My family built a house in 2013, moved in, in 2014. The house has a pool table area, however I didn't want to buy a low quality table AND I didn't want just a pool table, it had to be multi-functional. I have searching the internet for nearly 5 years looking for "that" table. I came across Blatt Billiards out of NJ (www.blattbillards.com). I came across the BC-DIV dining pool table. Calling the company (212-674-8855) I spoke with Laurin Degroat. We spoke several times, I had tons of questions all of which she professionally answered, never pushing a sale. There was a lot of money spent, so I needed to be as sure as possible that what I was buying was quality. The particular table we got, has hand selected woods for the build, had stained from a wide variety of colored stains to choose from. Supporting furniture had multiple choices as to coverings. Very complicated assortment of cues, balls etc. All of which I was expertly guided through in helping make what ended up being a great decision. Despite not living in New Jersey or New York, Blatt Billiards contracts with local pool table installers. Not knowing anything about the process of the actual installation of a pool table, I ensured that I was going to be home for the entire time. The installers were top rate, they commented that the table was the finest table that they had ever put together. Clear directions, quality parts etc. EVERYTHING was outstanding! (It gave me a lot of comfort that the money spent was well worth it). (These installers did 6 tables a week for the past 6 years) From the table to the cues, the balls, supporting furniture etc, the installers had NOTHING but OUTSTANDING comments about the table and all of the components and again gave supporting reasons why. I would recommend Blatt Billiards to anyone interested in purchasing a pool table, especially a multi-functional table, like the one that I purchased. Top notch company! read more

I just started playing pool and decided to get my first starter cue and a case. I looked up pool supply places, and decided to go with Blatt Billiards. I couldn't be happier, I ordered a 2x2 black leather case and a McDermott L9 Lucky cue. Blatt Billiards called me and informed me that the case I ordered was unfortunately out of stock, I asked if they would cover the difference on another case if I could find one since I really was looking forward to receiving that case for the price I found it at. I called back and told them I couldn't find one, the guy on the phone told me "Don't worry about it, we'll take care of you. Have a great day." Simple as that. When it came in the mail, I looked up the case they sent me and they had upgraded me to a McDermott 2x2 case to go with my cue! I was absolutely ecstatic. We entrusted the full restoration of our late 19th Century Brunswick Balke Collender "Popular" model table to the Roeder family at Blatt Billiards. From the start of our initial visit with David and Steve Roeder in NYC, followed by a trip to the NJ shop and a tour by Bruce Roeder and his son, Jeff, through the series of decisions to be made with Jeff, who led the project, the experience was an enjoyable one throughout. Jodi, who handled scheduling, and Angel and Chuck, who first disassembled and returned three months later to set it up are all true professionals. Watching Angel spend a good 2 hours just on leveling the table underscored their care in getting it right. The attention to detail throughout the project was exceptional. We were introduced to Blatt Billiards by the builder of our custom English billiards table from London. We were moving from England to Connecticut and they professionally rebuilt the table and was great to work with. A year later, our table was badly damaged by a flood in our house and additionally we were moving across country in the US. They repaired the table to a beautiful finish, was able to source a new felt from the same supplier in England, the table is balanced and they also fixed the full size slate. They transported it safely across the US and installed it professionally again. Given the very difficult work and stress of a damaged high end billiards table made in England, the team at Blatt was responsive, provided excellent service and overall nice. I've been going to Blatt Billiards for about 15 years, starting with their old location on Broadway by Union Square. They have always had an excellent and thorough supply of any billiards cue sticks, tip tools, accessories, felt, gameroom laps, tips and balls. They also change cue tips, asking for what level of shooter I am, so they can match me up with an appropriate cue tip. If I need a specific tip, they will surely have this. They also carry a huge line of scuffers, gloves, bridges and anything else you will need. Brian, who is a 3rd generation owner, helped me quite a bit. He was as enthusiastic as a new salesman, and he gave me lots of help and respect in locating my request. This was both via email and in person.
