I placed an online order specifically to align with my limited lunch break, expecting it to be ready or close to ready upon arrival. When I got there at the designated time, I was told the order hadn't even been started, despite staff being available and just standing around. As a result, I lost most of my lunch break waiting, which defeats the entire purpose of ordering ahead. This was really disappointing and inconvenient. Wanted to try the new prosciutto pizza, but the sauce was too watery and they could not make it for me. To be honest, the watery sauce looked un appetizing.. so I went with the usual pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Now, is it my imagination or have the price has gone up and the amount of mozzarella they put on your pizza gone down? I feel like this is a chipotle move all over again. Pls be careful and watch your receipts. I came in for 1 pizza BYO. I was tired but when I paid I said "no need for receipt" and did not see tip percentage option when I swiped. I noticed the amount was $39 for a $19 pizza to go. So I said I only ordered 1 pizza. She was going to give me the pizza for free but i said ill will still pay and when she gave my refund receipt, it was now billed 47$ as opposed to 39$ overcharge. This review is honestly for all the Blaze Pizza locations I've been to yet, including this one. With the app and the rewards/points system they have you really can get a lot of delicious bang for your buck. Use those coupons folks. Every other pizza or so we've had a free pizza or some kind of significant discount when we come because of these rewards. IYKYK! The service can honestly be hit or miss at various locations and times but the quality of pizza and ingredients makes up for that in my opinion. Went to order the 1/2 pizza and salad. Was told there was no goat cheese because other had gotten there before me and ask for more. Granted this was 7:50 pm on a Friday night. The ceaser salad was almost gone and so i had to have the other salad offered. I almost walked out. Went to go to tables but some were dirty with food still on them so i wiped off the table with my hand. Received my gluten free pizza half and one side was burnt and the other part was not cooked or lightly cooked, as in the past my pizza has been crunchy, but i could fold it in half. The staff looked like they were not excited and maybe there for the paycheck only. The bathroom was dirty. It is said that you can always tell the kitchen by the bathroom. I feel they need to account for more people wanting more on their inventory counts which is the managers job. SERVICE: It was extremely busy as it is Pi Day and all regular pizzas in store were $3.14. I knew this already so I wasn't surprised when I waited about half an hour to 45 minutes to get my pizza. I was willing to wait as the original price is usually $13.99. It was so busy, but they were super friendly and helpful while I built my own pizza! Plenty of fresh ingredients and they were refilling them promptly when they were running low. I appreciated how they still gave great service on such a busy day. They made sure to ask if I wanted anything else more before moving onto the next section. FOOD: Fresh out of the oven, it was just amazing. The crust was crunchy and crisp while the ingredients were just perfect. I love how they ask if you want additional drizzles before you take your pizza. I asked for an olive oil drizzle and arugula on top. Yummy! OVERALL: Blaze Pizza is a great stop for a quick bite and definitely even better on Pi Day. Came in today during lunch , got the build your own with mushroom, Brenda was very nice and attentive. Adam cooked the pizza perfectly ! Sometimes its dry or extra toasty- today was spot on. The place was clean , the tables were clean, the drinks area was neat, sometimes other locations tend to have spills all over. The ambiance is casual , noise level is normal. The food is always good since the customer is in charge of creating their own pizza while the staff makes it. Whenever my kids want to have their custom pizzas with their specific requests the staff is nice and patient. Any questions, I have they answer it. Also, the eating area is clean and spacious. The outdoor seating area is nice as well. Highly recommend you join the Blaze Awards program if you come often enough. The pizzas are the perfect size for 1-2 people. I'm very thankful for this Blaze Pizza and the workers there. My kid has severe food allergies, especially nuts and dairy. The workers were very accommodating and went beyond my expectations to make sure the pizza had safe ingredients and prevent cross contamination. They provided a full ingredient list so I can check if there is dairy in the pepperoni and sausage. Also they suggested the vegan cheese and it is quite delicious and safe for my kid. Overall my dairy and nut allergic kid really likes their pizza and had no adverse reactions so I will be coming back again. We went there last night. We were greeted by a friendly employee. We ordered a gluten free build your own and a Herbivore. She accidentally added ricotta cheese to the Herbivore. She realized it and wanted to throw it out. I love ricotta and told her it was a great mistake and to leave it on. The gf pizza was a nightmare. A different employee brought out 3 regular crusts before bringing out a gluten free crust. We asked for the gf pizza to be cooked well. It wasn't. I understand people make mistakes, but bringing the wrong thing out 3 times is unacceptable. It was very unfortunate.. My review got removed, not sure why they removed it but here it goes again. Be careful when you eat here because clearly the staff are not careful enough to make sure that the pizza is debris free . We found a piece of plastic in a mouth full of pizza my mom spit out. Her gums started to bleed. We are grateful. She's a slow at chewing and didn't gobble the shard of plastic . When we went into the restaurant to tell them what happened, they did not even offer to replace the pizza or give in-store credit for the next time. Instead, they denied having utensils that color (green) and claimed that they use a third-party to cut and wash and prepare their vegetables/ingredients. I run multiple restaurant locations, so I know that this business is not easy. However, I gave this particular location 3 chances to make it right. I spoke to a Team member, Steven on 2 different occasions since the incident who I made aware of an over done pizza that was not edible. Than went through their automated complaint system which obviously is just as broken since I still have not received any response at this point. My kids school, Gladestone Elementary was doing a fund raiser with Blaze pizza. I did a preorder on-line to help make it easier for the operations. First time customer and because it was for my kids school I got a bit of everything, with 7 pizzas to help both their business and the school. All was good except for my Wife's pizza the Red Vine. Fully burnt, ordered as is with no type of modifications where they also forgot to add their key ingredient basil. As you can see what was given to me at the time is no where close to the picture my Wife was expecting when she ordered. The Red Vine pizza was not edible. Being overwhelmed during a school fund raiser is going to happen and it is expected to have a few burnt pizzas. But on my end, I was just asking to get some kind of credit at a later time knowing that their operations was not prepared to handle the volume of business they got from Gladestone on September 14th. The fact is I made every effort on reaching out, spoke to their team member, Steven where I gave all the detailed information on two different phone calls days apart. Then went through their formal complaint automatic system when no one bothered to reach out. The automatic system runs just as good as their in house system?! California is a very difficult state to run restaurants, but when you can't take ownership to handle business opportunities to help the business grow it is a short lived moment to eventually be out of business. Hoping this gives you better information to prepare for the next fund raiser or at least decline these type of events on not accepting the extreme business where you can affect the integrity of the operations. read more
