Cards on the table. I got a free medium pizza. Some of their marketing budget is on-line and they had all kinds of redeem in store options. So we opted for the free medium pizza. Bought a salad to split and 2 drinks too. Great lunch for $12. But it got us here. So that works. Day after Christmas so not many people moving about in general. We went in around 12:45p. They had a few people waiting for pizza and other take out orders. The dining area was open and clear. They have a dozen or so booths and some tables. You go to the counter to order. Then sit. They bring the food out to you like it's take out but you're eating there. I have to say the dining area was freezing cold. We asked for the heat to be raised. It is seriously cold. But they said it was broken. So bring a jacket. It's cold. And you should fix that. Salad came and it's large definitely big for 2 people. Lots of onions. My partner is not an onion person so she had to pick out lots. Salad was good. Pizza came out next. We got a sausage pizza. Nice and hot. Their pizza comes with a thicker crust, topped with cheese and the toppings, crispy top, the sauce is not sweet. It's not bad. Not my favorite but it's fine. It's all about taste and this was just OK for me. Pizza wasn't bad. Making that clear. Just not my taste in pizza. To me it was just OK. This place has been around for a long time time and they are nice local shop. So plenty of people like their pizza. We ate a few slices and took the rest home for later. It was a good lunch. Cold... Every time we order pizza it's never cooked all the way through and the portions of the food is so small it's not even worth the price of the food. And they give you dinner whenever you die in into to go boxes instead of regular plates and silverware what the heck guys I don't think we'll be dining there anymore. It's your standard pizza/fried chicken/Italian joint. Nothing fancy or anything, but we had a good experience dining in. It was seat yourself, and get your own drinks. The one waitress was nice, and did a good job. We had a $20 Groupon for Dine-In Only, and got a ton of food with that. They bring out complimentary warm bread, which is a good touch. The lasagna had a sweet sauce and was decent. My wife really liked the fried chicken breading. I think the pizza was the overall winner, I would come back for it. If I could leave zero stars I would. Nick the manager is by far the worst. We are regular customers who order two sometimes three times per week. Usually good overall and I hate to complain. But our food was promised fresh, hot and within 30-45 mins. We received it in an hour and a half. FYI, we live 5 mins away per Maps. Our pizza was trash... looked like yesterdays pizza. I was new to the neighborhood and thought I would give this place a try. Sorry that I did. Although the staff was nice and my carryout food was ready pretty quickly, I did not have a good experience. I ordered lasagna to take home it was cold in the middle and after I ate it, I had stomach cramps for nearly 3 days and it laid in my belly like a brick. Had the worst experience with this place. They delivered the incorrect pizza to my house and when I called back the manager told me even though they screwed my order up they would not make me another pizza but that they would give me another one for half price. they were the ones that delivered me the wrong pizza! Blasiole's...this pains me to do this but I'm dropping you to one star...and I think you were once at 5 with me! Today's experience really left me sad though since you're the best pizza in the 'Boro! I place an order online at 6:44pm. It tells me to expect my pizza at 7:27pm. I call at 7:42pm and I'm told that due to road closures the driver had to go a different route. Taking the bypass around 303 only adds about 45 seconds...90 seconds at most! I call again at 7:58pm since it's over a half hour beyond my quoted time and while on hold the pizza arrives at 8pm. When the woman comes back on the line I tell her it's arrived but barely warm. She made excuses about the online system automatically saying 45 minutes but when people call in they say an hour. Regardless, it was still late. Customer service 101: The first thing to always say is "I'm sorry". Don't make excuses, just say you're sorry. Fix the computer system and have it quote an hour then if it's problematic. read more

We just moved back up from Florida, but I'm originally from Ohio and the husband is from NJ. I lived in NJ with him for 16 years, so I'm familiar with good NYC pizza. We went into Blasiole's after being referred there by people at his new job. There was no one in the parking lot at lunch time on a Saturday, so we didn't even know they were open. When he found the door unlocked, we scooted inside and were told the dining room was closed as the heat was off. We could order takeout, but that was it. The guy working the register told us how great their pizza was, but when we said we knew good thin NYC pizza, he balked. Then he said, "Well, it's good for thin Ohio pizza." No, it's not. We got a large pizza with mushrooms and green peppers. He said he'd give us a "deal" but it came out to the same price as a large pizza with 2 toppings. We waited in the freezing foyer for 15 minutes while the 3 people working talked about friends and sports right inside the kitchen doors, then we were handed the pizza and left alone in the foyer. We live 2 minutes from there, literally, but it wasn't really even warm when we got home. The cheese was hardly melted in some spots. The sauce was only slightly bitter, which wasn't too bad, but it had way too much seasoning it. The crust was comparable to Pizza Hut's pan pizza. How is that thin? I like a thicker chewy crust, but the husband does not, and he was less than impressed. As a matter of fact, he's the pizza lover and he only had 2 slices out of the entire pie. I had to spread the leftovers out over a few days so we didn't end up wasting all that money. But boy, did I doctor that sucker up each time so it was better than we received it. I called in an order for a delivery and asked about their sizes for the salad( in addition to ordering pizza). I asked how big a large would be and was told it could serve a small group. When it arrived we all noticed how small the salad was. I called them to ask about it and was given the run around about looking up my order and then was finally told that I was probably given the wrong size. I was then hung up on and had to call back. After confronting the girl on the phone for hanging up on me she offered a credit for the salad. 20 minutes later get a call from them retracting the credit because the driver insists he gave us the right size. I explain how I was told it would be big enough to feed a group only to be cut off and told there's nothing he can do and then hung up on by him! Rudest service I have ever gotten, to be hung up on twice and for a business to retract a credit over a simple salad is ridiculous! Pizza was dry and had hardly any sauce and salad could barely feed 1 person; certainly not a group size as I told originally. None of us will ever be buying from this place again. read more

Being from Youngstown, OH I have a very tough time finding pizza that reminds me of home. Most places I've found outside of home are very average and Blasiole's is no exception... I was hoping because it is not a chain it would be better than usual but I was wrong. Only good thing in my opinion was the taste of the crust. I would NOT go here any food. I have been a customer for about 15 years and the past year the Quality has gone way down! Pizza delivered usually comes COLD!
