My son was having a hard time with the "perfect" boot and ski pant rental. We had to try several during a VERY busy Holiday weekend morning, but the staff kept giving us options, and because of that, he was comfortable and happy for both days of skiing. If your feet hurt, and pants are uncomfortable, it will ruin the entire experience. Sooooo, thank you again. We have been here about 8 times now and it's the only place we go. read more

Came at a good time...quick and efficient service. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. Cashier lady was super sweet and friendly ("hello, welcome, how are you, goodbye, have a great day!"). Much better price (with Yelp coupon too) than renting at Snow Valley. My kid's snowboard binding was a little troublesome for him (he's just a 2nd timer on snowboards), but maybe it's just that he's 7 years old. I did not think through renting ski equipment really prior to the morning we were supposed to go skiing so hopped onto yelp and found Blauer. They made everything so simple! I filled out the online rental paperwork but then we showed up less than a half hour later. They shared that I it's typically ready within a couple hours of filling it out, but they still got me in and out in under 15 minutes even with it being a busy holiday weekend and plenty of people in the store! We were on our way and on the slopes just like that! The prices were great and rwturninf was a breeze too! Definitely do thee online rentaL form (preferably the night before at least) but even if not, Blauer made it easy! read more

We had such a positive experience renting from Blauer's, from start to finish! I rented equipment online and when we went to pick it all up it was so convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a mishap during our first day and my son ended up breaking his wrist. Since we wouldn't be using the rentals for the second day, we returned them that first night. Without hesitation they were apologetic and refunded our second day of rentals without us even having to ask. It was such a nice surprise! I recently stopped by with friends, one of which has a cabin in the area and this is her to-go rental shop. The girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful - even telling us snow conditions and how to get additional discount on their website. Whenever I go skiing I'll come back here to rent. read more

This was my first time snowboarding and Blauer Ski & Board made it really easy. Their prices aren't expensive at all. They're have a really great deal. I rented the snowboard, boots and bindings and spent about $30. The snowboard actually looked cool. The rental process was really easy and fast. Returning the rentals took less than 5 minutes. I love their online booking. I drive up, check in, sign the paperwork, and find that our gear is waiting for us. I had a good experience that two times I've been here, prices are affordable it's indeed close to the resorts. You must show up early or you will waiting for a while to get your rentals. The snowboard package with boots included was what you would expect, pretty much almost as the same from renting from the resort except cheaper. Staff has been friendly the times I've been here. I took up skiing full time this year after some abortive attempts earlier in life. I visited several different resorts and tried different rental services as well, both at resorts and at shops before the resorts. Generally speaking, you save both money and time if you rent at a place like Blauers instead of the resort. What separates Blauers from others I tried was high quality gear. I loved the Salomon skis they offered, nearly new; so much so that I purchased them late season along with boots and poles. The price was very reasonable. They continued to service the skis after I got them. I've had excellent service in other ways too. I purchased some nice gloves for my wife but they weren't quite what she wanted. They exchanged quickly and easily. Finally, if you are going to Snow Valley Resort, you can save a little money and often a lot of time in the ticket line by getting a lift ticket there with your rental. In all, they are great people. Friendly, helpful. And they will save you some money if you are on your way to Snow Valley or the Big Bear Resorts. read more

Went here on Saturday with friends. I had my own board and needed to readjust my bindings. The man was really generous and I got it adjusted at no cost. This place also took really good care of all their rental snowboards. The bindings and boards were all in good shape and well maintained. My friend who rented them had no problem with the boot, bindings and boards. Definitely will become a regular visitor to this place if I go snowboarding. read more

We have twice rented equipment heading up to Snow Valley. Prices are great, equipment great, and the staff is very helpful. Today, we rented equipment and were fogged out at Snow Valley. After a few very slow runs due to extremely poor visibility, we waited in the lodge for it to clear, and then headed back down the mountain to return our equipment. To our surprise, they offered to give us a rain check for the equipment since we had been fogged out! Great company! read more

Came in here for the first time for a President's Day ski weekend, looking for a cheaper, quicker alternative to renting at the ski resorts for 2 days. Blauer's is right on the way to Snow Valley if you're heading east on Rt 18, so it was a convenient stop. They also have two locations in Big Bear. Ski packages (skis, poles, and boots) started at $15.50, compared to $30 at the mountain. They also have a 15% off rentals coupon on their website that you can print out first to bring the price down even further. The equipment seemed to be higher quality than what I got at Snow Valley last time I went, but I'm a beginner skiier so I can't say for sure. They also had discounted lift tickets to Snow Valley, although the passes we bought on liftopia the previous day were cheaper. There were several people in front of us in the store, but we were in and out in about 15-20 minutes. When we got to Snow Valley, there was easily 100+ people waiting in line for rentals, so I'm real glad I stopped here first. I'll definitely return on my next ski trip in the area. read more

We tried everything on to make sure it all fit well, swapped out one pair of boots, and then we were off to the slopes. It was a very simple process. During pick up, the front desk was very friendly.
