The patty is smashed just right, with crispy, caramelized edges and a juicy, flavorful center, while the melted cheese blends perfectly into the beef. The bacon adds that extra smoky, savory crunch, which pairs insanely well with the subtle sweetness of the Hawaiian bun. It creates that perfect sweet-and-salty balance, with every bite hitting a mix of juicy, crispy, and soft textures. The toppings stay simple and fresh, letting the flavor of the burger really shine. I had it with a side of tater tots, which were crispy and satisfying, but honestly, I feel like the sweet potato fries might've been the better move. That slight sweetness would've complemented the burger even more and taken the whole meal up a notch. Overall, it's a standout burger--simple, flavorful, and done right. Definitely something I'd order again... next time with the sweet potato fries.

I'm pretty selective when it comes to cheesesteaks, but he assured me this was THE spot. I ordered a large West Coast Cheesesteak with provolone and their cheddar cheese sauce. First impressions were positive. The sandwich was filled with an ample amount of fillings. This place definitely does not skimp on the meat. I was informed by the worker that their "The Big One" has even more meat. I'll have to order that next time. After the first bite, I was pleased by the thin yet crispy, juicy, well-seasoned beef. The bread was the perfect complement, soft and soaking up the beef juices for a perfect bite. Despite soaking up the juices, the bread held its form well while also being chewy and airy. The provolone cheese was spread evenly throughout the sandwich, with the fresh mushrooms and jalapeños enhancing the flavors. The biggest surprise of my meal was the cheese sauce. I'm a big texture guy, so I was hesitant at first. A bad cheese sauce makes a sandwich soggy while overpowering the flavor of the meat. This was the opposite. The sauce was velvety smooth, and spread well after each pour. It was thick enough that it held its form and didn't saturate the bread. Very rich, creamy, and flavorful. Talked to the employee and he said they make their cheese sauce in-house. Very cool! This spot lived up to my coworker's hype, and he's easily earned my trust when it comes to food recs. I've had authentic cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, and this place is darn close to the stuff they have out there. I live far away, but I'm willing to drive up to this place next time I crave a cheesesteak roll.

Their tater tots alone are practically a meal. They're crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and well-seasoned without being overly salty. They're great with ketchup, but I like mixing half of them with my homemade lemon pepper seasoning, which takes them to another level. The cheesesteaks are generously portioned and packed with tender, buttery beef smothered in plenty of melted cheese. Every bite is rich, savory, and satisfying, making this the perfect spot whenever you're craving a hearty, cheesy sandwich.

There's a bar like I mentioned and if you sit in the dining area where the bar is, don't expect anyone to come take your order because you have to get up and order at the bar for drinks and food.

Please , respectfully speaking come and perform your job duties. I know times are hard. A sign of the times, grocery prices too high, gas is too high. I read the bad reviews and noticed that most of the bad reviews are about customer service. I dropped off my husband to the Ontario airport and I live in Covina. San Dimas was closer to me. My car was running empty from driving all day. I filled up the car at the San Dimas Costco. I was closer to the Popeyes in San Dimas. I was very hungry and tired, all I had this day was breakfast. I stopped by on 6/25 /26 a Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. I was starving. I was looking forward to my 3 piece combo meal.I wanted to eat it at home in Covina. As soon as the cashier handed the meal to me through the drive -through. The meal stunk, like spoiled, rotten eggs. I was so hungry and it did not smell good like a fresh cooked meal from Popeyes. I was looking forward to this meal out of all the choices of foods in the area. I chose Popeyes in San Dimas.I got home and surely the chicken smelled rotten and spoiled and it was sticky almost slimy. I was afraid to get food poisoning. I did not drive back to return it. I was hungry and so tired. I ended throwing it away in the trash. I drank the lemonade and ate the small side order of rice and beans and the apple pie. I'm sure they are selling chicken past it expired date. So disappointing. I guess in time we will find out if any one dies of food poisoning from Popeyes serving rotten, spoiled chicken.I'm so turned off to eat Popeyes ever again. Not worth getting a refund. I hope someone does not get food poisoning from this location. At least there's an outlet like Yelp to let the public be aware. Taking the time to write this post is necessary to alert the public. I don't care about a refund. I care about customer service and trusting a franchise that serves food that will not make someone sick or die from food poisoning. I wonder when was the last time a health inspector was there? I think it's time to get the health inspector go visit this location. Same day 6/25/26 Response Update: Dear AI Edwin E . Business Manager for your response to my post. I'm offended by the fact you require of me, the customer to do the leg work for you. I provided the date 6/25/26 at 7:00 pm I ordered a 3 piece combo. I mentioned the side order of rice and beans, lemonade for a drink, an apple pie. I also said it was a drive-through order. Check the camera that is above the menu ordering sign if you want to know if I was there on 6/25/26 at 7:00 pm. I paid cash for my order. I clearly identified the location is the San Dimas store. Do your job and figure it out with the help of the store manager. What is going on at this location? Do not disturb me putting me to work as if you need this information to do a better job at this location. I do not need you to follow up with me. I was clear, that I am no longer interested in Popeyes franchise. It does not matter to me if you improve your customer service or if your food quality is improved. Time will tell if you are able to continue to keep customers paying for bad service and bad food. The Yelp review app sent me an email with an update.I do not wish to be contacted or updated.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5
