So the food was good! I got the Bacon BBQ Burger. Nice size, tasted a little bit like a smashburger. Asked for medium, definitely came out well done. My wife got their regular burger and it was cooked to her liking. Eventhough it was not cooked how I prefer, it still tasted good! The fries tasted very very good! I love a shoestring fry! Unfortunately, they charge an extra 6 dollars to upgrade from chips to fries with their burger. The mozzarella sticks were out of this world. This was a very good bang for your buck. Homemade and handbreaded, they were massive. You get two for 8 dollars. The prices here are very high. To put it in perspective, if you go here and get two burgers, upgrade to fries for both burgers, and get two waters, your bill is going to be $48 dollars plus tax.... The decor and scenery in here is incredible! It looks awesome. The seating is very limited. Make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. We went at 430 and about half the tables were blocked off for reservations. Would definitely like to come back here and try different items, every dish that went by looked delicious! read more

For an afternoon snack, I walked into a completely empty Rooster Street Brewing on a random July Wednesday around 3pm. The inside is cozy and the staff were so kind and quick. I ordered the recommended Korean BBQ meatballs. After a short wait, a bowl of 5-6 large meatballs came out. The meatballs were moist and the sauce heavy full of flavor. Thursday nite 6ish , place is packed and noisy. 3 bar seats available waiting for a table was a 1 hour plus wait. $18 cheesesteak with parm fries and extra $6 Took a halh hour plus for our simple orders to arrive. Cheesesteak was a disappointment on several levels Greasey wet and a lousy bun ti boot. Parm fries were grease soaked and soggy . Not a crispy 1 in the cup. My 2 partners one got a burger that was mediocre at best. The other got a salad with a side of chicken... they forgot the dressing. 3 agreed we won't be back ! I'm a tough grader and give 5 stars only for the best of the best. Wife and I went to RS last night for the first time. Everything was excellent! I've had some great pulled pork sandwiches in my day, including my own, and Rooster's was easily one of the best! We had four different beers between us and they were all very good. Not cheap but what is anymore. RS is on our rotation so we will be back for sure. Great job! read more

I stopped here during a recent visit to Lititz. Everything was delicious. We started with the pierogi and sausage appetizer. It was a lot more sausage than I had expected, which I had no problem with because it had a great flavor. The pierogis were very tasty. Overall, a great appetizer. I also ordered a really delightful mocktail. Really yummy and I'm so glad they had options on their menu. For my meal, I got the special, a brisket sandwich on grilled sourdough. It was great! So good! It also came with fries. The fries were also awesome. After the appetizer, I could only eat half the sandwich and only a few fries. I stuck it all in my air fryer to heat up the next day and it was still tasty reheated. Overall, the food was great! When we entered and had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes even though there were over three tables open. There were only two of us and the tables open were for 4+. I suppose they have a policy to not seat parties of only 2 in larger tables. So, that was a little annoying. It did get a little more annoying how slow they cleared and cleaned a table for us once a party of two left. But, I decided maybe we were just being too impatient and it really wasn't a big deal, but worth noting. The waiter was helpful when deciding on what to order. Adorable spot in downtown Lititz. We honestly came here just because the place looked adorable and the photos of food exactly what we were looking for. Something yummy and non-pretentious. The fried chicken sandwich was fantastic. Just ask for the dressing on the side or you may find they've put a tad too much on there. Our waitress was cute and pleasant. Overall the food was good... The problem was my first filet was way over cooked... my wife's burger was slightly undercooked... The first filet was a nice center cut... the remake was what we call in the biz a "head steak" which can be a little tough... it seemed to take way to long to cook a 6 oz filet MR so my guess they needed to butcher a new tenderloin...regardless I asked for the SOS and it was not... The plan was to eat dinner with my wife not watch her eat while I snacked on cold FF... Like I said the food was tasty minus the kinks would have been a good experience ...chalk it up to a bad night... but in my opinion strike one. read more

We absolutely love Rooster Street Butcher. We visit the Lancaster/Lititz area several times a year, and this restaurant has become a staple for each visit. It's so consistently good. Everything, including drink mixes and salad dressings, is housemade, service is friendly and efficient, and the cocktails are amazing. This last visit I had the meatball entree, served with fresh and crusty Italian bread, and absolutely delicious. Their chicken wings are meaty and deliciously smoked, with a variety of flavors available. My only regret is that I'm always too full to order their homemade ice cream sandwich. It's a small restaurant, so you should plan on making reservation. read more

The ranch dressing was plain yogurt. Salad had dressing mixed in the lettuce... not even offered to me on the side... my fault I didn't ask. And hard boiled eggs they must have been trying to get rid of ... my 2oz lettuce and yogurt had 2 eggs chopped in quarters.. Serving sizes for $20 and fries not included... extra $6.... Needless to say we walked out with a $60 bill for 2... we did each have 1 beer... but would not recommend if you're hungry... We will not be back. read more

Yeah. You won't find a better place for meat than a butcher that moonlight's as a restaurant. I had one complaint, and it's easily fixed. We started with the Thai Meatball appetizer which were so incredibly fantastic! I held on to the sweet chili sauce. I had a plan! My husband got the veggie burger, and I got the grilled chicken. Wait, what? We can explain. After two days of beef, we ended up at a restaurant we really wanted to try, but it was late and some of the places we wanted to try in Lititz were serving pub food and limited menus because it was the day if the big craft fair. Rooster Street was literally our only choice because we wanted something a little more upscale, but we didn't want meat, but we noticed they had chicken and veggie and cauliflower so we ate there vowing to try the steaks and filet mignon the next time. This was a pre-flight test. The food was all delicious, veggie burger was fresh and home made, my lemonade mocktail with various berries was astounding. The chicken was fresh, and on a bed of creamy earthy quinoa, a sun dried tomato purée, and bell pepper, all delicious. The chicken tasted like poultry, nit what you get at the market, it was super fresh and had a nice crispy sear. But I was hoping for some type of sauce on top, and when it didn't come with anything, I used the left over Thai chili sauce and it was a knock out, savage idea. I even got accolades form the server, who was fantastic and sweet. The only thing I'd change here is the lighting. We felt it was way too bright, dimming it a bit would make it feel cozier and inviting, while the bright lighting makes it feel too informal. That's good if the vibe is like a pork butchery with a ship lap and a country vibe, but the decor here is Soho Bohemian Chic, and that requires a whole other level of lighting. We always have that one remark. "Get a dimmer!" Lighting is like background music in a movie, you need to hear it but it doesn't need to be louder than the conversation. Lighting is the same. Subtle lighting also created an ambiance of higher perceived value for the money you're spending. Kudos to Lititz for upping its game with quality food. We'll be back for steaks around thanksgiving time! High praise for Rooster Street. read more

My wife and I walked in and were immediately greeted by a rude hostess. When we asked if there was anything available for two, she simply pointed at counter-style seating without a word. After sitting briefly, we noticed two open bar seats and moved there. When I informed the hostess, she made a snarky remark instead of acknowledging the change. The bartender then asked us to stand while the bar was cleaned and took their time getting to us. When they finally served us, it was with zero enthusiasm, and the draft beers we received were terrible. This isn't a fine dining establishment in NYC--it's a mediocre restaurant in Lititz, PA. The pretentious staff clearly thinks otherwise. Unless you enjoy being treated like you don't belong, I'd steer clear. read more

So we learned the hard way that this small town you have to have a reservation for dinner otherwise you don't eat. We went early like between 5pm and 5:30pm thinking we could grab an early dinner and reviews here were good. On arrival we waited a while before waitron asked us if we had a reservation and we said No. She proceeded to say we could come back after 8pm, as they only help those with reservations. We had looked at the website and it mentions you can call and leave a message or email about reservations but it didn't mention that you have to reserve and or you would be turned away. Sending an email without knowing didn't seem the way to go so we tried and failed. Interesting part to me is they do takeout she could have been friendlier and said we did have the option of doing a take out order. Instead her attitude was more like don't let the door hit you on your way out! read more

Wonderful getting back to Kristina and Tony's fabulous operation! It's been WAY too long. Visited Cedar Street restaurant and bar, AND Market at the Wilbur butcher shop and deli. Great lunch at Cedar Street. We got there around 11, but it filled up quickly. Who knew it was Slider Thursday?! Nice beer variety. We started with a Russian Imperial stout and a Spring Rooster IPA from super bartender Angie. Aside from the stout being too cold - I prefer my dark beer at cellar temp - they were both very tasty. B and I shared the Crispy Cauliflower with spicy aioli appetizer. Very nice, and a good size for sharing. B chose the slider special ($10/3), ordering the house bacon burger, the meatball, and the mushroom and black bean burger. She got them on lettuce instead of rolls, sorta like a slider salad. She wasn't thrilled with the meatball, but liked the other two. I ordered the house special ground pork & bacon burger topped with a runny egg and fries. All good! WOW! I've had a couple of meals from here and they've NEVER disappointed. I've gotten two takeout orders and they've executed them perfectly. I wanted to bring my coworker here to try for a dine in experience and neither of us were disappointed. We went over a typically busy hour and found ample parking, which is located in the back. We were quickly seated by the friendly hostess and greeted by our server a few minutes later. It's absolutely beautiful inside and so welcoming. We both ordered the Rooster and I opted for the fries. The sandwich even without the bun was massive. The flavor is fantastic and the accompaniments are great! The fries come in an epic portion but I managed to finish them off, because they were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The quality is exceptional and well worth the higher prices compared to the other local eateries. I have no problem paying for excellent food. Overall, I really enjoy this place and try to get it into my weekly rotation of lunches. read more

Wow! What a great spot. You can just tell how fresh and too notch all the ingredients are! Space is really lovely too. We shared the wings which were delicious with a distinct smoked flavor. Even the blue cheese dressing was delish Lol. Actual chunks of blue cheese not a watery mess. My honey had the turkey club which was fresh and tasty with a little kick due to the pickled pepper mayo.
