The food is so good, this place sells New York style pizza (which I might be biased because I am from New York) but this pizza is incredible. The cashiers are so nice and engaging with conversations if you would like to talk. So nice. The inside is super big and nice. Love: their sausage calzone and their Margherita pizza ("Luca's Choice" on the menu). Dislikes: They charge extra for paying by credit or debit and their buffalo chicken pizza is gross. I want to give Luca's more than three stars because of two menu items that have been consistently enjoyable, but as soon as we tried something different, we were seriously disinclined to try anything else. I love the crust on the pizza here--it has great flavor and is hearty. The Luca's Choice pizza always has lots of fat basil leaves that give it that wonderful flavor my family enjoys in a simple pizza. And unlike other places, when you order a large pizza here, it's large. Big, wide slices you need to fold to eat with your hands. One night we decided to try the Buffalo Chicken pizza. I've had it at other places and loved it. I sold the family on it and the one I ordered here was unpalatable. Three slices were eaten by three family member and the rest of a large pie went unfinished. The chicken was bland and rubbery and the pizza had a little dash of hot sauce and barbecue that wasn't even on every slice. It was such a HUGE disappointment. The calzones have been fabulous--they're giant and so tasty! We love the creaminess and sweetness of the cheese. Their sauce is also an important part of the dish--a must-have! I'm going to continue coming back to Luca's, but stick to what we know. I just have to find the courage to try something else, but it will be a long while from now. read more

I'm glad I stopped by this place today. I am a big fan of NY style pizza. The selection is somewhat limited in NEO, and most of it isn't very good. This place is better than most. The crust actually has taste, and the sauce isn't too sweet. The crust could have been a tad firmer, but was still very good. I also ordered their meatball sub, which was huge! It was also very good. It had the right amount of sauce, cheese, and meat. The bread was toasted perfectly. It didn't just crumble as you ate it. I hope the prices stay fair, because I will continue to return. I wish they had pasta dishes. They do charge you to use a card too. The staff was very nice. I wish the place was a little bigger. In the continued hunt for the best pizza shop in Cuyahoga Falls, we tried out Luca's! Ordered delivery on the phone and staff was so nice and polite. It was quite a long wait to get the food, but it was dinner time on a Friday night, so we have to be understanding! Luca's is a thin crust pizza, the dough itself does not have that much flavor, and it was a little chewy. My roommate loved it because she prefers a thin crust, myself, I like a little crunch. The sauce was perfect, not too much and it had an excellent flavor! The topping ratio was just right, there was the perfect amount of pepperoni's on each piece! I loved how big the slices were cut, you only need about 2 slices and you are good to! Overall, Luca's scored a 3.5/4 on our rating scale. We will definitely be back for more! read more

Nice place in a strip shopping center. The garlic knots are terrific. The pizza is excellent New York style with thin crispy crust. The service is fast casual, order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The dine in is nothing fancy with paper plates and no silverware. Next day we were up in Fairlawn, by reviews saw Luca's, drove all the way over to Stow, for Luca's. They said theirs was far superior, they were absolutely right! While the pizza is very good and New York style pizza is pretty rare in this neck of the woods, the real stars of the show are the steak and cheese sandwiches! Fantastic bread with plenty of toppings. Really the best I have in this area and on par with ones I have eaten on the East Coast! The only downside is the 3% surcharge for using plastic. A much smarter marketing strategy would be to set the price accounting for the 3% cost of card transactions, and offer a 3% "discount" for paying cash. Offering a reward is always perceived more positively than is paying a penalty! Our food has always been freshly made and ready in the stated amount of time. We have never eaten in, but it seems like a pretty typical pizza parlor atmosphere, clean and attractive, but not fancy. We are happy to have Luca's in our community and so close to our home. read more

I give three stars because i love their pizza. I have DREAMS about their pizza! There service is my nightmare. I planned to buy pizza and pick it up after work today. Wholefam looking forward to it. Started driving their direction after work while i called to order. After being on hold for 15 minutes, I hung up. If they can't get to me on the phone in fifteen minutes, how many hours will I be waiting for 2 pies, not that there was anyone to ask. So disappointed! I recommend this place to EVERYONE! Especially friends/family/co-workers from out of town, but i won't anymore. Thought the new location was supposed to solve this problem. This level of service is embarrassing. Really good pizza, but horrific service. We have frequented this place for years because we really liked the pizza. However, every single interaction with the front has been terrible. They are always rude and act like it's a chore to check you out, especially the middle aged lady (I believe her name is Lia S.). The only redeeming thing about this place is the pizza. Depending on where you are, not easy to find right now. So we stumbled across Luca's New York Style Pizza, and boy were we ever happy we did! The pizza's were huge! We also got an order of the garlic knots (delicious, chewy, red dipping sauce is excellent!) and a meatball sub (definitely didn't need for the three of us, but it was humongous, and the meatballs are for sure made in house and just delicious! Plus, that sauce, so much melty cheese, delicious fries and bread). But the pizza was just... Wow! Super thin, foldable slices, ours with half pepperoni and half cheese, baked to an ooey gooey puddle of cheese and sauce and thin chewy crust.... Salty pepperoni with the melty cheese and slightly acidic, but somehow sweet but not too sweet sauce... Just an amazing experience. Great little pizza shop. This is a small carry out only location. Didn't really realize that initially until we pulled up. There's about 3-4 chairs inside so you can sit while your pizza is being made. Little high on the prices, a small 14inch pizza is $15 or more if you get other speciality or toppings. But the pizza is definitely amazing. True to it's flavor and really recommend if you're in the area. I got Lucas Choice pizza, it was crispy and thin packed with flavor. Got the right ingredients with the sauce, cheese, and toppings. I will say, it has a unique in-house sauce taste but a good one. I have now tried it 2x and I can honestly say it pretty good! First time got a medium deluxe. Lots of topping and the pizza was pretty good. This time I got the Xlarge with pepperoni and we got mild wings. I have to say the wings were really good. Nice taste and just a touch of heat. The pizza is pretty good. Very thin and the Xlarge is really big. My family got a kick out of the huge pieces. They really liked it. I read some of the salty comments. I could see how people might think it's salty. It does have a salty taste. I didn't think it was too bad. Both times it might be on the cusp of salty. Something they should probably watch. Overall not too bad. I'd definitely go back. Staff is hardly aware you were in their store. Not friendly. Also. This is the second time we tried to get crispy wings with extra sauce. We got soggy wet wings with barely any sauce recognizable. Would not recommend the wings. I am not a difficult person to please but do you spend that much money on wings I kind of expect much better than what we received both times. I hope he gets better.
