I had to stop in Lancaster for work and parked right outside of this place. My partner loves Hot Chicken sandwiches so I figured I'd get one and some tenders for myself. It's not a large place but there's adequate seating. It's pretty clean as well. I waited and made some small talk with the employees. They were kind enough to throw in some free fries for the longer wait. I have to apologize for not having any photos because I didn't have a chance to take any. We DEVOURED this meal. We've had Dave's hot chicken and others and Blazin J's just blows em all out of the water. I got the mild tenders and they were indeed mild but with so much flavor. You do get the smallest hint of something spicy but it just adds to the allure. The chicken was juicy even after reheating in the air fryer. The fries are the best I've ever had. Hands down. I cannot recommend them enough. The sandwich looked and smelled amazing. We got the Hot flavor and I was told it was perfect. From someone that eats Nashville hot chicken sandwiches quite often, he seemed incredibly impressed and said that we WILL return for another round. All in all, service was friendly with a warm smile. We went to Blazin J's on our daughter's recommendation. We walked in to a stressed young girl working. She said she would get to us, but she was by herself and had a huge order. We said that was fine and sat down at one of only three tables in there. A gentleman offered to take our order, but she yelled at him that she had it. They began to argue, and she told us that he had been disrespecting her. She continued to complain out loud, talking to herself about how incompetent he was and how stressed she was. She took our order, and then we continued to wait. Unfortunately, we ordered a waffle, and those take longer according to what she waa saying to herself behind the counter. In the meantime, the man took a break at her insistence and returned. She began yelling at him at that point, and they began insulting each other. She apologized to the large party that it had taken an HOUR (!), but that she was on the last waffle. It took over 30 mins for us to get 2 sandwich combos with one waffle to share. Their soda machine was down, so we settled on lemonade. I guess the ice was down, too, as there was none in it. We also were not given napkins or condiments. We just wanted out of there though. Betweeh their pandora station blaring inappropriate lyrics to the throw down we were convinced we were going to witness, we wanted to leave and eat in peace. (I left out that at one point, he called her a name starting with a B, which made her yell and talk to herself even more.). We had parked across the street, so we sat in our car and ate. Within the walk just across the street, our fries were cold, as was the waffle. We ate our sandwiches and threw away the rest, including the warm lemonade. We read tons of reviews. There are people you just can't please. We are. not those people. We rarely complain or write a negative review. We try to find the positive and build up other people. I have always been a huge fan of Blazin Js, but unfortunately the lack of service I experienced this weekend was an utter disappointment, to say the least. We booked the food truck to come to our neighborhood from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - which is the standard block of time. I sent my two kids down at 5:00 p.m. because they were starving and did not want to wait for my husband and I. They returned with two chicken sandwich combo meals. I asked how the line was and they said there were around 10-11 people coming and going. My husband and I finally started walking down shortly before 6:00 p.m. and as we were about 100 feet away, we see the truck pulling off. Odd since it was only 6:02 p.m. My immediate thought was that they ran out of food or maybe needed to leave due to an emergency. I decided to call the King St. store and spoke with Heather. Heather was not aware that the truck had left and gave me the phone number for the event coordinator. I had no problem calling, but I would have expected her to be a little more apologetic and proactive in wanting to help and try to rectify the situation. I called twice and there was no answer. I called the store back, asked for Heather again. I let her know that no one answered and asked if someone could try and reach out to find out what happened and call me back. In the meantime, I had posted in our neighborhood FB chat that the truck had left (so that folks wouldn't walk down and be just as surprised) and one of the other neighbors was going to email the event coordinator. As I was on the phone with Heather, she said that she had spoken with someone at the Park City location and was told they left because they had been there for 1.5 hours and had received NO customers. I respectfully told Heather that that was not true because my own children had walked down and purchased meals and that I could even send her a picture of their empty containers and a screen shot of the charge on my credit card. I'm confused as to why the employees on the truck would include 4:30 - 5:00 as part of their time when we know that that would be considered their prep and setup time. One neighbor even said her children went over at 4:45 p.m. and were told to come back at 5:00 p.m. I'm also confused why anyone would leave at 6:00 p.m. when you agreed to 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., knowing that many people don't get home from work until that time (or later) and need some additional time to change/get settled after a full day of work. What I'm most upset about is that whomever was working said that they had no customers between the 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. hour that they were there. At that point I knew they were straight up lying. So we had asked our neighbors to not only state what time they arrived, but what they ordered. I can prove that at least 20 orders were placed from 5:00 - 5:40 p.m. So that means they would have started packing up their truck around 5:45 p.m. to be pulling away by 6:00 p.m. Other than myself and my husband, there were a number of folks who were preparing to walk down at the same time or shortly after. We have over 100 homes in our development - your loss Blazin Js. We now live in a world with copious amounts of choices, Google and Yelp reviews galore, and the power of word of mouth advertising (especially in such a small community), your bottom line will be impacted. If you are going to provide less than exceptional service and not be accountable for said service, I show no sympathy. There has been no follow-up to apologize or offer explanation as to what happened. It would take a miracle for me to patronize this business again and I'll be sure to take my foodie friends with me. read more

Really good sandwich that wasn't too spicy! Actually disappointed in the spice, definitely thought it could be more. The chicken was cooked perfectly though and pretty sizable. Blazin Js has INCREDIBLE chicken. There make your own chicken sandwich with the hot honey sauce is out of this world. Their fries are also incredible and the blue lemonade is so delicious. My only complaint is that you have to make sure you check your order. Several times some thing has either been missing from on my MYO sandwich or an item has been missing from the bag. I totally get that people make mistakes, so that's why I keep coming back and will give an amazing review. But it has to be mentioned. Otherwise, the staff and food is incredible. The man who took our order was having a lot of trouble with the ordering system and we had to ask for our drinks (which were part of the Restaurant Week deal). We waited the better part of a half hour for a chicken sandwich and tenders for takeout. Also, not the kind of place I'd eat-in either. The music on the TV was pretty loud. By the time we got the chicken home it was pretty soggy and greasy. Not the crisp we were expecting. You can tell the breading and sauces are tasty, but I think they need to be prepared differently. The seasoning on the fries was very good. I've seen it addressed in other reviews that they're fixing this, but the ventilation problem in there was rough. I didn't get the side that I ordered but the line was long and I just ate it. No free refills and the drink emptied quick. :) Great location, not much seating. The chicken had a good flavor! Forget about chic-fil-a, this place has the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich I've ever had. Previously held in my books by "king of the coop" in Tampa. Now I don't have to travel as far. (Sorry KOTC) The staff are super friendly and always ask how your food was. Seems well staffed and both times I've been there the place has been packed. Both times I got the "J's Way" combo. Bun is Brioche style bun, fresh and soft. Chicken is a huge juicy chunk of pure white meat breast that doesn't fit on the bun, it's a meal in itself. Covered in all sorts of spices and secret sauce. The pickles are delicious. Fresh cut fries are just that, fresh. I'm very picky about my fries and these are great, especially dipped in their ranch dressing (which I'm happy to say isn't kens steakhouse crap that some places pass off as ranch) Had the blue raspberry lemonade to drink, super gmy only complaint was I ran out before the end of my meal, because this sucker is SPICY and requires frequent irrigation of the mouth to calm things down. Facility is a little small but that's what's you get in the city. This place exceeded all of our expectations. The chicken was fresh, plentiful, and expertly prepared. The hot sauce was flavorful, and you can tell they take care of the food by, for example, toasting the bun to ensure it isn't soggy. The French fries were flavorfully seasoned. I have been eating at Blazin Js about once a week for a couple years now and it was one of my favorite restaurants and definitely my favorite chicken spot. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. I have to update my former 5 star review to a 3 star. Blazin Js recently increased their prices, and while their chicken is still the best around it is now just unaffordable. Prior to the price change I would get a 5 piece combo for around $14. It was a little high but worth it. Now with the price change a 5 piece combo is $20. This is way too much. So instead of being a place I eat lunch once a week, it's now a special occasion type place that I go to every 2 or 3 months. The good times have ended. read more

The chicken filet was thick, juicy, and HUGE. I also ordered fries and they gave me a very large amount. The seasoning on the fries is perfect. Not to mention the woman running the place was extremely friendly and nice. They are in the process of getting outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back soon! The first time I went to this restaurant. Excellent customer service and the food was great! The waffles are my favorite. However, during my second visit last night I learned you should eat your food at the restaurant now since they put your food in a paper box. By the time I got home my food was soggy (waffles and the bottom of my fried chicken). They should put the food in a plastic container like when they first opened. The Initial Customer Service: 4 - When I had walked in through the door, I had gotten the attention of a very nice young Spanish lady who exhibited a friendly attitude--which I like. She was friendly, polite, and lighthearted, just like me. (Well, I really try to be!) The Chef: 3 Although he didn't greet me by saying 'hello', or possibly a 'Welcome to our restaurant today...' Now: The 'Hot Honey Sauce': 1 - Lousy. Unsweet, nor did it taste anything like honey had been applied to the meat. BUT... the level of spicyness of the sauce, was OK. It was very low-intensity, which to me, was just fine. But as far s the sweetness of the honey... bullsh. Rediculous. Unsweet, and far too weak. I was expecting a gooey, sweet, and a rich mixture all over my chicken, and what I received was really quite embarrassing for the business, to be blatantly honest. And it was purely unimpressive. From any standpoint. Dollar-value-food Ratio: 2 - Eeeehhh... I don't think so. Not bad, but not too good, either. And certainly, not great. Far from it.
