellent base point for the SW.

In the morning, Charlie (a gourmet French trained chef, who served the most perfect Eggs Benedict EVER) and Susan joined us for wonderful conversation and lots of laughter. Sorry we couldn't stay longer, as they suggested some great things to see and do, based on the many years they've been leading trips in the area. We can't recommend this B&B highly enough. I recommend better pillows though, we had like a million pillows on the bed but they were all small and thin. I would say hit the chair with a green machine because it seems stained, as well as the lamp shade was stained too. We had a toy roll under the drawers and it def needs a good vacuuming as it has other items under there too that we're not from us. It would be nice to have a little night light in the room as it's pitch black, we stayed with our toddler and had to keep a lamp on at night to see anything. Continental breakfast is decent, I'd like to have seen Apple juice since OJ is super sugary for kids. The WiFi is awesome! The TV channels are super basic so I'd recommend maybe install streaming Apps for guests. The staff is super nice and they all seem to like being there. Would def stay here again when visiting family again.

Here's what to expect: clean house with access to kitchen; mini-fridge to store your perishables; basic, comfortable rooms; clean bathroom with towel included; good WiFi (I didn't have phone service while I was there); soft, red sand to bury your tired toes in; lots of sitting areas in front of the house to watch a beautiful sunset against the iconic Monument Valley red rocks; 30min short hike out back to Tear Drop Arch; amazing night sky; friendly, curious cat named Kyle to pet at your pleasure; grill available for your use; Navajo fry bread breakfast can be arranged. Check-in was a ghost town--no one around, had to hunt down someone who looked annoyed we existed. Room felt like a dusty antique store explosion: creaky floors that groaned like they were dying every time you moved, poor lighting so dim you could barely see your own feet, and lightbulbs that were straight-up burned out. Bed was okay if you like lumpy mattresses from the 1800s, but the pillows were flat as pancakes and smelled faintly of old attic. Breakfast? More like a sad self-serve disaster. Tables were dirty, no utensils half the time, trash overflowing, and the "continental" spread was basically stale muffins, watery coffee that tasted like regret, and some sad fruit that had seen better days. No host interaction, no warm vibes--just grab-and-go neglect. The whole place had this weird abandoned energy. No real hospitality, plumbing sounded like a freight train every time someone flushed, and the "quaint" antiques just made everything feel grimy and neglected. Paid way too much for a night of discomfort and disappointment. Zero charm, zero comfort, zero reason to ever come back. It just sucked. Hard. It had been hot all week. 105+ and my two prior lodging choices that advertised AC and WiFi, both failed to deliver AC or WiFi or allow canceling a non-cancelable resv. There is another sign with a different number. No answer. There is a button on the wall to summon help. No help arrived. I found my way to the adjacent restaurant. Servers directed me to the bartender. No clue if a room was available. No idea if the rooms had AC. They have window AC units that hat work just fine. No idea if the room had a private or shared bath. Room 4 has a private bath. The only way to book and check-in while standing in the lobby is booking.com. I booked one night. It was then I discovered that the door to room #4 would not close. Further inspection revealed that the strike plate was not (mortised) flush into the door frame. Examining the door, it became apparent that the door could be forced closed, but only if I really put my shoulder in to it. The room and bath were clean and spacious. The stairway is a tad narrow, but that is hardly unexpected for vintage buildings. The restaurant staff is friendly, but uninformed about the lodging operation. The towels were thin and coarse, not plush. They reminded me of the earlier Days Inn stay that was a 0-star experience. I ordered nachos from the bar. Nothing special. Think gas station nachos. The bartender is friendly and makes a damn fine margarita. On-street parking only. Breakfast was not available, so off to the market. Would I return? Maybe.
