Let me just start by saying that my boyfriend and I love blaze, but we have had such horrible experiences (like closed during normal business hours, not honoring in-store orders, or just horrible service all around) that we stopped going for quite a while. We had a craving & are so glad we chose to give Blaze another chance. We literally drove 20 minutes out of the way to come to this location because we've completely given up on most of the others, but I think the girl who helped us out has changed our minds. OLIVIA!! She and the other employees were so efficient here, and generous with the toppings/dressings. Not once did I have to ask for more or less. She was spot on with everything and truly made the experience here!! Olivia quickly handled both of our pizzas and cheese bread with care, another girl was cleaning the whole time, and the other crew was putting in work in the back. There have been too msny instances where only two people work this location during dinner periods. Its unacceptable that at this instance today that i came in at the exact same time as the couple in front of me. However, I know Blaze is all about customer service and being friendly, but at this location it's almost over the top and too much. I came in on a Sunday evening, and the pizza assemblers? On the line were just too chatty. I'm all for being friendly, but they were forcing conversation to the detriment of my pizza and it slowed down the process of putting on my ingredients. I kinda just wanted to get some pizza and instead had to fend off questions that were keeping me from enjoying some tasty pie! I visited the Glendora location this past Friday as I was in the area with a couple of friends. They wanted pizza so we decided to give Blaze pizza a try. As this was my very first time in a blaze pizza, I was surprised to see that it was similar to Pieology in the sense that you pretty much are in a "subway sandwich" line directing the employees how to make your pizza. I suppose that I was expecting an actually pizzeria, however, I thought that the process could potentially be on the fun side. When we walked in, the restaurant was not too busy, and there were about 6 employees working behind the counter. One thing that I noticed was that no one bothered to say hello to us. The girl working at the beginning of the line didn't bother to say anything. I asked how her day was in which her response was "original crust?" We asked a few questions and were given very vague answers. Keep in mind that this was my first time, and it was off to a rocky start. I asked the employee what the difference between the cauliflower and Keto crusts were, in which her reply was "they are the same price". I figured at this point, the employee must have been having a bad day, wasn't able to hear me (although the restaurant was almost empty), was lacking patience, or just didn't care. Anyways it was a poor representation of Blaze pizza as a first impression. I asked her the question again, but made sure to ask what the difference was ingredient wise. Her response was "the Keto crust is for people on the keto diet". Yup... and that was that. My friends and I looked at one another, smiled, turned around, and left the restaurant. It was blatantly obvious that Blaze was in no shape or form willing to offer us a good experience. If the service was already this poor, just imagine how poor the food must be as well. If I wanted to be unheard or ignored, I would have stayed at home with my dog (I swear she loves me...occasionally). But that is neither here or there...... An observation that needs to be made as well, was that a few of the employees had gloves on, and were reaching in and out of their pockets to check their phones, and continued to use the gloves when handling food. So much for learning about cross contamination, as well as public health risks especially coming out of Covid I hate writing negative reviews, but this needs to be told as a warning to others who may be on the fence about this location. read more
