This place is great! Only place in manhattan that sells a fantastic selection of dart supplies. You can try out any pair on their dartboard so you know what you're getting. Simply Put, Blatt Billiards is the best there is. I know of the showrooms in New York, where I have visited, and New Jersey. I also knew them when they were downtown on Broadway, with their five-story building -- a combination showroom and veritable museum of pool tables, some of which were 200 years old. They refurbished my Atlantic Buffalo (Atlantic Billiards, Brooklyn), a 5' x 10' table made in 1920. The craftsmanship was impeccable. They brought out the dark Tiger oak wood grain. I know they do custom-made tables and have a range of cues, from modestly priced all the way up. They once had 3,000 tables in inventory. But I have lost track of how many they have now. I asked if they would set up my table before Thanksgiving, when my family was coming. They had it done the Tuesday before. The set up was peerless--pockets set right, table level, the most beautiful green cloth you ever laid eyes on. I will never stop singing their praises. They are the best in the world at what they do. I'm an architect and I worked on a condo project in NYC where the client wanted custom pool tables in their amenity space, and it seemed like Blatt Billiards was the place to go to get it done. This review has been a long time coming and I don't quite know where to begin my rave of this small, family owned business or the way I feel we have been cared for whilst working with them. I started corresponding with Laurin in December 2019 with the hope of getting a pool/dining table. From our first phone call she was helpful, considerate, thoughtful, and extremely approachable, friendly and enthusiastic. She talked me through all of the possible options, sent over samples, went over designs and special considerations and ultimately helped me choose a fusion pool/dining table. All this she did under time constraints as I was hoping to have the table in our new home for my husband's birthday. When obstacles presented themselves - as they often do with big investment pieces - she did her absolute best to find a remedy. (One of the railings on the table broke during shipment; she phoned to notify me of this and suggested sending and installing the table regardless so that we could still have it for my husband's birthday. She simultaneously ordered a replacement piece and is having the installers come back to change the railing.) As I told Lauren myself, she is a true customer representative. She ultimately serves the customers' best interests with empathy and pride. I'm so grateful for having had the pleasure of doing business with her. Blatt has been around since 1923. They recently moved from the Union Square area to its current location. If you're seriously into billiards or darts there is not better place in the city to go. They offer the best of the best equipment when it comes to either and really know their stuff. The only thing that may turn off some buyers is that some of the guys here can be a little abrasive and they don't carry any budget friendly gear. They aren't ripping you off as everything they have is priced fairly, they just don't have low end darts, pool tables, cues, or so on. When I need shafts or flights for my darts there's really no other place in the city to go. I'm sure if I had the space and budget for a custom pool table Blatt would be the first place to check out. read more

Not only does he know what he's talking about, but there's no sales pressure at all. I came in the store a few times thinking that I'd have to spend more money. After playing a few games, he listened to exactly what I wanted (and put on some tunes on his jukebox -- customer service to the max!), and then offered a solution that was better than what I had in mind. In a few weeks my cue arrived in perfect condition (as promised). We played again on his pool table and then I took it home. Couldn't be happier. His prices are just as good as on the internet. Dart Love!! Years ago I was on a bar dart league in the city and would come into the Union Square location for replacement flights/shafts etc. Even bought my first "fancy" darts there. Haven't played seriously in over 7 years, but have been getting friends into it lately and decided it was time for a new set. I -very- briefly considered ordering a set online, but immediately decided against - because you REALLY need to throw a set of darts to know if you love them or not. Imagine my delight to find out that Blatt Billiards had relocated to a location quite convenient to my office! Immediate plans to visit during lunch were made. Brian was super helpful (and handsome!) He listened to my schpiel and took out a few sets for me to throw, keeping in mind that I wasn't ready for the gorgeous high end darts, beautiful as they were... Tried a few different weights and a few different grips until I fell in love with one particular set. :-D The current location has ample space to browse the darts/supplies.
