If you love fried fish and seafood, this is the place for you! It's located in an unsuspecting shopping center and if it wasn't for the sign, we would have missed it! But once you walk in, you're greeted by welcoming staff members and delicious food! It was our first time there so we had to try the popular fish and chips dish. We also ordered their coconut shrimp and cajun salmon dish. The coconut shrimp was one of the best I've ever had! It came out piping hot and the coconut taste was prominent. I'm not a big fish person but this place converted me! The Cajun salmon was perfectly seasoned and paired well with the garlic rice. It was crispy but not over cooked. The fish and chips were light but flavorful. And the portion size was a plus! Everything we got out was delicious and was large enough to share. Will come back again to try other menu items. As a note, it gets really busy around 12 so either come early or make a reservation!

We were craving for fish and chip and found this place with great reviews, so we decided to stop by. There was a line when I got here during dinner time, but the line was moving pretty quickly. Services were prompt, and our servers were very friendly. They were also very attentive. We ordered lobster bisque, fish and chips, shrimp taco, and fish taco. The lobster bisque was very flavorful with the perfect texture (it was not too thick or too watery)! It has a lot of lobster meat in it. The shrimp and fish inside the taco was very fresh. The fish had a very crispy batter, but not overly thick. The fish was not oily, and fish was flavorful! The chips was crispy! The kale salad that came with the fish and chips was a surprise! The salad dressing was a bit sweet. It was refreshing. I will come back again for sure! This become my favorite fish and ship restaurant in Los Angeles!

Great customer service. Food was great! Clam chowder was ok, but the smoked ahi tuna plate was so flavorful. Licked my plate clean! Spacious layout.

The food is so ridiculously good. The quality is so ridiculously good. The service is so ridiculously good. Ocean House deserves every 5 star review that they have received. Their pricing is so incredibly fair for the quality and portions you receive. I may have found my new favorite post workout dinner spot. The crisp on the fish and chips was unreal even after the food cooled down. Safe to say they have the recipe for their batter down to a tee because I am still thinking about it right now.

    New partition with logo. nice.

Dropped in for fish n chips. pricey but the batter was crunchy. You have to request the malt vinegar or you will only get tarter sauce and catsup. The dining room is nice and the staff are attentive. The 3 piece fish meal was tasty, filling and I even took one piece home to my favorite food critic, (The Wife). She loved it too. Even though it was not cod. We will be back to try other items.

This was my first visit to this new seafood grill. The service was friendly. I was seated promptly. I didn't wait long for my order. I will serve piping hot. I have to highly recommend the vegetable egg rolls. There were three pieces. It was served piping hot with the usual sweet-and-sour sauce. The wrappers were very crisp, not soggy, and the vegetables was very crunchy. I also ordered the Burundi with black pepper sauce, which is an Asian Seabass topped with a black pepper sauce, fried onion with a grilled asparagus, Japanese red cabbage, and rice, berry rice. I thought the fish was pretty fair. It was cooked. Well I'd like the seasoning had a little bit of spiciness to it. the asparagus were perfect. They weren't soggy had a bit of crunch, as well as the red cabbage was in a slaw type presentation. I never heard of Rice berry rice, which is a very dark, almost black sticky type rice with a very kind of nutty flavor. It was it was OK. I'm not a big rice fan. I think I would order a different rice substitute next time but overall I really like this place and would plan to come back again whenever I had the need for and a taste for fish or seafood. I believe their menu is quite extensive with a lot of different choices. It has a nice open, clean ambience very modern appearing. My only criticism would be I'm a big fan of Arnold Palmer T, which I thought in this particular case was a bit on the weak side not much taste of lemonade in the iced tea I think was unsweetened

We always have a fine meal here. The prices are reasonable especially given the quality of the food and service. There are several meals here that distinguish this places over others for me. One is the Crispy Rainbow trout. I have had this many times here and each time it is excellent (crunchy on the outside moist and tender on the inside. Another "must try" is the crispy tune and sweet chili sauce -- Its a tender flavorful piece of tuna with a little kick of flavor from the sauce

We tried this place for the first time, we were very excited about the fried fish and the clam chowder. As soon as we got there, the service was very nice, polite and attentive. The place is clean and well organize. The one thing we didn't like was the claim chowder seems to me there was a potato base which we didn't like we prefer New England clam chowder. We order the cod, fish and chips. The fish was OK, but it was very thin and a lot of batter on it. It was dry. It was not flaky or moist. The french fries needed to be a little bit more cook or maybe I like a little more crunchy. The portions were bigger... the kale slaw was raspy on my throat. I think they need to cut a little bit finer or blanched a bit . I did not enjoy that. We may stop by to give them another chance, but that right now I have no desire to visit this restaurant.

The fish is swai, so not alot of meat (get the cod if you want a more traditional style) but the batter is light and super crispy!

Came on a date lunch with the husband who has been craving fish and chips., so we ordered the fish and chips. I got it with fries but really wanted to try their garlic rice. I am glad I did. As a Filipino, we love garlic rice, honestly I could have just eaten that with an egg over easy and some longanisa or fried spam. But back to the fish, super crispy and flavorful, but the fish was thin and I should have went with the cod, so I could have more fish. Husband really enjoyed his, because he loves the batter. He did however not like the kale slaw. He wanted a traditional slaw. The second issue is the sauces. For the amount of fish you are served (3 lg pieces) your only given 1 of your choice. He was given 1 tartar sauce and I received 1 little container of malt vinegar. I want feeling the malt, and I do not like tartar sauce so I asked for cocktail sauce. I guess that is not a sauce on the list so they charge you extra. Not to found of that, I got it because I love cocktail sauce, it's not even a homemade sauce from their kitchen. Overall the staff are friendly, the refil your water when it gets low (thank you for that) and the food is good. I think if we go back it will be for one of the grilled fish plates, or even their fish tacos.

Battered fish & chips with garlic rice substituting coleslaw.

It's a small restaurant, the decor is a consistent theme with wood carved fishes/whales and various naughtical pieces. the staff is very friendly, gives you your space without completely disappearing, occasionally asks if you need anything without hovering over you, free fountain drink refills.(Pepsi! YES!! ) The food comes out piping hot, so be careful, the staff also warns of hot food. I ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer, the coating breaks apart easily, so may want to use your fingers to eat, though, not the best I've had, they are most definitely not the worst I've had, they had crisp with just the right amount of flavor. For the entree, I had the (pictured) battered fish & chips and substituted garlic rice instead of coleslaw,(second substitute option is garlic bread) the rice looked plain but was perfectly flavored, the fish was crispy outside and soft inside with a light flavor, the fries were good, some fries were a bit over salted while others had no salted. My wife had the battered fish tacos, with beans and garlic rice, the beans tasted great and my wife loved the tacos, the portions are big enough that you can share or better yet, take leftovers home. the food came out of the kitchen in short time,10-15 minutes. The restaurant was clean, open air to the kitchen. (Kitchen in view) The prices were decent, not fast food prices, but not fine dining prices, our appetizer, meals and fountain drinks totaled +/- $40. I would definitely recommend for a quick bite or a lingering meal.

Catfish, Fish & Chips, Daughter had fried shrimp. All 10/10

Finally tried this place after passing by so many times. We were not disappointed! Every single thing on our plates was delicious! The fish and chips were not greasy and the fish melted in your mouth. The catfish was cooked to perfection and the kale salad on the side was splendid. Bonus: try the Thai Tea, delicious! Service was amazing. Such nice staff. Will definitely keep coming here!

This was the battered fish tacos. My husband already started eating before my camera could take a pic.

It was a small room where the bar is. We almost just left right then and there. We decided to stay because a friend was meeting us. We all ordered the Bistecca and it was bland the meat was poor quality like a $5 cut of meat the potatoes under seasoned and the green beans undercooked. The worst part is that it's $30. I could get a pretty great meal at a nicer place for $30. Their berry martini is $22 which for a semi nice place is a bit crazy. Their wine selection is affordable though. The place is super haunted if that's your thing. I wouldn't return here ever mainly because the owner is really rude and the food is just okay borderline not good.

The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
